The Prophecy Of The Wolves I - The Beginning

Chapter ~ Chapter Sixteen ~

The following day, Liliana woke up to her phone ringing. She groaned in annoyance as she turned over and snatched it off the table. “What do you want?” She grumbled in annoyance.

A man cleared his throat on the other end of the phone. “Um. I’m sorry. My name is Ryder. Michael said that this was the phone number for Liliana, the wolf from the prophecy,” he said in uncertainty.

Liliana sighed as she ran a hand through his hair. “I’m sorry. I am Liliana. I’m just not a morning person,” she said apologetically. “How can I help you?” she asked.

Ryder sighed. “Michael said that if I had any concerns or uncertainties about joining you, I should talk to you personally,” he explained.

“Of course,” Liliana said softly. “What types of concerns do you have?”

“My family,” Ryder said softly. “I don’t want anything to happen to them. But, if I join you, I’m sure Atlas won’t hesitate to harm them to get to me,” he explained.

“Of course,” Liliana said as she lay on her back. “I understand your concern. What we can do is this,” she said softly. “I have a warlock friend. He’s mighty. Your family can choose a place they’d be comfortable in until this war ends. He can easily teleport them there, so there’s no trail, and then he can cast protection spells on them and the home they chose. I promise you that they will be safe.”

Ryder sighed in relief. “Thank you so much, Liliana.”

Liliana let a small smile slip onto her lips. “Of course. Is there anything else bothering you?” She asked gently.

“No, that was the only thing,” Ryder said.

Liliana’s smile widened. “Alright then, Ryder. Call me whenever your family is ready, and I’ll have Kaine teleport to you. Or you can bring them here with you, and he can teleport them to safety from here,” she explained.

“Thank you so much, Liliana,” Ryder said gratefully.

“No worries, Ryder. We’ll see you soon.”

They hung up, and Liliana set her phone back down on the nightstand. She turned over to see Cayden watching her in awe. “I’m sorry if I woke you,” she whispered as she turned to face him.

Cayden shook his head. “Don’t worry about it, dove,” he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her on top of him. “You’re an amazing woman. You know that right?” He asked as he pressed light kisses to her neck.

Liliana blushed and looked down into his eyes. “I think you may be a little biased,” she whispered as she brushed her lips lightly over his.

Cayden chuckled as he rolled them over. He hovered over Liliana, putting most of his weight on his forearms, and gently moved her hair out of her face. “I knew it from the very first moment that I saw you. I’m not biased at all. Simply stating a fact,” he said with a grin.

Liliana rolled her eyes before sighing. “We have to get things started today,” she started.

Cayden cut her off with a firm kiss on her lips. “We can worry about that in a few minutes,” he murmured before kissing her again.

Liliana moaned as she pressed her body into his and wrapped herself around him. They had their naked bodies pressed firmly together. He kissed down to her mark, and her eyes went wide as he sucked, licked, and nibbled at it.

Cayden chuckled as her arms and legs tightened around him, bringing his hardened erection to the entrance of her feminine channel. Liliana let out a breathy moan as she swirled her hips, causing his tip to tease the juncture between her legs slightly. He groaned as he pulled away from her neck and looked into her eyes. “Ready for more already, little dove?” He asked with a smirk.

Liliana blushed but nodded as she bit her bottom lip. Cayden let a wicked grin slip onto his lips as he fully slid into her. She moaned as he started sliding in and out of her faster and harder. She dragged her nails down his back, leaving harsh red marks all over his body. His hips pistoned in and out of her, sending him closer to a climax of his own.

Liliana let out a loud cry as she bit down on his mark. She saw stars behind her eyes as she climaxed and dug her nails into his shoulders.

Cayden grunted as he let the pain and pleasure course through his body, bringing him to an earth-shattering climax of his own.

As they both came down from their high, Cayden leaned his forehead against Liliana’s. “Looks like my little dove has claws,” he said breathlessly with a smile.

Liliana blushed as she squeezed her eyes shut. “I’m sorry beloved.”

Cayden shook his head and pressed a firm kiss to her lips. “Don’t be sorry, dove.”

Liliana opened her eyes and gave him a bright smile. Cayden leaned down and kissed her lips. She let out a soft sigh of contentment as she kissed him back. Their little makeout session was interrupted by someone knocking on their front door. “Are you fucking serious right now?” Cayden groaned out as he looked toward their door.

Liliana giggled as she let her head fall back on the pillows. “Who could be knocking on our door this early?” She questioned as she looked into his eyes.

Cayden sighed in annoyance. “Could be anyone,” There was another knock at the door. Cayden growled lowly as he pressed his forehead against hers.

Liliana laughed as she stroked his back lightly. “I can get it, love,” she said softly.

Cayden let out a grunt as he lifted his head. “No, I’ll get it. You stay here and relax,” he carefully got up before walking to the closet. He threw on a pair of shorts before going to the bedroom door. He pinned her with a playful glare. “Don’t you dare move from that spot,” he smirked. “I’m not finished with you yet.”

Liliana giggled as Cayden went downstairs to answer the door.

Cayden grumbled to himself as he made his way to the front door. When he reached the door, he yanked it open and glared at Sebastian. “What do you want?” He demanded as he rubbed a hand over his face.

Sebastian chuckled. “Am I interrupting something?” He questioned with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.

Cayden let out a warning growl as he folded his arms over his chest. “Just tell me why you’re banging on my door so early in the morning.”

Sebastian held his hands up in surrender with a wide smile. “I just thought I’d come by so we can get started on everything else we need to do to prepare for this war.”

Cayden groaned as he tapped his head against the side of the door. “You’re right,” he sighed heavily. “Come in. We’ll meet you in my office,” he said as he closed the door.

“Make sure you don’t take too long,” Sebastian called out teasingly.

Cayden flipped him off as he made his way upstairs. He walked into his room to find his bed empty. Then, before Cayden could panic, he heard the shower. He sighed as he entered the bathroom and joined Liliana in the shower. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her snugly against his body. He pressed his fully hardened erection into her butt as he pressed firm kisses to her neck. “You have no idea what you do to me, my little dove,” he said into her ear.

Liliana let out a breathy little moan as she leaned into him. “Oh, I think I have a pretty good idea,” she said as she wiggled against him.

Cayden tightened his hold on her as he started nibbling on her neck. “If you don’t stop that, we’re going to get dirty again,” he whispered against her neck.

Liliana smirked as she wiggled against him again. “That’s the point,” she said in a breathy voice.

Cayden smirked as he pressed her against the tiled wall. He gently pushed her down so she could bend over in front of him. He let his hands travel down her back before sliding his hand between her legs and rubbing her clit. Liliana let out a breathy moan as she pushed against his hand, wanting more friction. Cayden chuckled as he guided his erection into her wet entrance. They both let out loud moans as he slipped into her until he was fully seated inside.

Cayden kissed the back of her neck as he bent her over further. He grabbed her hair and wrapped it around his fist. He stood up straight and started pounding into her from behind. Liliana moaned and cried out loudly as she met him stroke for stroke. She clawed at the wall before her, quickly reaching her climax.

Cayden picked up his pace, and his thrusts became more powerful, chasing his climax along with Liliana. He continued thrusting into her for a few minutes, going hard and deep with each stroke until they both reached their climax.

Cayden groaned as he slowly pulled out of her. He helped her stand up straight and held her close. He pressed kisses all over her face as she caught her breath. “I am never going to get tired of being with you,” Liliana whispered against his chest.

Cayden chuckled. “Trust me, dove. I feel the same way,” he said before pressing a light kiss to her lips.

Liliana smiled as she started washing him up. “So, who was at the door?” she asked after a minute.

“Oh,” Cayden said as he narrowed his eyes in irritation. “It was Sebastian.”

Liliana giggled as she grabbed the shampoo for his hair. “What did he want?” She asked as she had him bend down just a bit so she could rub the shampoo into his hair.

Cayden sighed. “He wanted to go over our plan for the war,” he clicked his tongue. “Or at least start making a plan.”

“He’s right, you know?” Liliana said with a small smile. “We do need to start planning things out.”

Cayden groaned. “I know, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy spending time away from my little dove.”

Liliana giggled some more as she started washing her own body. “I don’t enjoy it either, but we have a lot of work to do.”

Cayden groaned as he pulled her into his body and wrapped his arms tightly around her waist. “This sucks,” he grumbled.

Liliana laughed as she pulled away from him to wash her hair. “Let’s just get everything started, and then we can have some time alone,” she rinsed her hair before wrapping her arms around Cayden’s waist. “We have to take the little moments when we can, my beloved,” she whispered. “Because until this is over, that is all we have.”

Cayden held her tightly before kissing her forehead and reaching behind her to turn the water off. “I suppose you’re right about that,” he muttered with a frown.

Liliana pressed a kiss to his chest, right above his heart. “Hopefully, this war will fly by and be over soon.”

Cayden hummed in agreement as he grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her. Then, he held a towel for himself and followed her into the closet. “After we’ve finished speaking with Sebastian, we’ll start with your training,” Cayden said to her with a smile.

Liliana grinned. “Okay, my love.”

They got dressed in workout clothes before going to his office, where Sebastian was waiting. Cayden sat in the chair behind his desk before pulling Liliana onto his lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her close as he sighed and started talking with Sebastian. “Do you have an idea of where we can start with this entire mess?” Sebastian questioned as he leaned back in his seat.

“I do,” Liliana said softly.

Cayden grinned as he looked at her with pride in his eyes. “Let’s hear it, my dove.”

Liliana situated herself so that her back was to Cayden’s front and she was facing Sebastian. “Okay,” she took a deep breath before she continued. “Jacques said that the vampires will fight with us. Or at least most of them. His brother, Michael, is a mighty vampire lord with many allies. They should be here within a few days. Along with representatives from our allies and Ryan’s,” she stood up and grabbed the map that she knew Cayden kept on his bookshelf. She spread it out on the desk and leaned over it. “Artemis has given me all the information we need to find more allies. Allies of other species that we will need. Legendary allies,” she pointed at cities on the map. “Once our allies get here, we can send out groups to each location. Each group can have a creature. It’ll be faster that way. Then, Kaine can teleport them here once they have them on our side. Or to Ryan’s territory,” she bit her lip as she looked over the map. “Though I’m not sure if our two territories alone will be big enough to house everyone,” Liliana muttered as she studied the map for a minute before pointing at two different territories. “Who owns these territories?” She asked as she glanced at Cayden.

Cayden looked over her shoulder and shrugged. “The territory on the other side of us is empty. Of course, we’d have to make sure there aren’t any rogues or other creatures living on the land, but as far as I know, it’s empty,” he glanced at the other piece of territory that she had pointed out. “That territory, however, belongs to a pack called Faded Night. It’s Alpha Giovanni’s pack if I remember correctly.”

Sebastian nodded in agreement. “Yes. Alpha Giovanni owns that land.”

“He’s not one of our allies,” Cayden said thoughtfully. “Though I believe that he is an ally of Ryan’s.”

Liliana grinned. “Perfect. One of the first things we need to do is send a group out to this unowned territory and make sure it’s clear.”

“What if it’s occupied?” Sebastian questioned curiously.

Liliana shrugged with a smile. “We negotiate and hope they’re on our side,” she said. “I’ll give Ryan a quick call and have him talk to Giovanni about us using his land as well. Of course, his land will be secured and protected just as ours is,” she sat down on Cayden’s lap, picked up his office phone, and called Ryan.

“Hello,” Ryan answered.

“Hey, Ryan. It’s Liliana,” she said with a smile.

“Hello, Liliana. Is everything okay?” Ryan asked in concern.

“Yes and no,” Liliana said as she ran a hand through her ponytail. “I need a favor from you.”

“Anything,” Ryan said without hesitation.

Liliana giggled before saying. “I need you to talk to Giovanni, the alpha of the Faded Night pack. See if he’ll be alright with us using his land to help house our army. Our two territories alone aren’t going to be enough. We also plan on clearing out the empty land on the other side of us.”

“Sure. I can talk to Giovanni, but he can be a stubborn man,” Ryan explained.

Liliana sighed. “If Giovanni refuses or argues, then have him call me. I’ll talk to him and see if he’ll listen to me.”

Ryan chuckled. “You always were able to talk people into doing anything you wanted them to.”

“You know it,” Liliana said playfully.

“I’ll talk to Giovanni and call you back once I know where he stands,” Ryan said after a minute.

“Okay. Thank you, Ryan,” Liliana said softly. She sighed. “How are Evelyn and Mason?” She asked.

“They’re both doing great,” he said happily. “Mason is getting so big. Evelyn shows him pictures of you all of the time.”

Liliana felt her heart melt at that. “Awe. I’ll come and visit soon. I promise.”

“I know,” Ryan said with a smile. “I’ll let Evelyn know you called and as soon as I speak with Giovanni I’ll call you back.”

“Alright. Bye,” Liliana hung up the phone with a small sigh. “Ryan’s going to call Giovanni and see if he can talk him into letting us use his land.”

Cayden smiled down at her. “You’re amazing,” he whispered to her.

Liliana pressed a loving kiss to his cheek. “I love you,” she whispered to him.

Cayden’s grin widened. “I love you too, my dove.”

Sebastian cleared his throat. “Shall I get a group of men together and go check out the land next to us?” He asked.

Cayden nodded. “Yes. Take a few of the stronger men to be safe. If there are people there, try and talk to them before fighting. We need as many allies as we can get.”

“Not to mention that we are not Atlas. We will not simply take someone else’s land because we want or need it,” Liliana said firmly.

Sebastian nodded his head. “Of course, Luna. We will do everything we can to ensure there is no bloodshed if someone is living there,” he said as he stood up.

Liliana gave him a grateful smile. “Thank you, Sebastian.”

Sebastian bowed his head before leaving the office.

Cayden let out a slow breath. “Alright. What’s the plan, dove?” He asked as he pulled her closer to his chest. “I know you already have one forming in your brilliant mind.”

Liliana laughed as she leaned her head on his shoulder. “Of course, I have a plan,” she sighed. “Right now, all we can do is get allies. I want to start building extra housing for everyone joining us. The bigger creature’s homes will be a bit difficult, but they can always help us fix them when they get here. Other than that, we should be training. Every single person able to train should be. Of course, the younger kids won’t be fighting in this war, but I want everyone to train so they can protect themselves. I don’t want anyone left unprotected.”

Cayden grinned as he pressed a kiss to her temple. “Brilliant, my queen,” he whispered with his lips against her head.

Liliana blushed as she looked down at their intertwined fingers. “I can’t believe that you could blush so easily after what we’ve done,” Cayden said in a low, husky voice.

Liliana’s blush deepened as she looked up at him through her long lashes. Cayden chuckled and kissed her forehead. “Let’s go start your training, dove. The only thing we can do right now is to wait.”

“Everyone should be training,” Liliana said softly.

Cayden grinned. “I’ll talk with our trainer and have him prepare everyone for the new training schedule. He can figure that out today and then start the new schedule tomorrow morning,” he explained.

Liliana smiled and nodded in agreement. “Sounds like a plan.”

Cayden chuckled as he stood up with her in his arms. “You, however, have to start training today.”

Liliana groaned as he set her down on her feet but started following him as he led the way to the gym.
