Chapter 10
Chapter 10
The alpha king had no answers. All he could do was stand there and ponder the mystery of Lyra, the one he had come to love so deeply.
The one who had made him lose his first Luna, Nadia. He briefly thought about Nadia but refused to go into it too much.
The only thing he knew for certain was that he would not rest until he found out the truth.
Why was her stomach that way and why was she refusing to come out?

Back inside, Lyra had not put her clothes in her stomach to help her lie about the pregnancy and she could deny seeing the king. She tried her best to see him but she could not stand for so long or he would see her and notice that she was no longer pregnant.
“Owwww” she sighed.
She waited a few minutes to make sure the coast was clear before she opened the door and walked out to the garden. She was hoping to see Aiden. He had said he was going to help her with the fake pregnancy and so, she hoped he had a solution.
The air was chilly and the sun was starting to fall. Lyra had been living with the alpha for weeks now, ever since the alpha had taken her as his
mate. But she still hadn’t gotten used to it. She had been living in the small
villages with her family for most of her life, so the alpha’s home still felt like a foreign place to her -especially without Nadia. That was where si was while she and Nadia were friends.
She had been so excited when the alpha king had chosen her to be his mate after she had lied to him about her pregnancy. He ended up killing his Luna because of her for that, just the way she wanted.
The alpha was an amazing man and he seemed so strong and handsome. She could hardly believe that he had chosen her. But as the weeks passed, she had grown more and more uncomfortable with his presence. He was

always so serious; and she felt like she was always on edge around him.
So, when he had walked away from her door, leaving her alone, she had felt a wave of relief wash over her. She had asked him to leave, telling him that she needed some time to herself. He nodded and left without another word.
Lyra rushed to the garden. She was going to see Aiden. He was the only one she could trust as he was also her friend. They had been talking for weeks now, ever since she had arrived in the castle, and she had grown quite close to him. Their relationship was amazing
He had been the one to encourage her to go to the alpha king and ask for whatever she needed and that had helped her gain more confidence as Luna.
He had also been helping her with whatever plans she needed. He had told her that he would help her with whatever she needed and she had decided to trust him for that.
When she arrived in the garden, she saw Aiden standing in the middle of the path, waiting for her. He smiled when he saw her and she couldn’t help but smile back. He had been a good friend to her and she was glad to have him by her side.
Their night before was more splendid as she had little flashbacks as she walked to him. Aiden was a good k*sser, she could tell.
The innocence he had as he k*ssed her taught her not to judge a book by its cover. Aiden’s l*ps did wonders to her b*dy as they also blew her mind.
He quickly filled her in on the plan that he had come up with. There was a new ceremony coming in a few days. It was a ceremony where the alpha and his men would be seated, winning and dining. That would be the day they would carry out their plan.
The plan was simple. Lyra would say she wasn’t feeling well and when the time came, she would attempt to walk to the podium. Everyone would be watching as she climbed up and then she would halfway and ask a guard for help.

The guard would help her, unaware of their plan. While the guard helps her, she would ‘mistakenly’ trip and fall on her stomach -thereby causing her to lose the pregnancy. Blood would spill down from her abdomen and it would convince everyone.
“But where would the blood actually be coming from? I’m not pregnant. Where would I be losing blood from?” She asked, unclear about the plan. ” Any suggestions on that?”.
Aiden smiled, “I told you I have everything under control. You don’t need to worry yourself. I’ll handle that, all you have to do is to come to my room some hours before the ceremony. I have a plan” he said to her. Aiden, who had been standing all this while grabbed two chairs and handed one to her.
“I can’t sleep well not knowing the plan. Please tell me. I’d love to know what you’d do that day. In case it doesn’t go as planned-so that I’ll have a plan of mine for backup” she said to him.
Aiden sat comfortably on his chair as he raised one leg on the other.
“Don’t you trust?” He said to her, “I do.. but, just tell me she begged.
“Alright. I’ll make sure to wrap something on your abdomen. When you trip and fall, it’ll burst open and splash on the floor. I will also have you. drink something. Something that would put you in the mood too. Something to make you act up, just like a woman in miscarriage. You’ll be fine afterwards” he said to her as he grabbed her soft palms and rubbed. them gently against his.
Aiden lifted the back of her hands and k*ssed it many times and then slowly placed them on his legs. He looked into her eyes as he muttered. words from his mouth.
“Trust me. We would make this work.”
