Chapter 51: 51.
"Zed," Soraya knocked on his door. She had been to his office and he wasn't around. He checked the restaurant as well yet he wasn't there. "Hi Ma'am." a young maid opened the door.
"Is Zed around?" she inquired of him from her.
"I'm sorry but Mr Velasquez travelled for business this morning," she told her.
"Oh, thank you," she replied turning on her heels.
"Is there anything I could tell him or any information I could get across to him for you?" she asked.
JUST LET I---
"I'm sorry for yelling, I will try getting in touch with him. Thanks for your help," she responded hurrying to her car.
But why wasn't he answering her calls?
Was he ignoring her?
Didn't he want her no more?
Those questions run through her mind as she slightly banged her head on the stirring wheel. Her phone rang several times before she answered it.
"Mom?" she impatiently called not interested in what she had to say.
"Good day to you too." her mom greeted.
"What is it, mom?" she asked again.
"You don't sound alright, are you okay?" her mom demanded to know.
"I am fine mom, cut to the chase please," she begged.
"If you say so, how did it go convincing your brother to come work for us? Did he accept?" she crossed her fingers hoping for a positive reply.
"He still stands on his ground. He's not coming, and I somehow understand him. You and dad showed him no love and you expect him to come work for you?" she raised her voice. "Soraya, are you on his side?" she raised her brows.
"There are no sides her mother, you never loved him and Hailey. Ever wondered why Hailey went to an aviation school? She did that to get away from you and your husband. You only care about your business and nothing more. Yes, I was the scapegoat. If I had the courage to decline your offer maybe, just maybe I would be close with my siblings." she poured out her heart.
"You know what, I'd talk to you later, goodbye." she dropped the call and started her car and drove off.
"Girlfriend problems?" his friend asked him as Zed turned off his phone.
"You could say that again." he sighed.
"Running away from her wouldn't solve the problem at hand," Cole advised.
"I know but, she's-----
"Complicated? A hard but to crack? Arrogant?" Cole finished for him as he nodded in agreement.
"Each and every woman differ in their own ways. Maybe all those proved that she cares about you, but is in a state of denial just like you are." he pinpointed.
"I'm not in---
Don't try to deny the fact that you're in denial. It's spelt all over your face." he teased.
"Not funny Cole, not funny." he scolded.
"I'm being serious Zed, sort whatever problems you have with her out. She is the one you love. Sit her down and talk to her, that's when you get back home. For now, call her or answer her calls at least." he added.
"Okay, I've heard you." he sipped from his glass.
This thing called love, aye.

Jess and her anonymous lover, Hans_solo had gotten to know each other through calls and text messages and now it was time for them to meet each other.
"What if he's not the same person on his profile?" she asked Freya who was seated across her.
"Relax Jess...take a chill pill and go with the flow," Freya advised.
"I'm not getting what you're trying to say," Jess said.
"All I am trying to say is relax, the meeting would go well, who knows...he maybe more handsome than his profile picture." Freya encouraged as Carla walked into the office. "Hey, Carla," Jess greeted.
"Baby, heard you've got a hot date tonight." she winked at her.
"That I have," Jess answered.
"Have fun," she said to her as she dropped a dress on Freya's table heading out.
"Jess," Freya called.
"Yes?" she answered.
"What do you think of this wrapped chest shoulder back large ruffled bag hip split turquoise evening dress?" she inquired.
"It's beautiful, Noah taking you out on a date tonight?" she teased.
"No, it's yours." she smiled at her.
"You're kidding right?" she couldn't believe he ears.
"No, no I'm not. I want you to slay tonight. Be the woman he can not take his eyes off tonight." Freya added.
"Thanks so, so much Freya. I really appreciate it." she hugged her friend checking the time.
"Shit, I'm running late," she replied.
"Don't worry, 've got you. You can get ready here besides I would take care of your hair and makeup as well, now go in there and take a shower." Freya nudged her as she entered her suite to get ready.
In an hour and a half, Jess looked stunning. The dress hugged her figure in the right places, her make-up complimented her face.
"I barely recognize me...thanks Freya, I don't know what I would have done without you." she genuinely appreciated.
You welcome, come on let me drop you off at your apartment. Loverboy would be there soon," she stated as they left her office. Freya's office to Jess's house wasn't far. Within a few minutes, they had reached.
"I'll tell you all about it." she got out
of the car and then headed towards
her door. As soon as she got to her door, a horn honked, after which car parked. It was the latest G-Wagon. A young handsome man alighted from the car and walked
towards her.
"Hi, I'm Hans_solo...urgh scratch that the name is Ezra Montenero, and I'm after Faye," he said. He looked even more handsome than his profile picture.
I hope he's not a player.
"Hi, I'm Jess Velasquez aka Faye." she introduced to him.
"And no, I'm not the musician...my twin Jackie is." she clarified blushing.
"You're beautiful, much more than your profile picture shows," he stated the obvious.
"Thanks and you're handsome as well." she complimented.
"You look absolutely stunning tonight, shall we?" he asked leading her to his car.
"Enough of the flattery Ezra, you're making me blush." she added sitting in the car.
"Just let me compliment you, because you deserve it." he sincerely said.
"I'll bet you have seen and been with more prettier girls considering your line of work." she began.
"Sure, there are pretty girls at the
university where teach and I admit I've been with pretty women too. But you are the most gorgeous woman I've ever met both inside and out." he started the car driving off to their destination.>>>>>>
