The Paragon Antaris - a secret World of magic #2

Chapter 13

After we arrived at the Mansion, I knew that my parents would host us for dinner when they found out that Innia and I were now completely united. I looked at my mate after dinner when we were all spending time together, and she was talking to my mother by the window. Mother also found out that she had a brother after over 21 years, about the death of her parents and a whole life before that here in Antaris. It wasn't the same as with Innia, but she could empathize with her because of her brother.

I felt that Innia was grateful for my mother's concern and her words, which were obviously very emotional. Since Innia explained to me that her ability to wander into dreams exhausted her energy, our wandering from dream to dream had been very stressful for her. Before we go into my dream as the angel told us, she had to completely rebuild her energy because we didn't know what was waiting for us there. Her energy was often weakened in the past and her complete recovery often took several days, but in this case it was twice the strain and it took her longer. Our soulmate Bond helped her to recover significantly, but we knew that it would definitely still be a problem. It will take a few days until we wander into my dream. And the decision to look for her brother at that time also seemed logical to me because we could use a portal to find him and not have to wander into a dream. Abbadon obviously knew nothing; otherwise, he would have used him against Innia and abused him too for his plan.

"How do you feel now that you're complete?" Vaell asked me as he sat next to me.

"You know how I feel." I replied happily as I still watched Innia.

"I actually know that. Believe me, it will only get better every day...and maybe now we can find a way to better control your powers." Vaell said.

I didn't think about it, even though he was right because with my mate by my side, I should now experience my full potential. As soon as she arrived in Antaris, my strength was significantly strengthened, which was seen in my outburst when I protected her from the guards upon her arrival.

"We have to see the prophecy first. After that, I can work on myself.." I answered Vaell, who just nodded.

"So you two, I have some news." Devas announced as he sat down next to us and my father joined him.

"I used the time when you were...well, busy and looked for Innia's brother." Devas explained, and my attention was immediately drawn to him.

Innia turned her head to me when she felt how excited I was, and she and mother immediately came to us. Father stood next to Devas , and we listened to him carefully.

"Innia's mother's name was Valerie West; she was an ordinary human and had a son. She was reported missing years ago after a fire in her house alerted human beings, and the son was rescued at that time. I think it was the angel who came along and saved her son the day she was kidnapped from Abbadon and did all that. The thing that aroused my curiosity in all that I found was... well, your father." Devas said as he looked at Innia.

"When I was in the human world with Evelyn, we found out who your father is. And I wasn't sure in the dream, but HE seemed very familiar to me. After I went through everything and all the possibilities with the help of Evelyn, it enlightened me who he was...He was the only son of Baal, the King of Hell, and his name was Charun. All I know is that long before I came into existence, he left the darkness to turn to good. But that all explains your powers." Devas added.

"Abbadon told me he made me a demon." Innia said confused.

"I think by now you know that Abbadon's words are not true, and therefore you shouldn't believe him. I don't know what powers Jacob has yet; I just know that we found him." Devas announced.

"In your mother's house, which has been uninhabited since she disappeared, we found notches in the wall. People avoided it out of superstition or the angel made sure that it was waiting for you. However, Evelyn was able to read what was written there, and this led to us finding out everything ," explained Devas.

"Where is my brother?" Innia asked excitedly.

"Well, he's been living alone on a mountain in the middle of a forest area for many years. We don't know anything more, and we're not aware of his powers either." Devas replied.

"I have to go there immediately!" Innia said as she looked at me.

"Innia...we don't know if your brother is a good being. You won't go alone. We will accompany you. Tomorrow morning," my father said to us.

I nodded to my father, aware that preparations had to be made for everyone's safety and took my mate in my arms to calm her down.

We were interrupted when it became known that the children were back from their trip, and I used this to distract my mate from her thoughts. Nyllis ran into our arms, happy and excited with obviously huge impressions of what she had experienced. She told us all her impressions in Innia's room, and after she told everything for the fourth time, Innia explained to her about our bond. She was a little confused because she didn't know anything but felt the news was good news, which made me relieved.

"Will I have a mate when I grow up?" she asked confused.

"You certainly will, but you're still too young for that. But the time will come." I explained to her.

She smiled at me and decided to live in her room from now on because her best friend also had her own room and she didn't want to be a baby. I had to laugh at her funny statements, and Innia looked at her proudly that she accepted her new life so well. When we took Nyllis to school the next day, and she happily ran to her new best friend who was standing with Aunt Ava, it was time for us to leave too.

"I'm afraid of what's coming." Innia said to me as we walked to father's meeting room.

"I know, I can feel your feelings, my angel. I'm with you, don't worry." I reassured my mate.

When we got to father's house, Devas, Vaell, and Jade were standing there watching my parents argue. Mother really wanted to come with us to support and protect us, which my father refused and reminded her of the royal protocol.

"Mom, we'll be careful, don't worry." I said as the two of them looked at me when we arrived.

She looked at us worriedly and took a deep breath to calm herself; her red aura glowed brightly around her, and father looked at her worriedly.

"Iris, I would also like to go with them. But you know that it's not possible. We have to stay here to protect Antaris and our people. I can now finally understand my father, how worried he was about us, but he still stuck to his guns and promise to the people." My father said reassuringly, and mother seemed to know it too.

She nodded, and he took her in his arms, whereupon her aura slowly disappeared, and she calmed down.

"Now that we've got the drama out of the way, we should get going." Devas said amused.

My mother glanced at him and said in a serious tone, "Take care of my children." Whereupon Devas's laughter faded, and he nodded with a serious expression.

Evelyn was the last to join us, and we were ready to go through the portal opened by Jade. I looked at my mother, who was watching us worriedly, and smiled encouragingly.

"Take care of yourselves," she called after us as we walked through the portal.

We had been walking through the forest for a while now, led by Devas and Evelyn, who tracked him down. When we arrived at a wooden hut, Evelyn gave us the signal to wait to see if she sensed any evil. She shook her head, and Jade also nodded at us to confirm the good nature that lit up Innia's face when she realized that her brother was not an evil being. Next to the wooden hut, there was a man chopping wood, and as we got closer, he stopped in the middle of his swing and turned to us. Devas and Vaell took a few steps towards him, which confused him, and he had a powerful black aura around him. Jade tried to tell us something, but Devas and Vaell tried to calm him down, and after they couldn't do that, they tried to overcome him. He mirrored their every movement, and shortly afterward, they were thrown back on the ground by the man with the same skills and moves they tried on him.

Evelyn ran to them to protect them with Jade's help, but when he saw Evelyn, he took a step back. He looked at us, and his gaze stopped at me. His eyes were angry, and he seemed to see us as enemies. I stood in front of Innia to protect her, but when she came out, his gaze stayed on her, and his face relaxed. His eyes were no longer angry but surprised, and the aura around him disappeared.

"Jacob, wait!" I heard a second man shout as he came out of the house and looked at us.

"I think I taught you that we don't welcome guests like that. Especially not your sister," said the man who Jacob was now staring at with wide eyes.
