Chapter Rebirth To 190
Chapter 190 Do You Need Me to Tell You About the Bidding Project?
After arriving at the back garden, Samantha settled into a swing chair, pulled out her phone, and started playing with it. Garrison sat not far from her, quietly watching her. As Samantha gently rocked the swing, she began texting Finley.
'Have you eaten?'
Finley replied, 'Just finished.'
"I just finished, too, Samantha texted back. 'I'm texting you from the garden at Saint Night Academy. Do you miss me?'
Finley hesitated this time before replying. 'Yes.'
Samantha grinned and wrote, 'I miss you too! I want to see you right away, Finley. There's no one around here right now. How about a video call?'
Finley hesitated again. "No."
'You just said you missed me but won't video chat. Finley, do you really miss me or not?'
'I do.'
'You're lying!'
'I'm not.'
Samantha couldn't shake off the feeling that Finley had been acting strangely since last night, and his attitude toward her was off. What's gotten into Finley? I was only home a little later than usual last night-was that enough to upset him? While she was lost in thought, Finley sent over another message. 'My company has a project that's going up for bid soon, so I'll be very busy. I won't be able to pick you up for a while. Can you manage to get home on your own?' 'Sure,' she replied.
Finley stared at the simple reply and came to realize that he couldn't figure out Samantha
anymore.

Not expecting such a question from Finley, Samantha considered for a moment before replying, 'I'm not very familiar with your bidding project, so I'm not sure what kind of partner you need.'
'Do you need me to tell you about the bidding project?' Finley threw another bait. However, Samantha continued to refuse. 'Nope.'
Before a bidding project began, the details usually weren't shared to prevent any issues. Even though she wasn't exactly an outsider, Samantha thought it best not to ask to avoid putting Finley in a difficult position.
When Finley saw her response, his confusion deepened. He had given her a clear opportunity to learn about his project, yet she didn't ask. She had promised Noah last evening that she would help him. So why wasn't she doing anything? Finley found himself increasingly unable to understand Samantha. Just what is she thinking?
With that, he tried again. 'Are you sure you don't want to know about my bidding project?'
Samantha looked at the message and replied with a question of her own, 'Why would I need to know about your bidding project?"
Finley was stumped for a moment. 'Never mind, just focus on your classes.
After sending the message, Finley didn't reply anymore. Samantha stared at her phone, feeling that Finley was acting really strangely that day.
Just then, a group of female students approached Samantha from a distance, and one of them nudged her shoulder, saying, "I finally caught you alone, you wretched b*tch!"
