Carson recognized Lisa. After she barged into his office last time, both of them had not seen each other again.
Simon was speaking when Carson suddenly raised his hand to stop him.
Simon stopped talking, and suddenly there was total silence in the office again.
Everyone followed Carson’s gaze and looked in one direction.
Everyone saw Lisa who seemed to have seen something interesting on her phone. Her red lips were slightly raised, and she was smiling brightly. Her eyebrows were slightly raised too.

Shawn, a department manager beside Lisa nudged her with his elbow. She frowned and glanced at him, only to see him giving her a signal.

She thought, “This is really embarrassing!”
The left corner of Carson’s lips curled up. It seemed that he was waiting for a bigger commotion to happen. Then he said in a light voice. “Ms. Abbotwell, Simon mentioned the global stock market situation in the next three months. I want to know if you have any ideas.”
Lisa was caught red–handed using her phone during a meeting. Now she was called out by her boss. She was about to go crazy.
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Lisa gave Carson a bright smile and stood up with a light cough.
On the projector, there was an analysis of the annual performance report of more than a dozen countries, as well as the latest PEG valuation, and a chart of the global stock market in the second quarter.
Lisa glanced at the content on the projector and smiled charmingly. Then, she said confidently, “Obviously, in the past three months, due to the war crisis, the international oil and natural gas industries have suffered huge losses. As a result, the Dow Jones Index has plummeted by 27.5% in the past quarter, and domestic B–shares have also plummeted by 36.3% in the previous quarter. Therefore, I believe that there is about a 75% chance that the global stock market will recover in the next three months. The healthcare, new energy vehicles, and semiconductor industries that have been weak for the past two quarters have already shown a trend of rising last month. They will probably recover in the next quarter, but the probability of recovering their capital is not high. International military industry and gold, silver, and oil will still be at high valuations and will not fall before the end of the year.”
After Lisa finished speaking, she glanced at Carson arrogantly.
She thought to herself, “You want me to make a fool of myself? Dream on, Carson Walters!”
The department manager, Shawn Downey took the lead and applauded. When Carson called Lisa, who was distracted during the meeting, Shawn broke out in a cold sweat as he was Lisa’s immediate boss.
If Carson was offended, Shawn would also be in hot soup.
As soon as Shawn clapped, Lisa’s colleagues in the same department followed suit. It showed that the entire department was very united.

Before Lisa was about to leave after work, Shawn handed some documents to her and asked her to hand them to Simon.
Lisa was in a hurry to leave. She had not seen Alexandra for a long time. She was going to meet Alexandra at Tropical Lagoon Residences.
Lisa packed her things and ran to Simon’s office with her bag.
She kicked open the half–closed office door and shouted, “Simon! Shawn asked me to give this document to…”
Lisa did not finish her sentence.
Carson and another senior manager were sitting on the couch having tea. Simon was sitting at the side, feeling awkward. He was adjusting his glasses.
Carson and the senior manager looked at Lisa as though she was a fool.
Lisa stood steadily and walked over in small steps. She placed the document in front of Simon. “Mr. Hewitt, these are the documents from Mr. Downey. I’m leaving now, goodbye!”
With that, Lisa turned around and walked away quickly.
She had managed to escape from this extremely embarrassing situation.
After Lisa left.
Carson’s eyes drifted from the documents to Simon and asked, “She addressed you as Simon?”
Simon coughed awkwardly and faked a laugh. “Mr. Walters, Ms. Abbotwell was just joking.”
After Lisa clocked out, she took the elevator downstairs happily.
She bought some snacks from a pastry shop and took a taxi straight to Tropical Lagoon Residences.
Last night, when Lisa was chatting with Alexandra, she told Lisa that she was still at Tropical Lagoon Residences.
Therefore, Alexandra should be there today.
Lisa planned to give Alexandra a surprise.
Soon, Lisa reached Tropical Lagoon Residences.
Lisa pressed the doorbell with the snacks in her hand. Alexandra got up from the couch in the living room and went to open the door.
As soon as Alexandra opened the door, Lisa jumped into the house happily. “My dear angel! Do you miss me? I miss you so much!”
Just as Lisa was about to hug Alexandra, Alexandra reached her hand out to block her. She quickly gave Lisa a look, signaling her to leave quickly.
However, Lisa blinked happily, not understanding what she meant.
“Alexandra, who’s here?” Josephine, who was watching a short video on her phone in the living room, stuck her neck out and asked when she heard a woman talking.
Alexandra immediately replied, “No, no! It’s someone who has come to the wrong house!”
As she spoke, she quickly pushed Lisa out.
Only Julian and Alexandra knew that Lisa was hiding in Highclere City
If Josephine found out, she would definitely call Lisa’s parents to come to Highclere City to bring her home.
Before Lisa could figure out what was going on, she was pushed out by Alexandra.
“Alexandra, what are you doing?” Lisa clung to the door frame and refused to leave. She had specially come to see Alexandra!
Lisa was puzzled why Alexandra did not want to let her in.
She wondered, “Can it be that Alexandra is here with another man behind Julian’s back?
“Is she cheating on Julian?”
Lisa felt shocked.
