Chapter 93 - Fuse of Jealousy
As Bonnie landed inside the lake, she picked herself up and made her way towards Neena faster than the eye could see. However, John blocked Neena from attacking Bonnie again. He wasn't happy with his moments being interrupted. "What has come over you?!" he yelled, expressing his displeasure.
"Step aside now and let me send this vampire back to where she belongs."
"I won't let you do that."
John boldly stood his ground against Neena. He doesn't want to fight her but if worst comes to worst, he will have to forget she has been teaching him how to use his hidden powers in his dreams. The last thing he wants to do is to fight the one that has released so much power to him but he can't just watch her new love be slaughtered.
Bonnie glared at Neena. She wanted to fight back but since John intervened she decided not to retaliate. "Why did you attack me?" she snarled with hate in her eyes.
"It's quite simple, just stay away."
"Stay away from what?" John cuts in with his eyes fixed on Neena. He was lost. 'What could she be possibly talking about?'
"If she must travel with you, let her keep her hands to herself and not around you. Next time I won't just blast her away but to destroy her daylight ring."
After she had said this, she snapped her fingers and disappeared from their presence, leaving a thick black smoke that covered them. This can be seen around witches when they are angry. She doesn't want to make John feel bad. So the least she can do is to leave without getting provoked.
John slammed his hands together causing the black smoke to disappear. "I still do not get it, why is she acting like this?" his face blanked.
"It's very clear my dear. She's just jealous."
"Jealous about what?"
"Jealous of our affairs."
"I won't take that from her. That I possess part of her powers doesn't mean she should choose a partner for me."
"Of course not. She doesn't want to choose for you but from the look of things, she wants to be with you. Remember you told me she kissed you."
"The kiss wasn't real but..."
John's words were pushed back as Bonnie glances at him and spoke with confidence. "But in your subconscious mind, right? If a witch does that, it can mean she's after your love and affection." "Doesn't she suppose to have a mate, why is she after my love and affection?"
"Neena's Mate is a nameless witch; one of the two first-ever created when he came into contact with the All. Every bloodline of witches, warlocks, gypsies, and wizards originate from them." "And what is 'the All?""
"From the knowledge, I have gathered since I was turned, The All is a spiritual energy which runs through everything that exists since the beginning of times when the world was a dark and tumultuous place. The concentrated point is located in a desert. It is also said to be where the dimensions-Heaven and the Underworld-are linked and where magic was at its strongest before the creation of the Higher Realm."
"We should head back to the horses," said John as she gently grabs Bonnie's hand.
The reason why Neena has embraced John with part of her powers remains unknown to John. He just wanted to find answers and possibly get the hell out of this strange place.

The sun bloomed on the horizon, golden petals stretching ever outwards into the rich blue. It is the brilliant flower of the sky that warms the day. It is the invitation to a new day, that sunrise so extraordinary.
Bonnie was standing at the hilltop staring down at her late father's fortified city that is been ruled by her brother, King Afa. From the look of things, things have really changed. It's no longer as it use to be under her father's rule. There would be around 700 people under the fortified city. Furthermore, a manor would be around 4 square kilometers. Thus a knight's fee would be around 6 square kilometers. This has made her brother the King to own about 60 square kilometers of land which was under the rule of her late father the late king.
John noticed the look on her face and the change in her mood. He slides down from the horse and makes his way to her. "If you think it's a bad idea coming here, we can leave now," he said.
"No, we have come this far to go back. We will proceed. I must see my brother."

"Frankly speaking, I don't like the idea of you meeting with the same person that wants you dead."
"I understand your concern for me but I must see him."
"In that case, we..."
John's words were pushed back when they suddenly hear the crack of a tree branch behind them. Swiftly they turned but to their greatest surprise, they have been surrounded by men bearing swords. From the look of things, it's quite clear they are knights. They wore a padded vest called ripon and a cloth tunic made of woven cloth called fustian. They were wearing armor, chain mail - a coat made of lined chains called a habergeon that could weigh up to 30 pounds. Plate mail covered their entire body.
John glanced at Bonnie with curiosity. "Who are these men?"
"They are the knights of Maxis, my late father's fortified city."
The Knight Commander stepped out amongst the knights. He unsheathed his sword as he stared at both John and Bonnie. "You are not from here, are you?"
"Don't you recognize your own 'Princess' when you see her?"
As the daughter of the late King and sister of the current King, Bonnie is to be referred to as 'honorable' or still retain her royal title as the 'Princess.' But no one recognizes her now because it's been long she left home. However, she was able to recognize the knight's commander.
The same knight commander has been loyal to her family for years and was one of the most trusted. She can still recall his name, 'Ramsey.'
Ramsey clears his throat and took a few steps towards Bonnie and John. With his eyes fixed on Bonnie, he said to her, "Sorry, I do not recognize you and you and your companion are trespassing and the King will be unpleased." Ever since the last incident at the palace, the king is now much careful to safe guard his territory from strangers and evil creatures that prey on them.
"Very well then, Ramsey, you will take me to my brother now."
On hearing his name from the stranger's mouth, he became more troubled. It's hard for any stranger to know his name. He's not a talking type but the action type and that's why the late King chose him as the knight commander.

"Lady, who are you?"
Ramsey stared deep into Bonnie's eyes as his men stared at each other in surprise. They couldn't make any sense of what has come out from the stranger's mouth when she referred to the King as her brother. They only know the lost daughter of the King who was taken at the same time the King lost his life.
For over the years, Bonnie has survived the outlaws led by Rabi who were sent to kill her. She picked interest in getting back home when her brother sent Rabi after her again. She couldn't dismiss it. She wanted answers, just like John. Bonnie took a step forward towards Ramsey, she smirked slyly at him, "I'm Bonnie Willzo, the daughter of King Gilbert Willzo."
On hearing this, Ramsey bent a knee as a sign of reverence. "My Princess," he said with his head slightly lowered.
"That's impossible," the knights with Ramsey started mumbling amongst themselves. It was the King that brought the news that she was dead and they mourned her. Although the King didn't reveal to them she was turned into a vampire and exiled. Only the king and his council knew the truth.
"That's not possible," Ramsey said standing to his feet.
"Nothing is impossible around here Ramsey. You told me that years ago, remember."
Bonnie's memory of her moments with Ramsey as a child was still fresh. She remembered the time the vampires invaded their home and Ramsey was to protect her. She wondered how the vampires breach through their defense. The response of Ramsey was, 'Nothing is impossible around here.'
"I remember," Ramsey smiled.
Ramsey ordered his men to put away their swords. He has confirmed the identity of Bonnie and thinks they are no need to still have their swords drawn out before her.
"Take me to my brother; he needs to know that I'm home."
