Chapter 32
Chapter 32
Gordon rarely smiled. He was typically as aloof as a block of ice.
However, his smile was quite captivating, lending him a youthful and lively air.
The reason I fell for him back then was due to a poster I saw on campus. In that poster, he was in his sports gear, smiling brightly, holding a trophy
His smile was as refreshing as the spring breeze, full of youthful vigor and ambition.
Now, his
smile brought that very poster to mind.
I was utterly startled for a moment.
“Just eat it. No need to hold back.”
He offered another spoonful of ravioli to my lips, his tone unexpectedly soft.
“I can eat it myself.”
His kindness was unfamiliar to me, prompting me to take the spoon and start eating on my own, bite by
bite.
By the time Hector, Yvonne, and Selena returned to the room, I had finished the entire box of ravioli. I felt a warm contentment in my stomach and a significantly improved mood.
Seeing the relaxed expressions between us, the three knew we hadn’t argued, which relieved them.
“This medicine is very effective for detoxification. One bottle should be enough. Gordon, be more careful
in the future. Don’t leave Tay alone again.”
Yvonne came over to check on me and removed the IV needle, not missing the chance to scold Gordon.
“Tay, where will you be staying tonight? We can take you home,” Selena offered as she was aware I was currently living at my parent’s house.
“I’ll take her home tonight,” Gordon spoke up first.
“Fine, we’ll give you a chance to make amends. But Gordon, you owe me a big favor for tonight.” Hector clapped Gordon on the shoulder, then gestured for Selena to leave with him.
“Tay, do you want to go with him or us?” Selena asked, her concern palpable.
“With you.”
“With me.”
Gordon and I spoke at the same time, though I didn’t want to go back with him.
“Let’s respect Tay’s decision. Gordon, you go ahead. We’ll take her.”
Seeing that I didn’t want to go home with Gordon, Selena took my hand.
Chaple–22
“Exactly Forgiving someone isn’t so easy. Do you think everything’s settled with just some ravioll? Our Tay isn’t so easily appeased.” Yvonne quickly joined in to support me.
Having these two steadfast friends was a blessing, saving me the trouble of further explanations.
“Well, we can’t let him off so easily after such an inexcusable act. Let’s have Gordon treat us to dinner another day as a proper apology to Tay!” Hector suggested enthusiastically.
*Hector, whose friend are you, really?”
Gordon was at a loss for words as it was his first time being scolded by so many people. He glared at Hector before standing up and leaving the room with a dark expression.
Evidently, the collective reproach was too much for his pride to bear.
With Gordon gone, Yvonne rolled her eyes, saying indignantly, “I thought this guy might change, but seeing
that sour face, it seems hardly possible.”
“Give him some time. Haven’t you noticed his attitude toward Tay is already changing?” Hector remarked
calmly.
“Not really. I think it’s our Tay who has changed a lot. Why settle herself to him when there are so many other possibilities? What Gordon thinks doesn’t matter to our Tay.” Selena took my arm, voicing her
support
Indeed, I had changed.
Having endured so much pain and despair from Gordon, I would truly be beyond redemption if I were still
moved by him.
