The Omnipotent Mrs. Ranford By Darlene Wright

Chapter 55

Chapter 55

When Alexandra got up and went downstairs the next morning, she found Josephine and Julian already in the dining room.

As soon as she went downstairs, Josephine called, “Alexandra, come and have breakfast!”

Alexandra’s heart skipped a beat. “Why was Grams so enthusiastic about me?”

She slowly walked over with a restless heart. Unexpectedly, before she could sit down, Josephine grabbed her hand.

The old lady’s hands were warm but a little rough.

Alexandra blinked her big, adorable eyes and looked at her. “Grams.”

“Sit down and see if you like the breakfast today.”

Alexandra was suspicious and curious at the same time.

She said inwardly, “Did a fairy possess Josephine after sleeping all night?

“Why did she have a completely different attitude toward me?”

Sitting on the other side of the dining table and eating porridge, Julian added kindly, “Grams said that after you massaged her last night, she slept especially well. She slept until dawn, and her appetite improved.”

Josephine pulled her to sit next to her. She glanced sideways at Julian and said to Alexandra, “I’m not praising you, but do your hands have some kind of magic? My stomach hurts for a few nights. I really slept very comfortably last night. My stomach doesn’t hurt either.”

“Really? Then I’ll give you a massage again tonight!” Alexandra glanced at her fair hand and felt a sense of accomplishment.

“Alexandra, have you learned massage before?” Josephine asked as she put an egg in Alexandra’s bowl.

Alexandra shook her head, “No, it’s probably because I’m talented.”

Julian glanced at her, but Alexandra ignored him.

While Josephine was even more satisfied with Alexandra and chuckled. “Yes, Alexandra is always surprising me. She can score even higher than a math genius in the entrance examination. The effect of the massage she gave me is even better than the expensive medicine I took.”

With Josephine’s praise, Alexandra felt a little smug.

She suddenly felt like she had really become an immortal fairy.

She smiled and said to Josephine, “Grams, it’s not that I’m good at cooking, but your body is strong. You’re so kind. Those illnesses and disasters. definitely won’t dare to come after you!”

“Hehehe…” Josephine looked at Alexandra’s young face and suddenly realized that this little girl was getting cuter and cuter. “I just realized that your little mouth is so sweet! No wonder Julian likes you!”

“Ahem, ahem… Alexandra was eating an egg when she heard Josephine’s words. Her throat suddenly froze.

Josephine quickly handed her a glass of milk and even patted her back.

Julian looked up at her and saw that her face was red.

Alexandra took a sip of milk and finally calmed down.

She stole a quick glance at Julian. Holding the cup, she said to Josephine seriously, “Grams, Julian is good in every way, but he was too concentrated on work. Not only does he have high expectations of himself, but he also has high expectations of others. I heard from his assistant Marco that if an employee’s job is a little off, Julian will deduct their salary! Grams, isn’t this bad? You’re such a kind person, and you’ll definitely be very tolerant of your,

employees!”

Julian curled his lips. His hand that was holding the spoon stopped in midair. “She was insinuatingly accusing him just because Grams was grateful to

her.”

Josephine didn’t know why Alexandra brought this up.

However, in her opinion, it was because Alexandra was so kind hearted that she was thinking from an employee’s point of view

She looked at her grandson. “Julian, this is your fault. Who can do everything perfectly like you? It’s also a kind of charity to be more tolerant of your

subordinates.”

Julian, who had been wronged, nodded obediently and said to Josephine, “Grams, you’re right.”

Alexandra continued telling Josephine, “Grams, someone accidentally spilled red wine on his clothes at a ceremony yesterday. He insisted that the person compensate him for his clothes! That little girl is so poor, and she can’t afford it at all! Besides, she didn’t do it on purpose! Even if she sold

herself, she couldn’t afford it.”

Julian was speechless when hearing her words.

The more Josephine listened, the more she frowned. It didn’t sound like her grandson’s style.

She looked at Julian in confusion. “Julian, is that true?”

Julian glanced at Alexandra leisurely and replied to Josephine, “Grams, don’t listen to Alexandra’s nonsense. I didn’t ask her to compensate.”

“Julian, what did you say?” Alexandra blinked her big innocent eyes and asked him.

Julian felt that Alexandra was like a cunning kitten, constantly challenging his bottom line.

He added, “I didn’t ask her to compensate.”

Alexandra stared at him innocently. “She doesn’t have to pay for your suit, does she?”

She guided him patiently.

Julian played along and continued, “She doesn’t have to pay for my suit.”

Alexandra held back her laughter and silently clicked on her phone to turn off the recording.

Julian had long seen through her tricks.

He just didn’t want to call her bluff.

“It was just a joke. She could actually fall out with me for a few days,” he thought.  Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FindNʘᴠᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Alexandra took advantage of the situation and told Josephine, “Grams, you’re amazing. Julian always listens to you.”

Josephine was a little confused. She smiled and said to them, “Hurry up and eat your dinner!”

After dinner, they went upstairs.

Julian was tidying up his clothes..

Alexandra packed her bag and walked around him.

After he tied his tie and cuffs, Alexandra jumped in front of him. “Mr. Ranford, you said that I don’t have to pay for the suit. A promise is a promise! I’ve already recorded it.”

Julian looked at her tiny face full of hope and calculation, and his heart felt warm.

He wondered. “Why did she look so much like a glowing little sun?”

In just a few days, she managed to please Josephine, who initially disliked her the most.

Julian pursed his lips and did not answer her.

When Alexandra saw him turn around to get his suit jacket from the bed, she was one step ahead of him and took it for him.

She even made a gesture to help him put on his clothes like a little maid.

Julian was a little speechless at her behavior.

The corners of his lips curled up. He simply reached out and let her help him put on his jacket.

After helping him put on his suit jacket, Alexandra praised him sincerely, “Mr. Ranford, you are good–looking and have a good figure. You’re so handsome no matter what you wear!”

Julian had never seen someone like Alexandra who could flatter someone to this extent.

Her intentions were obvious.

Everyone else was scheming in private, but she was showing her scheme on her face..

The first time she met him, she told him directly that she was just a substitute bride.

However, hearing her praise his appearance and figure, Julian enjoyed it very much.

After all, who wouldn’t want to be praised for looking good?

Seeing that he was busy buttoning his shirt, Alexandra licked her lips and thought, “I have said so much, but did he hear me?”

“Alexandra.”

He turned around to call her.
