Some of the pack members had noticed our marks and came over to congratulate us. It all was lovely, but the closer I got to finishing the meal, the more nervous I got. "Sorry, Luca, Ayla doesn't want to be rude, but the thing is I have at surprise for her so we won't be going home anytime soon" Griffin comes to my rescue.
Luca just smiles and walks back into the restaurant after saying his goodbyes. The walk to the forest was quiet and calming. Neither of us said anything because there was nothing we could say now. Not that it mattered, just walking here hand in hand was all the comfort I would ever need.
