Chapter 7.5
Bonus chapter. This was cut from the complete story, however, my Patrons loved it so much I've decided to include it!
Jaxson stomped around the house, he felt the need to move so left Adam at the door while he did the parameter walk. It was either that or barge into the house. His stomach was in a tight knot, his chest tight as if he’d just done the mother of all workouts.
His trousers tightened and he had no idea what triggered it.
’Mate.’
Hmm… maybe he had been thinking of Chris.
Prince Christopher.
He was Prince Christopher. They had no tie, he was not his friend. He had to remember his title and Jaxson’s.
He was a guard. Nothing more.
A growl stopped his movement, it came from inside the house, right next to him. He slyly peered into the window, thanking that the curtains hadn’t been shut.
He was thankful for all of two seconds when he saw the scene before him.
’Mate,’ his wolf whined so pitifully. He didn’t need the bucket of ice smashing over his back, the wrenching pull in his stomach.
He should look away, he had to look away as the Prince ravished another. A female. Her hands over his shoulders.
The shoulders he should be holding onto. Kissing the lips he should-
No.
He was not his mate.
Nausea bubbled in his throat, the acidic burn as he watched the pair disappear from the kitchen. He couldn’t see where they were going and standing looking into the house wasn’t what he was meant to be doing.
Forcing his feet onward, he made another lap, coming to a stop a few paces from Adam. A moan reached his ears and he knew. He knew what was happening.
“You feeling alright?” Adam asked, peering at him from his spot on the other side of the door. Jaxson knew he was dying to lean back against the house. But they had to look professional.
“Yeah,” it came out strangled, he didn’t mean for it to.
“You don’t look OK… you coming down with something?”
“Nah, think I’m tired.” Another moan squeezed his insides. He felt dizzy. His wolf was desperate to burst… run in there and take her place.
He could see the scene. Two naked bodies writhing in pleasure. There was a sickening burn of arousal within him that was ridiculous.
His wolf was howling.
He was hot, his mouth filled with saliva. He ran to the corner of the house, pitching over to empty his stomach. His skin sprang with sweat, his clothes sticking to him as he heaved.
“Dude!” Adam expressed from behind him in concern.
“Fine!” he rasped. “I think I ate something off. I’m fine.”
A hand landed on his neck and he slapped his friend away. “You’re freezing!”
“Fuck off back to your post. Be there in a minute.” He pitched over again, dry heaving.
He choked on a gasp feeling on the peak of arousal. He felt he was going to explode. It made no sense. He grasped the wall, sweating for a whole other reason.
He’d never felt so out of control of his body. The odd unexpected erection, sure. Nothing like this. This was like being a teenager and waking up with a sticky mess in your pyjamas. He sidestepped the pool of vomit and pretended to go do another parameter search. In reality he knew what was about to happen. He leant against the house, his eyes rolling. He could feel something tightening around him. He knew what the feel was but had no idea how… why… it was so strange.
His breath quickened before he spasmed. Reaching a release without any stimulus. His head cracked back on the stone wall.
“Fuck,” he whispered. Panting, he came down for the high of an orgasm he had no idea how he had come to. Swallowing, he looked down to the damp patch on his jeans, smelling his own release. That wasn’t good.
What did he do? He couldn’t go back with this smell on him. Feeling spent, a little empty. But some form of released endorphins buzzing around his veins, he stripped, discarding his jeans in the trees behind the house. He’d come get them later. Tying his t-shirt around his arm in a manner it wouldn’t slip off, he transformed into his dark auburn wolf, padding back to the front of the house. “Covered myself in vomit,” he mumbled over the link to Adam, sounding embarrassed for that reason… not the real reason. He sat on the other side of the door.
“Can smell. Run for a change of clothes, we’re not that far from the guard barracks. You’ll be five minutes if you stay in fur.”
Jaxson didn’t much want to leave, but he couldn’t stay in fur form while guarding. It wasn’t proper.
Sprinting away, he had to ask himself if it was the bond that had caused that. He’d never heard of the link being that strong before marking. Never.
But then… he’d never heard of the same sex announcing as mates.
