Chapter 390
Savannah was at a loss for words.
Back when Hayden wanted to pursue Natalie to take responsibility for her actions, she was the one who knelt in front of him to
ask him to call off the investigation.
She remembered her words and promised that was the last time she would ask Hayden to let go of Natalie and make it work for
her and Archer.
She wanted to marry Archer, and if he didn't agree, she would die!
He finally agreed to her request, but he told her to never beg him for another favor in the futuré.
More than twenty years had passed, and she had long forgotten how she had knelt in front of Hayden and sworn with tears. She
thought that he would also forget about it, but he had remembered everything very clearly.
Hayden had a love-hate relationship with his only daughter. He didn't want to interfere in Savannah's affairs at all, but she was
still his daughter, so he reminded her of it.
"You should know what you did, right? Let me tell you, the Saunders family is not the Dawson family. Don't force yourself into a
dead-end. By the way, your father-in-law is in B City today. You'd better take care of yourself!"
At noon, Abbie dragged Paige out to have lunch. She knew that Paige was in a bad mood, so she had been comforting her all
the way.
She ordered western cuisine today. Even though Paige didn't have a good appetite, she kept putting food on her plate. Paige
knew that Abbie cared about her, so she ate all the food on her plate in order not to let her worry.
After eating, she felt much better. Abbie held Paige's hand and went back to the car outside. "You don't look very energetic, so
don't go back to work. Let's relax."
Paige nodded, and Abbie took her to have water therapy. During the therapy, Paige fell asleep, and Abbie signaled the staff to
leave.
She sat quietly on the sofa next to her, scrolling through her cell phone while waiting for her to wake up.
She unexpectedly saw the news that the popular actress, Azalea Cook, attended the head of the Davis family's birthday party
and took a picture with his sons.
Abbie's eyes fell on Azalea who was wearing a high-fashion dress, a limited edition bag, and a huge diamond ring on her ring
finger.
Most importantly, her hand was tightly wrapped around Michael's arm and the both of them were beaming.
Looking at Azalea and Michael who stood so close to each other, Abbie felt the anger bubbling inside of her.
She was extremely angry to the point of committing murder. She took multiple deep breaths to calm herself, but she still couldn't
control the anger surging within her.
She got up and walked to the corridor to call Michael. The phone rang for a long time before it was picked up. "Hello?"
"Michael, you f*cking bully!" Abbie's voice trembled with anger.
He lowered his voice and said, "Abbie, listen to my explanation!"
"You don't need to explain. I'll give you one option. Get Azalea to leave right now! Can you do that?"
"I'm afraid I can't!"
"Alright, I understand! Just know that you're a bully." She hung up the phone and leaned against the wall while breathing heavily.
He called her again, but she hung up. Since she didn't pick up, he sent her a WhatsApp message. "I will come back in the
evening to explain it to you!"
She deleted his WhatsApp and blocked his phone number. She felt very uncomfortable, but she couldn't do anything about it.
She was actually unsure what she was to Michael.
His fiancee was her sister!
She didn't understand why he wanted to provoke her. After he forcefully kissed her in the private room, he found an excuse to
meet up with her and tell her weird things.
Just last night, he came up with an excuse that he was drunk and stayed in her apartment, and he said a lot of things to her.
He mentioned that he liked and loved her, and he would treat her well for the rest of his life.
It was ridiculous. She never believed in love, but she foolishly fell for his tricks.
Fortunately, she didn't promise him anything last night. She had always been on her guard against him.
However, he managed to kiss and touch her even though she was cautious.
Only a few hours had passed, and he began to show off his love for another woman in public. Whatever he said to her last night
was trash!
She wanted to slap herself so bad!
Paige woke up and saw Abbie sitting on the sofa in a daze. She turned over and sat up.
"Why didn't you wake me up?"
"I'm okay with it, and it's rare to see you sleep so soundly, so I wanted to let you sleep a little longer."
The smile on her face was very forced. They had been friends for many years, so Paige knew that something was up with her.
"Did something happen to you?"
"Nothing happened, Paige. I think I'm moody because my period is coming soon!" She lied and handed Paige her cell phone.
"Joseph called you just now, but I muted him. You should call him back."
"Okay!" Although Paige felt that Abbie was acting strangely, it was normal for women to be annoyed when their period was about
to arrive. Therefore, she didn't think much about it and called Joseph.
"Were you looking for me?"
He replied with a smile on his face, "Nothing serious. I just missed you and wanted to know what you were up to."
"Abbie and I had a meal just now, and then we went to have water therapy, and I fell asleep.." She answered with some
embarrassment.
"Well, it's probably because you're too tired lately. Go and relax with Abbie! You don't have to worry about anything else. I will
help you solve all your problems."
"Okay!" Paige was happy. Without Joseph, she might not be able to do anything. It was a good feeling to have someone love
and care for you.
She suddenly remembered the day he asked her to make the marriage official, and she could not help but blurt out, "Joseph,
let's go get our marriage certificate tomorrow!"
He was also shocked by what she said. "Are you ready? You're not hesitating anymore?"
"I've thought it through. I've decided to be with you for the rest of my life!"
He always felt that she didn't mean it. Who knew if she would really give up after getting the marriage certificate. "You're not
going to put me through a trial period?"
"There's no need for that. I've thought it through! Joseph, I want to marry you. I want to give birth to a bunch of beautiful children
with you!" Her face couldn't help but turn red.
His joyful laughter came from the other end of the phone. "Okay, let's go back and research trying for babies! You're not allowed
to beg for mercy!"
Abbie was listening to their conversation, and her eyes opened wide. "Are you really going to get your marriage certificate?"
"Yes. I'm going to get it with him tomorrow!"
"What about the wedding? When will it be held? Let's make it clear first, okay? I'm going to be your bridesmaid!" Abbie stood up
excitedly. Paige's news made her forget about her bad thoughts. "Also, I'm not going to be your bridesmaid for nothing. I want a
handbag. Specifically, the new one from Hermes!"
"You handbag fanatic!" She speechlessly stared at Abbie. "Fine! After all, it's my wedding. I'm going to kill you if you don't
become my bridesmaid!"
