Chapter 59
Traizle
After what happened a while ago, I made sure to fetch Layzen at his school. Zarsuelo let me go home early for today. I also told Zac that he did not need to fetch him today.
"Traizle!" Layzen exclaimed while running to me. "You are not busy with your work for Matthew's company?" He asked excitedly.
I nodded. "How is your school today?" I asked.
"I learned so much today, Traizle. I know now how to add and subtract, my teacher told us that she would teach us multiplication and division if we did not make trouble." he answered happily. Multiplication and division are too advanced for kindergarten, isn't it? But Layzen is enjoying it, so I don't think I should worry about it.
When we got home, I quickly prepared our lunch. Lyndon is on the way too. His class just finished a few minutes ago. I hope he read my messages that I wanted him to go home early. It is time to tell them that our mother is here.
"Layzen, Traizle, I am home." We heard Lyndon said before entering.
"Change first, so that you can eat too." I told him.
I don't know where to start later. I don't want to scare them, but I also don't want them to get shock when the trouble came.
I must let them know. For them to be alert too. If our mother decided to meet me this morning, then she could decide to see Lyndon and Layzen.
After we eat, Lyndon volunteered to wash the dishes.
"Traizle, I saw Zac drawings on his webtoon. I saw us in his drawings and it was so cool." Layzen said.
"Really?" I asked back.
Well, I did not have the chance to read his work at all. I also don't know where to go for me to read it.
"It was awesome. I want to learn how to draw too. He told me he would teach me when he is not busy with his deadline next week. I am excited." Layzen shared, giggling at the thought of learning to draw. I should try to read it next time and praise his work.
"I am reading his webtoon," Lyndon shared. "He used us as his characters. Layzen is the baby brother of the protagonist. While we are one of the extras who used to help the protagonist." he added. "You should have told me where to read it." I told him.
He snickered at me. "It is not my fault if you are not that into technology." he mocked.
"Want me to confiscate your phone for a week?" I asked, smiling at him.
He grimaced. "I will send you the link and connect it with your Facebook, so that you will be able to read it." he explained.
If he hadn't mocked me at first and just explained it to me nicely, the confiscated power wouldn't have shown up at all.
After Lyndon washed the dishes, he sat in front of me. "Matthew called me a while ago on my way here," he shared. "Did something happen at work?" He asked.

"Is that why you fetched me? Did someone try to bully you in his company?" Layzen asked me.
I shake my head. "This is about our family issue, okay?" I started sharing the issues.
"Family issue?" Lyndon asked confused. "Do we have any family issues I don't know about?" He added.
"Is it because of Lyndon's all day and night playing with his phone?" Layzen commented seriously. "I told you to stop playing too much, Lyndon. Look at Traizle. She is starting to get stressed." he added, scolding his older brother. I pinched Layzen's cheek. "It is not about it," I told them. "It is about our mother." I added.
Lyndon's reaction turned unhappy. Layzen's did not change.
"She went to Grand Finance this morning. She was with her new husband," I added. "She caused a scene there and she wanted me to make Zarsuelo accept their proposal." "Did she do more than that?" Lyndon asked.
I nodded. "She just slapped me in front of the others." there's no need to lie.
"Is every mother supposed to do something bad for their children?" Layzen asked.
I shake my head and hold Layzen's hand. "We are just unfortunate to have a mother like her," I explained. "She was the one who asked to follow us with their men." I added. "Now that we are not that hard to take care of anymore, will she go and try to approach us?" Lyndon asked, irritated.

"I do not have the slightest feelings for her. I don't even want to go back to her side." Lyndon said.
"Traizle, don't let her get us from you. I don't want to go to her, I just want to stay with you." Layzen added.
"Of course, I won't let any of you go," I told them. "If she tried to approach you, don't go with her. Instead, be with your friends and Zac." I added.
After our talk, I let Layzen sleep. Lyndon was quiet all along. He is worried about the news he heard.
"Are you worried about it?" I asked.
He shakes his head. "It is more like I am scared. Just thinking of her makes me scared already. I don't have any plans to meet her in the next few days." he shared.
He is traumatized by what he experienced at the hands of our violent mother.
"Let's just be strong, okay? We need to be strong in order for Layzen to not be scared." I told him.
As much as I can, I don't want to show to him that we are scared. He would get scared if we showed him.
"Can we ask some help?" He asked.
All these years, this is the first time I saw him get scared. Normally, he would laugh it off, but now I can see that he is scared.
"I don't want anything bad to happen to both of you. I can't let you get into danger and lose you guys too." he shared.
I pulled Lyndon for a hug. "I won't let that happen. We will ask for help. She won't be able to do anything bad to us," I told him. "Let's just fight and think about how to survive altogether."
