The murder card

Chapter 10

Dear diary, the first day of the EasyTell service has ended. I just have to get through one more day and then it will be my turn, to document those Murder card descriptions. According to Diane a coworker of mine, this might be more difficult, than I expected. She was the first on EasyTell duty, so us and a couple more people went out for drinks after work, so she could tell us what to expect. She seemed shaken up about the whole the thing and used alcohol to numb her pain. She started telling us about her first client, a man named Michael. He was thirty-five, divorced, father of three and buyer of the Deluxe card. His victim was his former mother in law. Since he couldn’t kill his former wife, her mother was the next best thing and a perfect revenge. She filled a complaint but it was quickly denied. He is a dentist by profession, so he used his medical knowledge during the murder. He started by pulling out all of her teeth, without any anesthesia. He saved her wisdom teeth for last. In order to get to them, he broke her jaw and slowly pulled them out. He then applied the same principle on pulling out her fingernails. When that was slowly done, he moved on to her toenails. This was hard work on him, so he took a break, drank some water, had a light and quick snack to get more strength. He then took a nail polish remover, his wife forgot at now his house. He poured it on her open wounds, making her scream in agony, but that was soon stopped when he poured the nail polish remover in her mouth. But the torture didn’t stop there. Just for this occasion, Michael bought pure alcohol. He forced two liters of it down her throat. It wasn’t enough to kill her, but it was well enough to cause her severe pain, such pain she could not scream anymore. Her eyes were the only things able to speak, letting him known, in just how much pain she was in. But he didn’t stop, he didn’t show any mercy. He was driven by the pain the divorce left him and that was the only thing he could see. His pain brought a friend, rage, which made him beat her up. She died on het tenth hour. When Michael finished his story, he showed no signs of regret, no emotions at all. He just told his story like from his life, as if completely ordinary. They finished in time and she moved on to the next customer. Soon it was obvious, the promotion was a success as the line of people, waiting to tell their story was long, so now everyone has to make an appointment before coming in. When Diane told us the story, she was quite shaken up, more so than Michael. She was one of those people, not capable of murder. She wasn’t against the Murder cards, she just never wanted to use them and was terrified that someday, someone might use it on her. But who would anyway, she’s the nicest and sweetest person I know. Just not tonight. Tonight she wasn’t herself. Those descriptions took a toll on her and I think, they might have changed her.iptions tookut who would anyway, she`s the nicest and sweeteers eve
