Chapter ONE- THE SHE-WOLF IN MY DREAMS
Ace POV
I dreamed that I ran through the forest in my wolf form.
"What the..." I looked down and noticed snow-white paws and a tail.
"Hello, Ace," the wolf said. We skid to a stop. This couldn't be real and had to be a dream. I was only 17, and my birthday was tomorrow.
"Who the fuck, are you?" I asked as the voice chuckled.
"I am your wolf spirit, Apollo," he said as my eyes widened.
"But I'm not 18 yet!" I shouted.
"That's okay, pal."
"I just wanted to visit my Hooman side and see what kind of Alpha I was being dealt with," the voice chuckled. I had to be dreaming.
"Listen, wolf, my birthday isn't until tomorrow, so I suggest you get lost!" I shouted. He snorted.
"Shh, she's near," he howled and panted with his tongue hanging out like a dog.
"Who is near?" I asked and was irritated.
"Our mate," he said. My eyes widened.
"Mate? What, mate?" I asked angrily. He shushed me again as a beautiful light gray wolf with forest green eyes ran past us.
"That mate, buddy," he said and howled delightfully. The she-wolf turned to us and howled back
"Who is that?" I asked curiously.
"I told you our mate and future Luna," the wolf who called himself Apollo huffed.
"She likes the chase," he chuckled and ran after her.
"Hold on..." I didn't get a chance to finish speaking as he gathered a burst of speed and caught up to her, nipping at her legs and howling.
I wouldn't deny it. The she-wolf was beautiful, and her scent was intoxicating. She smelled of honeysuckle and had Apollo drooling. Apollo finally pinned her wolf to the ground and growled at her as she licked his face. I watched his canines extend, and my eyes widened. Apollo inched closer to her neck.
"Ace!"
"You're going to be late for training," I groaned and rolled over as I heard my Mother's voice.
"Okay, Mom," I sighed and exited the bed.
When I looked at the time, the sun shone brightly in my bedroom. It was 7:30, and training started at 8:30. I sighed as the she-wolf from my dream filled my head. I sighed, went into my bathroom, stretched my limbs, and walked to the sink to brush my teeth. After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I looked in the mirror.
"Let's get this day started," I gave myself a pep talk.
My name is Ace Silva. Future Alpha to the Blue Eclipse pack. My Father and Mother are Antonio and Staci Silva, the current Alpha and Luna. I have two younger siblings, Adonis and Anastasia. I'm 6'6, with lightly tanned skin, greenish-blue eyes, and jet-black curls. I kept my hair faded on the sides and my curls a bit longer on the top as a few strands fell on my forehead. I had a minimal number of tattoos like my Dad, and everyone says I resemble my Dad more than my Mom except for the hairstyles.
I walked out of my bathroom and over to my closet. I wore a white tank top, black workout shorts, and sneakers. I closed my door on my way out of my bedroom and headed to the kitchen.
"Good morning," I greeted my Dad and Mom.
"Good morning, handsome," I kissed my Mother's cheek as she greeted me.
"Hey, kiddo," my Dad greeted me as he ate breakfast.
"Morning, Ace," my brother and little sister greeted me.
"Hey, guys," I said.
"Want some breakfast?" my Mom asked, and I shook my head. I grabbed an apple, a granola bar, and a water bottle. I always ate light before training.
"Take your brother with you," my Dad said, and I nodded.
"Let's go, bro," I shouted at my brother as he finished breakfast.
"Have fun," my Mom called out as we left the suite.
As the doors opened, my brother Adonis and I rode the elevator to the first floor.
"Hey, Ace," I saw my future Beta Carlito and Gamma Julio.
"What's up, guys?" I fist-bumped my friends.
"Heading to training?" I asked as they smiled and nodded.
"Our Dads think we need more training and studying time to learn about being the Beta and Gamma," Carlito said, rolling his eyes as I chuckled.
"Same, got baby bro here too," I said.
I ate my apple and granola bar as we headed out of the castle to the training field. Carlito and Julio were spitting images of their Fathers. Carlito had light brown curls that he kept cut short, gold eyes, and was 6'4.
Julio had jet-black hair that he kept short, silver-gray eyes, and was 6'3. We made it to training. I set my water bottle on a nearby table, and we did our warm-ups.
"See you, bro," my brother shouted as I waved him off.
Adonis is 15, so he took self-defense classes. Blue Eclipse started a self-defense course for those 15 and older. So that even without a wolf, you could still learn to help protect yourself.
"So, the big birthday is tomorrow," Carlito said, smiling.
"Hell yeah, I can't wait to meet my wolf," I said and sighed.
"What's up with you?" Julio asked.
"Nothing. Let's just run," I said as we did laps around the track.
Julio POV
I knew something was bothering my best friend. All of us were 17, but Ace was two months older than Carlito and three months older than me.
"I keep having this dream about a mysterious she-wolf," Ace said as we ran around the track.
"A she-wolf? Is she your mate?" I asked.
"I think so. Her scent always catches my attention."
"I also dream about being in my wolf form when she appears," Ace says as Carlito and I look at him wide-eyed.
"Like actual wolf form? With fur, paws, and a tail?" I asked as Ace nodded.
"Damn, that's cool. What color?" I asked curiously, as Carlito wanted to know.
"White," Ace says as our eyes widen.
We all heard the story about Ace's Mother, Luna Staci, being a white wolf with powers. It stated that Luna Staci could wield the power of the elements and have visions of the future and sometimes the past. We also know she is the last white wolf in history unless Ace becomes one like her.
We won't know until he shifts into his wolf tomorrow before midnight. Our Delta Marcelo and his son Hunter were headed toward the center of the field with head warriors Lucas, Tiago, Rafael, and their sons. Lucas Jr, Talio, and Rafe.
"Alright, everyone line up. Front and center," Marcelo shouts.
We all gathered in a line before the four men and their sons. Marcelo looked at us as Liam and his son Tobias came forward, and Tobias got in line.
"Alright, today, we will pair you all into groups and test your skill level. Understood," Marcelo boomed.
"Yes, Delta," everyone said at the same time. Marcelo looked at us with dark green eyes and smiled.
"Ace and Tobias, you two are up first," Marcelo said.
This was going to be a sparring session. Ace and Tobias walked forward and shook hands. Tobias is a hybrid—a wolf and a vampire—meaning he is a competitive fighter, but Ace is much stronger. Ace took his shirt off as his muscles flexed with his movements. Tobias was 6'1 and solid, but one look at Ace, and you would think you were facing off against a bear. I watched Tobias take his stance, gulped, and take a deep breath.
Carlito POV
Ace and Tobias's sparring was a match to see. I could sense Ace's immense aura. Even though he hadn't taken the Alpha position, he was still a force of nature and quick on his feet.
"Ready, set. GO!" Marcelo shouted.
Tobias charged at Ace, throwing punches and kicks at him. Ace successfully dodged his attacks. During our training courses, we learned different tactics and techniques. Ace did a three-sixty back kick, knocking Tobias back on the ground as his body landed with a thud.
"Damn," Rafe said.
Tobias was slow to get up. As he groaned and got up, I knew that kick had to hurt. Once Tobias was on his feet, he returned to sparring. Tobias charged again and threw punch after punch. He managed to get an uppercut hit on Ace's chin as Ace stepped back, and blood spilled down his chin.
I saw Ace smirk as he whipped his chin. Ace got back into his stance as he charged Tobias with lighting speed and did a three-punch combination to Tobias's body. Ace finished him off and did a seven-twenty back kick that made Tobias fly back in the air as he landed on the mat with a hard thud.
"Holy shit!" the guys shouted.
Liam and Marcelo checked on Tobias to ensure he was okay. Liam helped his son up as he looked at Ace. There was a silent understanding between them as Liam bowed and headed toward the castle with Tobias barely standing.
"Nice job, Ace. I see your Dad has been teaching you some moves," Marcelo patted Ace on the back.
After Ace went to take a breather, it was my turn and Hunter. Hunter was 6'2 with solid muscle, messy, curly ash-brown hair, and dark green eyes like his Dad. Hunter was a showoff, especially when she-wolves liked to watch us spar.
"Carlito. Hunter. GO!" Marcelo shouted.
Hunter and I charged each other—trading punch for punch. He could hit like a freight train when you're a showoff and think too highly of yourself. Mistakes happen, and that's precisely what Hunter did. The sparring match ended with me putting Hunter on his ass for the second time.
"That's enough," Marcelo said and eyed his son.
Afterward, I took a water break. It was Julio's and Lucas Jr. up next. Ace and I watched the sparring match until Julio knocked Lucas Jr. on his ass.
"Julio's getting better," Ace said.
"Yeah, he's been learning to be patient and wait for an opening," I said as Julio walked over and grabbed his water jug, taking big gulps.
"Are we still going to the mall later?" Julio asked.
"Yeah, I just need to shower and change first," Ace said.
"So, meet in the foyer in an hour?" I asked as Ace and Julio nodded.
Ace's birthday party was formal, so we wanted to get new suits. I knew Eclipse Valley Mall had the best tailor-made suits in the city.
"Alright, good sparring today. Everyone is dismissed," Marcelo said, pulling his son to the side.
As Adonis ran toward us, Ace, Julio, and I returned to the castle. Adonis resembled Alpha Antonio but had short, curly blonde hair and crystal blue eyes like Luna Staci.
"Are you guys going to the mall?" Adonis asked.
"Yeah, you want to come?" Ace asked his brother.
"Yeah, I need some new loafers to go with my suit for tomorrow's party," Adonis said.
Once we entered the castle, we all went our separate ways to shower and change before heading to the mall. It was almost noon when the guys and I met in the foyer, exited the castle, entered Ace's white Yukon Denali, and headed to the mall.
