Chapter 22 - My Sword: My Fist
The soldier from Wex didn't move into the cave but waited outside to watch over their horses. When he heard the king say, 'We have to go,' he had to move around to capture the king. Unaware of Gerald's presence the soldier from Wex asked King Afa to go on his knees. He thought it was just the king and Eva.
"This is absurd, the king knees to no one," said King Afa.
"The king knees to me now!" the soldier yelled twisting his wrist with the sword moving in King Afa's face.
Crawling out from the hole at the top of the cave, Gerald slowly pulled out his sword making no sound, he approaches from behind and slit the throat of the soldier. Tossing him to the ground, he spat on him, "Burn in hell!" he said.
At the Palace in the Kingdom of Maxis "It's already getting dark and no sign of my brother," Bonnie said feeling restless as she paced up and down in her chamber.
"What about Gerald, any word from him about the king?" Kay asked.
"None of the soldiers has returned except the one who was injured and the one who brought him back," Bonnie replied.
At the Woods Walking towards the woods in the dark, they could hear the spooky sound of the forest, the wind whispering in the leaves. "We have no horses to ride on, we have to increase our pace," said the king.
"I am already losing my strength and I need to rest," said Eva as she leaned back on a tree trying to catch her breath.
Gerald didn't like the idea of having Eva slow them down. He has lost his men and he's not ready to lose the king for the sake of a palace maiden. "It's creepy out here and we should continue our journey." "Give her a break, she needs rest," King Afa cuts in as he moves closer to Eva.
At the Palace in the Kingdom of Maxis As the Princess was pacing up and down in her chamber, she heard a gentle knock on the door. "Please, can you open the door, we need to talk," Queen Afi said from outside the door. "Go away if you are here to talk on meaningless matters," Bonnie replied.
"She is still your mother," Kay whispered.
"Seems like you have overstayed your welcome," Bonnie glared at Kay.
"Forgive me my princess but you have to hear her out," Kay said.
Meanwhile, Queen Afi never gave up as she continued knocking on the door, "Please, I won't take your time," she said.
"What's it?" Bonnie asked after she had opened the door. She was not looking at her mother's face but looking away. She can't remember the last time her mother visited her in her chamber.
"I know I have been a bad mother to you but I am still your mother and I do not want any harm to come to your brother and you as well."
Bonnie was still looking away and was mean to her mother, she couldn't trust her mother when it had to do with Drew. All Bonnie could think of was having the king back to Maxis. "Is this what you came here to tell me?"
At the Woods Just as King Afa helped Eva to her feet, Drew and the soldiers from Wex have them surrounded. There were nineteen soldiers in number. With their sword drawn out, they surrounded King Afa, Eva, and Gerald.
"Drop your sword," Drew said to Gerald with his sword pointed towards him. "Your experience in King Gilbert's army will not help you now. You are surrounded." Drew added with his eyes on Gerald and his sword still pointed towards him. Gerald is not an easy man to handle. He ignored Drew and held his sword firmly ready to fight no matter what it would take. His courage was what the late king saw and appointed him as the general of Maxis.
"I said, drop your sword now!" Drew yelled moving towards Gerald. He was still on his horseback as he pointed his sword at Gerald.
"Do what he said, I don't want anyone to die again tonight," said King Afa as he glanced at Gerald.

"You heard your King, drop your sword now!" Drew yelled at Gerald.
Tossing his sword at the feet of Drew's horse, Gerald took a step back. "All of you, on your knees now!" Drew said.
"You must be out of your mind commanding your king on his knees," Gerald cuts in angrily. This is the reason he killed a soldier who asked the king to go on his knees without warning the soldier to drop his sword. "He is no longer my king," Drew replied as he chuckled.
"Get on with it and kill me as you did with my father, King Gilbert," King Afa dared as he stood in front of Drew's horse.
"Hahaha!" Drew laughed out loud. Gazing at King Afa, he smiled down at him with a fake smile, "You think I killed your father?"
"Nah!" Drew said as he slowly climbed down from his horse. "Your father died a natural death," Drew added standing in front of King Afa.
"That's what you made us believe but that's not what my father told me. He told me his death was not natural."
"Did he mention to you that I killed him or what?" Drew asked with curiosity.
"It doesn't matter," King Afa replied lowering his head.
King Gilbert certainly told his son, King Afa, that he didn't die a natural death but was killed. King Afa however, was not able to get the final piece of the information from his father before Eva brought him back from the land of the dead. "You see, you are just like your father! Always uncertain of certain things!" Drew rashes at King Afa. "Now, you will kneel before Drew or you will feel my sword, my fist," Drew threatened as he waved his sword in the king's face.

"Don't you have respect for your king or even reverence for this kingdom?" Eva cuts in glaring at Drew.
"I will not have a palace maiden who humps the king talk to me in such a tone!" Drew said fixing his focus on Eva.
"That's right, you got one thing right! He is the king!" Eva replied without any fear in her.
On hearing this, Drew was enraged as he slapped Eva with his left hand. The force of the slap knocked Eva down as the king quickly reached out to her. He bent down to check on her, "Are you alright?" he asked.
"I am fine my king," Eva replied.
The tone of Eva's response broke King Afa's heart as she spoke in pain. This enraged the king and he drags himself up. His rage was so fierce that he kicked Drew to the tree. Hastily he makes his way to Drew and holds him down with his foot as he quickly picks up Drew's sword.
The soldiers from the kingdom of Wex wanted to interfere but King Afa held Drew's sword against Drew's throat. With his foot, he held Drew down and the sword to his throat, "One more step, and I will slit his throat."
"He means nothing to us. You can slit his throat or we will tear him apart to get to you," one of the soldiers said positioning his sword.
With his sword drawn, the commander of the Wexan soldiers descended from his horse and commanded his men, "What are you waiting for? Seize the king!"
They heard a wood shatter from their rear before they could move to confront the king. The Dybbuk turned to see what it was, and its claws dug into the commander's chest as it leaped at him.
