Chapter 64 - Set’s Lust
Anubis departed for Egypt. He spins his staff incredibly fast and hurls it into the air--allowing him to be pulled into a flight via an unbreakable strap attached to his staff. As he was getting close to the Pyramid he was stroked down from the sky by an unseen force.
The blast of lighting followed suit blasting him through the pyramids. With his staff, he supports himself to rise to his feet.
It's as if someone was opposing him but he couldn't see who it was. He started looking around without stopping.
A violent wind began to beat against him starring up sands that he couldn't clearly have a view of what's happening around him. Positioning his staff in his hand, he stroked the ground forcing the violent wind to seize. "Who is it? Show yourself now!"
A voice spoke from the pyramid in a loud thunderous voice. "You are not worthy to behold my face Anubis!"
"Why don't you let me go about my business? Why do you oppose me?” Anubis never stopped looking around trying to find the one whose voice he just heard.
Whoever has the gut to oppose the god of mummification and the afterlife must have the gut to put up a fight with him.
At this time Anubis started spinning his staff, knocking out the pyramids one after another. As this was happening, a large rock came out from the ground and knocked him down.
As he slowly puts his head up, he caught a glimpse of a figure, with a canine body, slanting eyes, square-tipped ears, tufted tail, and a long, curved, pointed snout.
He was able to recognize who it was as he quickly jumped to his feet and stretched out his hand for his staff as his staff mysteriously appeared in his hands. He can be able to get his staff no matter where it has fallen or where it is. Once his hand is stretched, the staff will appear.
He glared at the one standing before him who has made his presence known to him. "Set, why do you oppose me?"
...In Egypt...
Set approaches Anubis bearing a scepter and shield. With his eyes fixed on Anubis in a weird manner, he opened up to speak. "I heard the mortals have in their possession, your lost book. As the god of war, I have declared war on them."
