Chapter 77
EPILOGUE
GENESIS 2:15 - The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16. And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17. but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” And Nick had not [eaten] from that tree of knowledge. Nor did Clarence, nor did Ezrom, nor did Cherise, nor did Ichabin, nor did Zinida, Yuri, Hughess and many others throughout history since that warning.
Mathematically, Nick’s prediction of the effects of the combined wavelengths was accurate, but the spiritual calculation resulted in him living a long fruitful life. So finally, under the cover of darkness, he arose from a deep slumber. He stood, and noticed the fullness of the moon and he stayed still listening to the silence of its darkness, the tranquility of its vast craters. He heard the rays of the sun in its distance and the comforting vibrations of the leaves and trees as they stood in abundance of each other. The rodents and the animals, even the ones that were carnivorous, gave him his space as if he was one with them all. He felt older as he rubbed the hairs on his face and the locks on his head. He smirked, wondering how long it’d been. His clothes were tattered, he noticed, and hanging off his shoeless skinnier frame.
And years after that awakening he stood again and listened to the stars and the rotation of the Earth and realized that there was a disruption. The natural was teetering on defeat as the shrieks of the ills were strengthening. Old and withered, he began remembering his youth and the turmoil of those years and how brazen and brass the mischievous had become.
Although he would never meet that kindred soul he searched for who possessed his like abilities, he was able to secure happiness in the world he had created. And once that final sound center was used, murders did cease for a time, but eventually, the calm settled and the storms began to reappear. And his wisdom prevailed in teaching him that this was the pattern of the world, of life, of Earth. For every dawn, darkness will soon settle, and he accepted that. But he didn’t just sit idly by as the world reverted back to wickedness.
He took up construction and built homes for people. Modest homes, a couple of bedrooms, a couple of baths usually set on half an acre. “That’s all folks need,” he’d repeat as he ventured into his senior years. Knowing that a house should be a home, a refuge and a place of solace from the stresses that are unavoidable on the outside, he figured he’d construct them with a soundproof element that could reset their souls daily and give them peace. But yes, the elements of man-made noises seeped into the environment and made it more difficult for folks to stay on track.
Near his life’s end, Nick’s talents had slipped into obscurity and the new world population didn’t know of the boy wonder and his gift of hearing and it was he that changed the world. But his neighbors knew him well, not from his past but as the old kind gentleman that opened his home for everyone and especially anyone who’s soul was troubled. Now well into his centenarian years, he knew his last breath was nearer than ever, so he took up his instrument and headed to the woods.
He played a few notes, inviting the birds, the squirrels, the insects, deer, raccoons, snakes and others. All in peace, an animalistic concert took place as he soothed their existence with his melodic presence. He may have played for days, he didn’t know, he felt hungry and didn’t care. And it was deep there in the woods where his last breath was his last note and his body ultimately returned to Earth, ashes to ashes dust to dust.
For energy itself has knowledge, it seeks its likeness whether good or evil and since matter can only occupy the space in which it dwells, its intelligence waits, timeless, gathering the experiences of its enduring existence until a new soul plays host to its substance. And now more vibrant, its vigor is excelled as its renewed presence is restored.
