The Paragon Antaris - a secret World of magic #2

Chapter 22

INNIA

I looked at Elyon one last time before I went into my dream. His fear for me was obvious, but I had to do this. I had to go into my dream and confront Abbadon. Everything was ready, and Jade was instructed by me. She was lying in her sleep and waited for me to get her. What Elyon didn't know was what I was planning to do. The goal was to get Abbadon, and I knew how. I closed my eyes and whispered the words I knew, and when I opened my eyes I was in a dream.

I saw my cell, which had been my home for years, again for a long time and a shiver spread down my spine. The footsteps that could be heard in the direction of my cell are too familiar to me, and I quickly took my position and with a wave of my hand the Innia disappeared in this dream and I took her place.

The door swung open, and Abbadon stood in front of me. He looked at me with his cold eyes and watched me sitting on the ground. He sat on the floor in front of me and was silent, which never happened, so I knew I wasn't in my dream but in his.

"Why did you come back?" He asked as he looked at me with such disgust.

I was silent and just looked at him. "How come?!" he shouted angrily.

"I wanted to see you," I replied quietly.

He tilted his head to the side and watched my face as if searching for the truth. I pushed aside all thoughts of the plan, of Antaris, and even of Elyon in order to appear more serious.

"Why?" he asked curiously.

"You were right," I replied to pique his curiosity. And I did. His face seemed proud, and his smile was evil.

"I was right about something?" he asked me coldly.

"With everything...the world is lost. Everyone is lost," I replied, lowering my head.

He didn't seem to know what I meant and came a little closer to me. He lifted my face towards him with a finger and looked me in the eyes. He was looking for something, but I held his gaze. "What did you see, Innia?" he asked, still searching my eyes.

I was afraid of him, he could easily kill me, and then that would be the end of me.

"The end... everything is coming to an end. The beings are destroying each other. The good is no longer strong. There are more and more of them weakening. They no longer have a leader," I said quietly.

"What do you know?" he asked me, seemingly at the end of his patience.

I knew I didn't have much time left.

"In Antaris everything is at the end...and Iris is alone. There were so many dead...I saw it in her dream," I said.

He grabbed me by my shoulders and pulled me towards him.

"You were in her dream?" he asked angrily and squeezed me so tightly that I felt his claws on my skin, piercing my flesh. The familiar pain from before rose up in me, and I started to panic.

"I saw her alone and abandoned in her dream. I saw a lot of dead and suffering. I know when everything comes to an end then I don't want to be on the wrong side. I know how powerful you are," I said crying.

"Where is she?" he asked me angrily. "Tell me!" he yelled.

"I don't know... but she knows... the witch I caught... who's trapped in my hut," I said to him.

His eyes shot to mine when he heard that, and he knew who I was talking about.

"She opens portals and wanders through the worlds. I caught her in her dream and hold her tight," I said.

"Where are you?" he asked venomously.

"Spare me if everything is destroyed, and I will give her to you," I said painfully.

"You can take your mother's place. I think I could live with that," he replied while licking my face.

I was disgusted and could claw his eyes out in anger, but I had to be strong.

"I am in the human world. On a lake in Canada in the only hut that can be found there. You will know," I answered him as he looked at my lips and licked his own.

He laughed triumphantly, and I took advantage of his sobriety and whispered my words to disappear.

It took a second, and I was in Jade's dream. I was breathing heavily, and my fear was only now really taking its course. Before I gave in to my panic attack, I whispered the words for Jade to come into the dream and fell to my knees. My lungs gave out, and I couldn't breathe in. I felt Jade's presence and that she was kneeling in front of me. Only after a while did I hear her words coming closer and closer to me, as if from a tunnel.

"Innia everything is fine. I got you. Calm down and let's go home," she said reassuringly.

I shook my head, and she looked at me confused. As I was slowly able to breathe again, I calmed down more and more.

"We have to go to the hut in the forest. The one in the human world that you always dream about. He will come there. I told him that I caught you there. As soon as he appears, you will overpower me, open a portal to Antaris, and disappear. I'll run after you like I want to catch you, and he'll follow us. He wants Iris, and he won't let that get away. He believed me like I saw this as a prophecy," I said in one breath and then took a sharp breath of air that my lungs missed.

Jade looked at me and registered my words with a puzzled expression. She seemed to understand me and opened a portal that took us to the house in front of which she always sat with Noah in her dreams.

"Do you mean this?" she asked confused.

I nodded and sat on the wooden stairs in front of The hut and Jade followed me.

"Noah and I built this house with Devas a long time ago. Back then we wanted to live alone, far away from all the pain and suffering that was after the war," Jade explained sadly. "I stayed away from everything back then and wanted to heal our pain like that. But I was wrong... That's why it's important to me to do everything right this time," she added, looking at me with a smile.

"I'm sorry for putting you in danger. I knew he would come if he saw a direct connection to Antaris. That's why I only let you in on this plan. Elyon would never have allowed this," I answered her sadly.

"You didn't do anything wrong. I had a choice. And this time I decided to fight," Jade said with a smile.

We went into the hut, which was now covered in dust and half overgrown with plants. Jade's eyes looked at the rooms of the house as if they were bringing back the most beautiful memories. We sat down on a pair of chairs that were there and waited. We waited and listened to the sounds of the surroundings, always on guard for Abbadon.

I must have fallen asleep because Jade woke me up and held her hand in front of my mouth. She pointed her finger at the window and I listened carefully. The cracking of the demon traps that were still there, long placed by Devas, caught something. I heard Abbadon's laughter and my eyes widened. The footsteps of the beings hissing and growling became more and more frequent, and I was aware that he was there with his entire army. The earth beneath us shook and crowds of demons could be heard.

Jade gave me a wink and pushed me from the chair onto the floor, and I hit painfully. At that moment, the door broke into pieces, and Abbadon stood in front of me. I looked up at him, and he looked from me to Jade. When I turned to her to warn her, she had already opened the portal and ran through. I got up and ran after her and called to her to stop before the prince of darkness. "Attack, follow her!" I heard Abbadon shout as I jumped through the portal and was caught by Jade. She helped me up and took my hand and started running.

Jade used her Mate ability and alerted Noah, and I did the same. I sensed Elyon, and I knew that he knew what was going on and was taking counsel and getting ready to attack. We ran to the first house, and Jade closed the portal that stopped the huge army's march through. Although not everyone made it through, the army that Abbadon had with him was huge compared to that of Antaris, and panic spread through me when I saw all the beings that obeyed him.

The screaming and howling of the creatures was so loud and terrible that we had to cover our ears as they announced their arrival. Jade took me by the hand and ran through the house to the next and constantly through the whole of Antaris. My legs hurt from running, and I was terrified of what I heard behind me, but I kept running.

The houses behind us seemed to be collapsing like towers of cards, and the heat of the fire that they emitted was close to us. There were only a few streets left, and then the first defense was standing ready. Just as one of the creatures seemed to overtake me and Jade and grabbed us with his blood-stained teeth, an arrow flew straight into his head, and he fell to the ground. I saw Jade's mate Noah protecting us, and Bael standing next to him with all the defenses of Antaris. We ran through the soldiers, and I lost Jade somewhere in the crowd and continued running towards the mansion where Elyon is. I ran up the stairs of the mansion to the front door and turned around and saw the horror before me. Abbadon's army crushed with our defenses and the war scream of our soldiers and the roar of the demons mingled as they collided. Great Father of all beings, help us.
