The Pigeon Pair Saves The Marriage by Janice Gold

Chapter 15

Chapter 15

Today, Edith went to pick up the children from school.

“Mommy, our today’s homework is to do a handicraft,” Jeanne took Edith’s hand and said on the way home.

“That’s easy. I can help you.” Edith turned to look at Ruben. “Ruben, what kind of handicraft are you going to do?”

Without saying anything, Ruben raised the tablet in his hand and tapped on it in a seemingly casual manner. Then, a structured architectural composition appeared on the

screen.

He looked up at Edith. Despite no expression on his childish face, his eyes were full of pride.

Edith was stunned for a moment but quickly smiled.

She said seriously, “Yeah, that’s good. It can also be considered handiwork.”

After returning home, Jeanne said she wanted to make a rag doll.

Edith clapped her hands cheerfully and sat down in front of the table. “Come on, Jeanne. Let me help. I’m professional on this.”

Jeanne moved and squeezed her away. “Mommy, I have to do it myself!”

“Alright, alright. Then let me teach you.”

Edith brought a chair and sat next to Jeanne, teaching her patiently.

Jeanne held the needle and threaded it back and fo

with a trembling hand.

As she was little and had no experience, she was pricked not long after.

Jeanne put her finger in her mouth and sucked it for a while before lowering her head and concentrating on embroidery again.

She was pricked by the needle several times after she finished making the rag doll with tears. in her eyes.

The

rag

doll looked very adorable.

Edith gave a thumbs up. “Jeanne, you did a great job!”

Jeanne held the rag doll proudly, believing she would win first place.

Edith also had confidence in her. “The doll looks brilliant. You must be the winner.”

The next day, several little girls gathered around Joyce in the kindergarten.

“Wow, Joyce, Your bag is so beautiful!”

“Right. You must be the winner!”

Joyce was surrounded in the middle with a smug smile.

Jeanne was about to step forward to hand in her handiwork but suddenly

aused.

“Hey! Ruben, wasn’t it made by Mommy?” Jeanne widened her eyes in shock and went to

Ruben, pouting unhappily.

Ruben was playing with the puzzle ring with his head down. After a while, he raised his head and looked at Joyce being praised by her classmates. Then, he turned to look at Jeanne and said. “Yours is more beautiful.”

Ruben could tell Joyce was using an auction item to be her handiwork at first glance.

Jeanne beamed with joy and went to find the teacher.

The teacher took the doll and praised in amazement, “Jeanne, this is fantastic!”

When the classes were over in the afternoon, the teacher announced the results of the competition.

As Jeanne did the wonderful handiwork by herself, she won first place.

Jeanne was over the moon, unable to suppress the joy on her face.

The unexpected result riled Joyce.

She was very unhappy and kept glaring at Jeanne. Seeing Jeanne take the rag doll, she rushed over angrily and snatched it.

Jeanne was startled. “What are you doing?!”

Joyce gritted her teeth and tried to tear apart the doll. “This is not made by you!”

Jeanne’s eyes widened in a rage. “How did you know? It’s you who didn’t do the handiwork yourself. It’s obviously from…”

Before Jeanne finished her words, Joyce interrupted her, “No, you didn’t make it yourself!”

“You are a liar! The person who came to the sports meeting last time was not your father! I heard it all. He’s your godfather! Liar!”

As Joyce shouted, she became angrier. Her face turned red, and her voice became shriller.

She threw the doll to the ground in a fit of temper and stamped on it.

Jeanne was fond of the doll, and her eyes turned red. “You!”.

She bent down to pick up the doll that had become a little dirty on the ground. After looking around and not finding Ruben, she felt so aggrieved that she rushed out of the door.

Today, Edith was still waiting outside the kindergarten on time.

Not long after, she saw a Rolls-Royce approaching slowly not far away.

Edith thought it was Danika.

She didn’t want to get close to Danika, so she deliberately went closer to the corner.

Unexpectedly, it was Gideon who got out of the Rolls-Royce after a while.

Edith froze and subconsciously murmured, “Gideon?”

Gideon probably didn’t see her. He leaned against the car, with one hand in his pocket and the other one holding his phone, lowering his head and playing with it.

Gideon had a dignified temperament and an aloof look, making him stand out in the crowd. Edith’s eyes gradually turned cold.

She wondered, ‘What will Gideon do if he finds out that Ruben and Jeanne are also his children? Will he take them away from me or turn a blind eye to the truth?’

Edith let out a sneer and stopped looking at Gideon.

She knew clearly that Gideon wouldn’t care about Ruben and Jeanne since he already had a daughter.

At this time, children started to come out one after another. Gideon put away his phone and looked up.

As a result, he saw Edith standing in the corner not far away.

Moments later, Edith, who was also playing with her phone with her head down, suddenly felt a shadow falling in front of her.

Someone stood in front of her.

She looked up and saw it was Gideon.

Gideon stared at her with his deep and cold eyes and asked a question, his tone as calm as if he were discussing the weather. “You are so busy at work. Why doesn’t their father come to pick them up?”

Edith gritted her teeth.

‘My children’s father is standing in front of me now, but he is there to pick up another child, she thought.

Edith took a deep breath to calm down and said, “Their father is even busier than me.” The moment Shane’s name came into Gideon’s mind, Gideon’s face darkened. He said sarcastically, “You almost do the same work. Won’t you get fed up with each other?” Edith didn’t understand why he wanted to make trouble again. She frowned and retorted, “We will feel disgusted only if we are with the wrong person.”

The next moment, Edith could feel Gideon was getting mad.

Before she could say anything more, a child dashed out of the kindergarten and bumped into Gideon’s legs.

As she lowered her head and didn’t see him, she staggered back after bumping into Gideon. In the end, she couldn’t stand still and flopped to the ground.

Jeanne grabbed the rag doll in her hand and looked up with red eyes.

She tilted her head back and finally saw who it was.

“Jeanne?!” Edith’s eyes widened in shock.

Just as she was about to rush forward, Jeanne burst into tears, moved on the ground, and then hugged Gideon’s legs tightly with two chubby arms.

“Jeanne?!” Edith was even more stunned.

She thought, ‘What’s going on? Why is Jeanne holding Gideon’s leg? Did she know it?’

Countless scenarios flashed in Edith’s mind for a moment, and she tensed up.

However, Jeanne cried and shouted, “You are my dad. You are Ruben’s and my dad!”
