The Pigeon Pair Saves The Marriage by Janice Gold

Chapter 13

Chapter 13

Gideon stared at Edith’s tall and slender back, his brows slowly furrowing.

In the past, Edith never defied him and was as well-behaved as a puppet. She had never cared about herself and devoted all her time to loving him.

But now, she had completely changed.

She became like a stranger, making him unable to get used to it for a while.

When Gideon took a deep breath and walked out of the door, Ray was looking around for him. “Mr. Peterson? Why are you here?”

“What’s wrong?”

The next second, the cell phone in Gideon’s pocket rang.

While he was answering the phone, Ray quickly spoke out what he wanted to say. “Mrs. Peterson came out of here just now. You…

Receiving Gideon’s cold glance, Ray paused and didn’t finish his words.

Ray was used to calling Edith Mrs. Peterson before, and he forgot to change the address today.

Vaguely hearing “Mrs. Peterson” on the other end of the phone, Danika was stunned for a

moment.

She thought, ‘Gideon’s ex-wife… No, they’re not even divorced. Is she back?’

Danika couldn’t tell why she was flustered.

She had forced Edith away, but Gideon kept the divorce agreement without signing it.

She never even knew Edith was Gideon’s wife.

“Giddy, is your wife…” She bit her lip, not knowing how to speak.

Gideon interrupted her, his tone very flat and distant. “Why did you call me?”

Danika froze and finally didn’t ask the question. She was silent for a long time before speaking. “Giddy, Joyce is feeling unwell. Can you come and take a look?”

Gideon held up his cell phone while walking. He asked with a frown, “What’s wrong Joyce?”

“There should be nothing serious, but she is clamoring to see you.”

Gideon stopped in front of Edith’s studio.

“Okay, I get it.”

He raised his head after hanging up the phone and stared at Edith in the office, who buried herself in work.

The collection of cultural relics had been almost complete in the past few days, and Edith had started her restoration work.

She tied her smooth hair into a low ponytail, wore transparent-rimmed glasses, and pressed her lips slightly, looking quite serious through her profile.

No matter how difficult the work was, her excellent capability helped her handle it skillfully.

Gideon stood there, staring at her for a long time.

As if sensing his gaze, Edith raised her head and looked over.

She frowned in confusion, not knowing why he was standing there.

Gideon thought for a while and said, “Focus on your work, and you will get a bonus”

Edith was speechless and didn’t respond.

“Mommy, I’m not feeling uncomfortable.” In the villa, Joyce raised her head and looked at Danika in confusion.

Danika held the phone, her usually graceful face very cold at this moment. She didn’t hear Joyce’s words and was lost in thought.

“Mommy!” Joyce raised her voice.

“Huh?” Danika finally came back to her senses, and her cold face softened.

She squatted down and held Joyce’s shoulders. “Joyce, be good. Just say you don’t feel well when your daddy comes.”

“Why?”

“Only in this way will he come to see you. Except for the last sports meeting, he hasn’t been here for a long time. Don’t you miss your dad?” Danika stroked Joyce’s head, her tone very soft.

Joyce thought for a while and nodded. “Of course, I miss Daddy! I’ll do as you say, Mommy
