The Odd Billionaire

Chapter 46

Traizle

"Can we bring my toys?" Layzen asked, choosing busily in front of his toys.

"Just bring some, Layzen." I told him, while I was stuffing our bag with some shirts. Although I was happy seeing Zarsuelo smile a while ago, I am now facing the truth.

I am nervous, very very nervous, enough for my hands to tremble while packing our bag.

I just hope that no one is watching him. I don't want to ruin his reputation or our privacy.

Sleeping in a billionaire's house isn't a small thing.

"Promise me, guys, that you won't cause any trouble." I reminded them.

"Don't worry, Traizle. We will just play." Layzen answered immediately.

"And you?" I asked Lyndon, receiving a nod from him. "Make sure not to tell this with your friends or else I will confiscate your phone for a week every night." I issued a warning. "Rest assured. No words will come out of my mouth." he replied.

After half an hour, we heard the beep of a car honking and received a message.

'I am outside already, you guys can come out now'

Zarsuelo's message.

"He is outside. Layzen, choose two of your toys and get out now." I said, Layzen is still not done with his toys.

At last, he picked them by using his eenie meenie song before going outside.

Lyndon and I checked the house to see if there were any plugged in electronic devices or if the gas stove was still open before turning the lights off.

When we came out, a simple car was parked in front of our house.

"I guess this is his plan." Lyndon muttered beside me.

"I guess too." I added before we opened the car door.

"Hi, sit beside me," Zarsuelo said as soon as he saw me. "Lyndon, sit at the back with Layzen." he added.

We followed him quietly and started our journey.

"I asked the housekeeper to buy me some groceries, cook for us tonight, okay?" Zarsuelo said.

"What do you want me to cook for our dinner?" I asked him.

Instead of answering, excitement coursed through his face.

"Why are you smiling? Did I say something funny?" I asked again.

Why is this oddball smiling? I don't think I have said any funny words or stories.

"Nothing," he answered. "When you said the word 'our' for our dinner, I felt like we were a happy family." he added, laughing to himself.

I heard some snickering behind me as well.

"Continue that and we will get out of this car, right here, right now." I warned them.

Zarsuelo's face turned to a serious one. The snickering behind me didn't continue as well.

They must be excited for this sleep over. These kids took my warning seriously. Such a wonderful sight of them getting serious.

We entered a big gate, as if we were entering a palace. His house is still far from the gate. If you are going to walk, you will take a few minutes to reach his house. "Woah! Is this really a house?" I heard Layzen asking.

"Idiot, only billionaire people can have this." Lyndon answered Layzen.

"You should study hard and be a millionaire, Lyndon. Let's buy a house like Matthew's." Layzen retorted.

"We will die first before getting a house like this." Lyndon replied.

"I can buy you a house like this, should I build a house beside mine? So that we can be neighbors in the future?" Zarsuelo joins the conversation.

"No way, Traizle will get mad if we ask you to buy a house for us." Layzen replied.

"She will, definitely. I will help you guys buy one like this. Let's study and work harder in the future." Zarsuelo even cheered.

"You heard it Lyndon, didn't you?" Layzen told his older brother.

"I heard it." Lyndon replied.

We stopped in front of his house.

"I don't think they will catch us staying here." Lyndon said beside me.

Looking at his big house, it's for a 10 family type of house. Why is he living in a big house alone? He must be so lonely.

"Welcome to my house." Zarsuelo greeted.

We entered his quiet house.

His house is simple but elegant, with a black and white themed style. He has a big chandelier in the middle.

"Matthew's house smells so good." Layzen complimented.

"Really? I made that scent only for my house," he boasted. "I don't want to disappoint you guys, so I asked the housekeeper to clean my house." he added. "Where is your kitchen? I will cook for dinner." I asked, changing the 'our' into 'the'.

"There," Zarsuelo said, as he guided me to his kitchen. "All ingredients are inside of the refrigerator. Tell me if you need something. We will just play." he added. "Okay." I answered and started to open his big refrigerator.

"Do you want me to help you?" He asked.

"No, I am fine. You can now go and play with them. I will just call you if I need something." I answered.

"Okay, be careful about using the knife, wife." he replied, rushing out to his kitchen, avoid getting a smack from me.

Wife his ass.

"That oddball surely bought everything." I muttered.

His fridge is full of ingredients. He also has fruits inside.

I cooked rice and decided to cook chicken curry, one of my brothers favorite dishes.

While waiting for the dish to be cooked, I decided to go out and see what they were doing.

"And where are they?" I muttered.

They are not in the place I saw them a few minutes ago. Zarsuelo did tell me that they would play, so where the hell are they going to play?

Since I couldn't see anything and didn't know where they were, I headed back inside the kitchen to wait for it.

When the dish was ready, I prepared everything in his living room.

"Now, they are the only ones needed here." I said and picked up my phone to call Zarsuelo.

"Why, wife?" He asked after two rings.

"Living room, bring the two with you. We will eat." I answered him and ended the call after that.

Wife his ass!

I saw Layzen running down to the living room.

"Traizle! I want to live here. Matthew has tons of toys in his room." Layzen said excitedly.

"You can live here with him, but Lyndon and I will live in our house." I answered.

"I think I can just visit here." he replied, and sat down in front of the food.

"I will play a movie while we are eating." Zarsuelo said.

Lyndon and I sat beside Layzen. After Zarsuelo played a movie on his big flat screen, he sat beside Lyndon.

"It was my first time to eat in my living room." he shared.

"Your house is big, it is impossible to eat here if you have your own dining room." Lyndon replied.

"It is," he responded. "I didn't know eating in the living room with you guys was this cool already. I hope we can do this again next time." he added, eyeing me. "Eat now." I interrupted them.

Eating alone in this big house must be too lonely for him. Just imagining him living alone in his house makes me sad already.

How did he manage to live here alone?

After we ate, we brushed our teeth together, only Layzen and I, and changed our clothes. I let them play inside Zarsuelo's toy room.

We can call it a toy room because it is a room full of toys. He also has figures and posters on his wall. He is indeed a kid by heart.

I am now watching the movie alone. His place is too lonely to live alone. If I stay here alone, I will be crazy after a few years. "My wife is thinking deeply again." Zarsuelo said and sat beside me.

When will he stop calling me his wife.

"Where are they?" I asked.

"Still playing," he answered. "The dish was too yummy. I will be asking my housekeeper to cook one for me next time." he added.

"How can you live in this big house when you are living alone?" I asked.

"Then live with me, so that I won't have to live here alone." he retorted. "No way." I told him.

"I bought this house when I was twenty years old. My grandparents have their own house, so literally I have been living alone since then." he shared. "Then ask your other relatives to live here. This house of yours can still accommodate more than ten families." I told him.

"No way too," he answered, disliking the idea. "I bought this for my future family. You are still not liking me back, so I have to wait again." he added. "How are you sure that I will like you back?" I asked him.

He smiled sweetly at me. His rare smile. "As long as you don't have someone in your heart, I can wait patiently." he replied. "How are you sure that I am the one for you?" I asked him again.

"Secret," he answered. "Telling you the reason isn't fun this way, but I have been finding the right time to tell you." he added.

So, he is not really joking about his feelings for me?

That I won't suffer if I try to give him a chance?

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused by his answer.

He pats my head. "I like you-no, I love you already. No joke included, I have been liking you since the first time we met." he shared, as he continued to watch the movie.

"I thought I was simply having a crush on you, but it is just my thoughts. Now you know some of my confessions. Please take my feelings seriously." He said.

This oddball surely knows how to get serious. Why can't he do it every day?

"Traizle, I am sleepy now. Where should we sleep?" Layzen asked as he wiped his eyes.

"Where are we going to sleep?" I asked Zarsuelo.

"In my room," he answered. "I wanted to try the real sleep over. My room is big, there's enough space for us." he added, switching the TV off.

"Traizle, I promised not to tell my friends about us staying here. But Matthew told my friends, what are you going to do with him?" Lyndon shared.

I glared at Zarsuelo, who was now keeping a distance from me.

"I want to brag about our sleep over to my friends. I only told Aiden and his friends this! I promise!" He defended himself.

"Where is your room?" I asked him.

He quickly got his feet into his room. His room is the same as our house. Just how big is his house?

"I also asked them to fix my room for tonight." Zarsuelo said.

Layzen ran to the bed.

"Traizle, lay beside me." Layzen said.

I lay beside him. Lyndon lay beside Layzen too. Zarsuelo was about to lay beside me when I glared at him.

"I thought I was able to lie beside you." he pouted.

"Over there." I said, pointing to the side of Lyndon.

He followed while throwing a tantrum.

A while ago, before Layzen and Lyndon came, I was about to tell him that I would give him a chance to prove himself to me.

I almost said that, even though I am not sure about myself. How crazy I was a while ago.

I want to make sure I won't suffer again. I want to make sure that I don't have to feel what I have experienced before.

"I love you, Traizle." Layzen said, and embraced me.

"I love you too, Layzen." I replied.

"Me too, I love you too!" Zarsuelo said.

"Sleep, oddball." I answered.

I can't move.

I opened my eyes and saw an arm around my waist. It's definitely not Lyndon because he is on the other side.

"Zarsuelo, what are you doing here?" I growled quietly and tried to face him.

"Morning, wife," he greeted. "How I wish I could always wake up like this." he added.

"Get off of me." I warned him.

Instead of removing his arms around my waist, he embraced me more tightly.

"Please, let's stay like this for a while. Tomorrow, there will be nothing like this. I will wake up without you guys," he answered. "Oh, you are blushing!" He added. "Get off me, Zarsuelo!" I yelled and pushed him.

There is no way I will like this oddball.

NO WAY!
