Chapter 19: In The Shadows
It’s been three weeks since they had the welcome home ball for Princess Elizabeth, as well as three weeks since Eliza told her real parents what had happened during the seventeen years of her life, and what they missed out on. Christina and the others were utterly happy once they heard that Sophia wasn’t going to be queen anymore, and that Elizabeth would be instead. Erica told Eliza that she didn’t have to stop performing, and that they have a recording studio in Tynix called: Fangs, Furs, and Fantasies. The royal family was currently having lunch outside in the royal greenhouse, where the pixies attended to the magical plants.
“So, how have you been adjusting to the palace and the kingdom itself?” asked her real mother.
“I don’t know if you’d call it adjusting, but every day I get lost in a new place or some part of the castle.” giggled Eliza along with the others except Sophia.
“Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it.” said her real father.
“Eliza, I hope it’s okay with you, but I’ve let the headmistress of the school that Sophia attends know that you’ll be starting high school with Sophia. The school is really wonderful and will help teach you all about your magic abilities while also teaching you the things you need to know about our kingdom, so you’ll be ready when you become queen.” said her real mother. This sudden news had made Evie and Sophia yell out in union, but for different reasons.
“What!?” they yelled.
“Awesome! I’ll be able to show you the cool places and the ghouls will be so hexcited!” exclaimed Evie while Sophia just snarled silently in anger.
‘How could they do this to me? Magix Academy was the only place I could call my own, but now Eliza just had to waltz in and take everything from me. First it was the throne, and now it was the school. Could things get any worse?’ she thought.
“Um, yeah, sure. When do I start?” asked Eliza.
“Tomorrow. The carriage limo will pick you both up at 7:45 a.m. I hope waking up early isn’t a problem for you?” asked her real mother while arching her brow in question.
“Not at all. I’m both a night person and a morning person.” said Eliza.
“Wonderful! Eliza, dear, could you meet me in my study chambers after this? There is something I want to show you.” asked her real father.
“Sure, dad.” said Eliza. This somehow made King Henry to smile at the mention of the name being called dad since she hasn’t been calling him that lately ever since she arrived.

*Sophia’s P.o.v*
Ugh! I’m sick and tired of that stupid Eliza. Who does she think she is? Waltzing up to MY castle doors, claiming that she’s the lost princess, and future heir to MY kingdom! And now, she’s going to go to the same school as me!? What is wrong with this cruel world? I went to my room after lunch was over, and cried into the sheets of my bed, making them moist in the process. She couldn’t have waited a few more years to show up after I would have been crowned queen? Why does this have to happen to me?
*End of P.o.v*

While Sophia cried, a shadowy group figures lurked in her room. Sophia felt the cold shrill it gave her, and made sure to close the windows in her room, and then to wrap herself in her blankets even more. The shadowy figures that were spying on Sophia were Greymore’s minions, and soon he would have Sophia on his side to overthrow Eliza, but in within the remaining time, he must watch and wait as Sophia’s anger, hatred, and jealousy towards Eliza grows stronger for him to come out of the shadows.
