Chapter 19 - Trapped
Land of the Dead King Afa gradually regained consciousness, he found himself trapped in a mysterious and unfamiliar world - the land of the dead. He was disoriented and confused, not knowing how he got there or what to expect. His body lay unconscious in his chamber, while his spirit wandered aimlessly in this strange realm. Slowly, he tried to stand up, but his legs were weak and unsteady. His eyes searched for his sword, which he always kept close, but it was nowhere to be found. His heart sank as he realized that he was unarmed and vulnerable in this unknown place. He whispered to himself in disbelief, "Where am I? What has happened to me?"
"Son!" a voice echoed from on top of a mountain.
King Afa's heart skipped a beat as he heard a voice calling out to him from the top of the fog-covered mountain. He turned quickly, his eyes scanning the misty peak for any sign of the speaker. Though he couldn't see the person, the voice was unmistakable - it sounded like his late father, King Gilbert.
Afa's mind raced with questions and confusion, as he struggled to make sense of the situation. Taking a closer look around him, he realized that the place was nothing like his Kingdom. The trees surrounding him were taller, thicker, and had different leaves than any that he had ever seen before. The air was chillier and had a dampness to it that made him shiver. He couldn't comprehend how he had ended up in this mysterious and unfamiliar place.
The trees surrounding the area appeared to be defying gravity, not rooted on the ground but instead floating a few inches above it. As he stood there, a feeling of fear began to grip him, and he found himself in a state of spellbound awe. Suddenly, a voice echoed from the top of the mountain, calling out to him once more, "Son!"
The urgency in the voice was unmistakable, and he couldn't resist the call. With a quickened heart, he replied, "Father, is that you?"
As he walked towards the mountain, he struggled to see beyond the dense fog that engulfed the area. Despite his efforts, he couldn't make out any distinct features of the terrain. Confused and disoriented, he continued his journey towards the foot of the mountain. As he approached, he noticed that the mountain appeared to be moving away from him, causing him to freeze in terror. It was an unsettling and surreal sight that he had never witnessed before. He felt his heart pounding in his chest as he struggled to comprehend what was happening. As he stood there, he tried to rationalize the situation and wondered if he was dreaming or hallucinating. He focused on his senses and surroundings, trying to determine if he was still alive or if he had passed on to another realm.
Startled by the whimpering, he quickly turned around only to see a hairy creature in the shape of a dog with red glowing eyes emerging from behind. "Oh no!" he cried out upon seeing the creature.
Drawing back from the creature, the creature ran towards him and quickly pounced on him. Opening its mouth, King Afa was scared when he saw its razor-sharp fangs when it opened its lips. He cried out loud grabbing the creature by the neck while avoiding its fangs. The creature struggles with him trying to bite him.
An old man descended from the top of the mountain and smacked the beast away from King Afa using a wooden staff. Relentlessly, the beast sprang up and lunged in the direction of the elderly man. He could change his wooden staff into a sword with a single snap of his finger. He severed the creature's head before it could swing at him.
Afa leaped to his feet and stared carefully at the elderly man, unable to get a clear look at him because of his long, flowing white hair that obscured his face.
As he parked his hair and secured it with a white hairband, the old man remarked, "You find it hard to recognize your father."
Afa hurriedly put his arms around him and exclaimed, "Father!" upon recognizing his face and voice. **Presently**
At King Afa's Chamber Slamming Bonnie and Kay to the wall, the Dybbuk makes its way to where King Afa is lying unconscious on his bed. "Stay away from my son," said Queen Afi in a quivering tone. Her eyes were constantly fixed on the Dybbuk but deep down, she was really scared. But as a mother, she doesn't want any harm to her son.
With a purring sound, the Dybbuk slammed Queen Afi across the other side of the bed. Immediately the Dybbuk's attention was fixed on King Afa who was still lying unconscious. Sniffing on the King; the Dybbuk quickly picked him up and jumped down through the glass window.
No!" Bonnie cried out as she quickly stood to her feet and rushed towards the window. She saw the Dybbuk as it scaled through the walls of the palace. The guards that were on watch started throwing spears at the Dybbuk but none of them was able to hit the Dybbuk with the spear.

"The creature is gone and it has my brother," said Bonnie as she quickly turned towards the door. Without hesitation, she made her way out of the chamber and headed straight to the Palace Mew. Jumping into one of the horses, one of the top-ranking soldiers blocked her from leaving. With his head slightly bowed, he said, "My Lady, my men are already after the creature." "Out of my way Gerald," said the Princess.
Gerald is the general leading the king's army and the entire army of Maxis. He's the elder brother of Commander Gil who has lost his life trying to protect the princess from ferocious hounds of the woods. He has served the late king, and King Afa has wished to retain him as the general of Maxis. He led many battles with the late king and came home with many plunder. He was the general who fought beside the late king and his friend Drew against the kingdom of Wex before the truce. Gerald is numbered amongst the bravest and the strongest in the entire Maxis just as his fathers before him.
"We need someone to watch over the affairs of the kingdom my Lady. The King will have my head if anything should happen to you out there. Allow my men and I to handle the matter. We will get the king and bring him back in good health," he said with his head slightly bowed.
"Fair enough. Get to work," she replied as she slowly mounted down from the horse.
"What do you think you want to do?" Queen Afi asked as she rushed out to meet with her daughter, Princess Bonnie. "Do you think I will stand and watch my two children be devoured by that evil creature?" Queen Afi added. "Stop acting as if you care. Besides this is what you want. You want the throne for yourself and Drew," Bonnie harshly replied walking out from her mother.

Kay who has been listening from the stairs leading to the main palace quickly paces up to meet with Bonnie, "What's that supposed to mean?" she asked with her eyes fixed on Bonnie.
"We should be concerned about how to get my brother back," Bonnie replied.
Seeing one of the guards on patrol, she called him forward, "Set up a search team, find me the healer," Bonnie ordered.
Taking a low bow, the guard replied, "As it pleases you, my Princess."

Gerald led his men down the woods as they galloped down the rocky road with their swords and spears in place. Suddenly a thick dark cloud appeared from the ground and covered them all.
