Chapter 66 - Banquet's Ended
Everyone was overcome with fear and stood up, their faces horrifyingly terrified. Nobody approaches the king wearing a sword slung around their waist. All those who approach the king must unstrap their swords, with the exception of the king's general.
It's a banquet and no one is strapping on a sword, not even the general, Gerald. "Guards!" the king cried out in a very troubled voice.
The guards in the hallway leading to the banquet hall have been killed by the canine-looking creature in order to gain access to the banquet hall.
Gerald and Leon quickly walked up to the king. "We need to get you to safety, my king," Gerald said grabbing the king's hand. "Bring my sister and Eva with us."
"Definitely my king," Gerald replied.
Leon walked up to the Eva and princess. The Princess was staring at the head of Andrew. "Please my Ladies, come with me."
The canine-looking creature began to slay the guests one after another.
Some of the guests were able to escape through the east wing door of the banquet hall, while some have fallen victims to the night.
"Quick my love, this way." Adrian who was present at the king's banquet with his wife made his way to the east door at the banquet hall.
Things were already getting out of hand. Maxis' guards who were outside the palace were alerted by Gerald after he have taken the king to safety.
Heavily armed they rushed back to the banquet hall. The canine-looking creature was standing close to the king's throne.
He has slaughtered almost half of the quests and when he saw Gerald leading the guards through the main entrance of the banquet hall. He stared down at them and yelled. "Where is the lost book of Anubis?"
Gerald ordered the guards to stand down and then opens his mouth to speak. "We have no idea of what you are talking about."
"Then everyone mortal in this kingdom will have to die. To save yourselves from my wrath and Set's wrath, hand over the lost book of Anubis to me, now?"
"As I said, we have no idea of what you are talking about."
"Then prepare to die."
With his daemon flaming sword, he propels himself towards Gerald and the guards.
"Shield, wall!" Gerald echoed.
The guards were all bearing shields and on hearing Gerald's order, they quickly used their shields to build a defense wall.
The canine-looking creature crashed into the shields. With a violent wind that came out from him when he crashed, the guards and Gerald were blasted away; each slamming to the wall.
The canine-looking creature stood to his feet and started making his way to Gerald.
Leon has been standing at the main entrance observing what has been happening as he has been instructed by the king to go help, Gerald. He was bearing a crossbow. And as the canine-looking creature approaches Gerald, he positioned his crossbow towards the creature and released his first shot at him.
The arrow from the crossbow hit the creature and then bounced back. "Oh-oh!" Leon exclaimed.
Swiftly the creature turned around and started sniffing. He caught a glimpse of someone standing by the main entrance of the banquet hall.
He switched his attention to Leon as Gerald dragged himself to his feet.
The creature was still bearing his daemon sword. Leon became shots of ideas as he began drawing back trying to get away from the creature.
"No mortal has ever done what you just did now." the creature mumble still making his way to Leon.
Leon threw up his hands above his head. He smiled down at the creature and then said, "Perhaps we can work something out!"
"Give me the lost book of Anubis and I will spare you."
"I don't have it," Leon replied and then turned around to get away from the creature.

...Princess Bonnie's Chamber...
Princess Bonnie paces around in her chamber trying to make sense of what has just happened. Some hours ago, she was with Andrew and now the young man is dead for nothing. She was the one bearing the lost book of Anubis after Eva used it to resurrect her brother.
She was feeling guilty about Andrew's death. She blames herself for his death and then approaches the cabinet where she stashed the lost book of Anubis.
As she was about to open the cabinet, she caught a glimpse of Kyle standing by the window. Swiftly she turned around. "What are you doing here?"
"I have returned for my answer and I hope, it's yes because I don't take no for an answer."
"Please, now is not the time. A canine-looking creature just ruined my brother's banquet and many will die if I don't return what he seeks."
Kyle glared at the princess and then started walking towards her. "That's not my concern until you accept and be my bride."
"Please, Kyle, can we talk about this some other day? Now is not the time. The palace is bleeding because of..."
Kyle harshly interrupted Bonnie. "Damn the palace. I destroyed your enemies and kept you all safe and made sure no harm comes to you. If you turn me down, you will hate what I will become. So think again and answer wisely." After a long pause, Bonnie finally opened her mouth to speak in confidence and boldness. She lifted her head towards Kyle and with her eyes fixed on him. "The answer still remains the same. No, Kyle, I can't marry you." A violent wind began to beat against the princess slamming her to the wall. The windows slammed rapidly as Kyle's eyes turned red.
...At the Hall...
The canine-looking creature grabbed Leon and lifted him above the ground; with his daemon sword raised above his head to strike him. A voice spoke from behind, "You will unhand the mortal now!"
Slowly the canine-looking creature turned to behold him who has spoken to him to unhand Leon. He was able to recognize the voice and as he turned still lifting Leon above the ground, he beholds a falcon about 13ft tall wearing a crown. Without hesitation, he tossed Leon to the wall and quickly went to his knees. "Forgive me, Lord Horus, I was acting on Lord Set's order."
Two years ago, Leon visited Egypt to train more on swordsmanship. And during his time there, he has heard most Egyptians talk about a falcon-headed god. A god in the form of a falcon whose right eye was the sun or morning star, representing power and quintessence, and whose left eye was the moon or evening star, representing healing.
Although he never believed all those stories he heard during his time in Egypt. He believed they were all myths. He couldn't believe his eyes when he looked up from the ground and saw the falcon-headed god about 13ft tall standing before him.
Horus glared at the canine-looking creature and then said in a calm but ungentle tone. "Go back to Set and tell him my wrath will be upon him when he tries to hurt the mortals for the sake of the lost book of Anubis. Anubis will get his book back the way he chooses and does not need his help.
"I will do as you have said, Lord Horus."
With a flap of his left-wing, Horus opened a portal and blasted the canine-looking creature into it, sending him back to Set.
Staring down at Leon, he disappeared before his eyes.
"Oh no! He is real." Leon cried out as he drags himself to his feet.
Set's Palace in the Desert Land Set was enraged with the news the canine creature brought to him about Horus interfering in his business. He poured out his anger on the canine creature slamming him through the pillars of his palace. He then held the canine creature down with his foot. "You should have opposed Horus than to bring me this news."
"Forgive me my lord but you know I am no match with Horus." The canine looking creature said in a fading voice. "And you know quite well you can't stand my wrath, yes?"
The canine looking creature swallowed a lump and pleaded in a gentle soothing voice. "Lord Set, you are just in what you will do to me now but show me mercy."
At the Princess' Chamber King Afa and Eva rushed into the princess' chamber believing to have heard noises and strange voice. As they make their way around the chamber, they saw the princess lying unconscious next to her cabinet. "Bonnie!" King Afa called out as he rushed to check on the princess.
Walking towards the cabinet after the king, Eva asked in a tiny voice, "Is she alright?"
