The Missing Princess

Reign

I had just sat down at the table when Kodi walked in with Mauku and Kekipi. They were laughing and it was obvious that they had just came from the beach. She was in a pair of cut off shorts with the strings of her bikini peeking out above the band of her shorts. The tank top she had on did nothing to cover her bikini top which was clearly showing through being the same colour as her hair. I had to swallow the growl that was threatening to escape. The three of them stopped when Ino and Nay walked out and asked them what they were doing. My eyes were still locked on my little copper flame.

“We were coming for breakfast. Surfing works up quite the appetite.” Mauku replied.

“Yea, good morning.” Kodi chirps.

She says as she walked over and kissed my cheek. I am sure she could tell that I was not thrilled with this, but I remembered her telling me yesterday that she wouldn’t give up surfing. I don’t want her to give up something she loves, but I am not sure how I am going to handle her walking around like this. Dad walked in at that moment and I could see that he was trying not to laugh. The others started to filter in for breakfast.

“Your mad aren’t you?” Kodi asked.

“I am not mad, but I will admit this is not easy for me.” I admit.

“I tried to tell you yesterday.” She points out.

“I know.” I huff.

“Listen, I know you don’t like the other guys looking at me, but you have to remember that all of those guys have watched me grow up. They know I have no interest in them that way. They are all like older brothers to me, which at times is annoying as fuck. I need to take this thing between us slow, but I know until you mark me that you are going to be a jealous asshole. Remember this, I might hang out, talk to and be friends with other guys, but you are the one that I am coming back to each night and will eventually share a bed with.” She added.

I sat there or a bit thinking about what she said. She left me there as she went to shower. She is right, but being a wolf and an alpha at that makes me want to hide her away from all other men.

“Kodi is right. You have a very independent future Luna who has taken care and protected herself for most of her life, especially the last 8 years. If she really wanted to she is more than capable of wiping our pack from existence.” Dad points out.

“I know, but it is hard to remember that when she walks in to the pack house in a bikini.” I grumble.

Dad laughs as he walks out. I know for a fact that if mom had walked around like this he would have gone all caveman and lost his shit. I push my chair back as I stand up leaving the room. I could hear her moving around in the room across from mine as I opened my door. I heard her swear which made me smile. I shut my door walking towards my bathroom. I looked around my room wishing she was in here with me.

I leave the bathroom open a crack as I strip and step into the shower. I let the hot water soak into my body. The last few days have been stressful. Between Dani and Ellie getting kidnapped, and then finding Kodi in that fucking place shit has been tense. I let everything run through my head and that is when I realised that Rory and Vance have been acting strange. They haven’t been as laid back as they normally are. Now saying that they did learn that their parents hid the fact that they had a little sister this whole time and not a little brother and then finding said little sister where we did could stress anyone out. I don’t think that is all of it. Dani had also been acting weird. She is usually a lot more talkative and outgoing than she has been. A loud squeak reverberates within my room as I step out of the bathroom with just a towel wrapped around my waist. I look up to see Kodi standing there in a pair of cut off khaki shorts and a strapless black shirt with what looks like blue and gold paint splashed across it.

“Is something wrong my little copper flame?” I asked.

“No, I knocked but you didn’t answer. I cracked the door open and called out but you didn’t answer. I was going to leave a message, but you walked out of the bathroom.” She says.

She still has her eyes closed as I touch her face. She sucks in a breath as her eyes open. Damn they really do look like a moving flame. I can’t help but smirk as she tries to keep her eyes on my face and not look anywhere else.

“You can look all you want. All of this belongs to you my little copper flame.” I growl.

“Why do you call me that?” She asked.

“Your gorgeous long hair is the color of copper and your eyes remind me of a burning flame with all reds, whites, coppers, yellows, and oranges within them.” I explained.

I watch as her cheeks start to turn pink as I tell her this. I drop my hand and take a step back which is opposite of what I want to do. I walk into my closet to find something to wear. I lean back to see what she is up to and I see her looking around my, hopefully soon to be our, room. I grab a pair of shorts and a t-shirt pulling them on quickly. Kodi has made a home in one of the chairs in front of the window as she scrolls through her phone.

“I was thinking that I could give you a tour of our pack.” I mention.

“I would like that.” Kodi replied.

“If it is okay with you, I would also like to announce that we are mates. I know it seems soon, but I know they will be excited to know that I finally found you.” I explained her.

“Um, are you sure they will accept me? I mean I am not a wolf.” She whispers.

“Kodi, believe me they will more than accept you. You have nothing to worry about. There won’t be any crazy ex’s or jealous rank chasers as we call them. This pack is very different from many on the main land. I know you are probably used to packs being purests something like that, but you will find that way of thinking is quickly dieing out.” I told her.

I can tell she is still unsure, but she follows me down the stairs and out the front door anyways. We find Ino waiting there with Ellie. I am surprised Dani is not there, but Ino said she had something to do. Now I am positive something is up. I smile when I feel her grab my arm as we start walking towards the centre of the pack. I can feel her anxiety as we headed towards the centre of the pack.

Kodi

I can’t help but grab his arm as we walk. While I want to see the pack and meet people I am still slightly terrified and my anxiety is ramping up. I have kept to myself and tried my hardest to go unnoticed by society. Now I feel as if I am exposing myself, and it terrifies me to the core. He pulls his arm from my hand, which worries me until he slides his hand into mine giving it a squeeze to try and calm my nerves. Ino and Ellie are with us, and we are soon joined by Kekipi. Mauku had to head into town for some sort of meeting.

“You have noting to worry about.” He whispers.

I nod, because I can’t find the appropriate words. We pass people as we walk and most wave. I do see many of them look at me, but not in a suspicious way. They seem curious about me. We stop and talk to several people and a few even knew my parents. They were both shocked and genuinely surprised to know that they had a daughter. Many even hugged me, which I was not prepared for.

“Don’t fucking laugh at me. I wasn’t expecting any one to know my parents, and I sure as fuck wasn’t expecting anyone to hug me.” I hiss at him.

“I am sorry my little copper flame. I did tell you that everyone would be welcoming of you.” Reign points out.

“Good morning Alpha, Beta, Ellie and friend.” Says a woman.

She is drop dead gorgeous. She introduces herself as Myra. I can feel her magic which means she is a witch. I feel very inadequate standing here with her. She has to be at least six inches taller than me with hair the color of the night which reaches her ass and green eyes so pale that they almost look clear. I can’t help but fidget in her presence. I can tell she is a very powerful witch.

“No need to be uncomfortable around me sweetie. I knew your father, and I was upset to hear what happened to him and your mother.” Myra told me.

“I must be going. I have some business to attend to. Do tell your brothers that if they happen to stop by my store that if they think they can sneak treats from me they will severely regret it.” Myra comments.

I giggle at her words. I haven’t known them long, but I can tell that Rory and Vance could cause unimaginable amounts of trouble. I continue to be surprised as Reign continues showing me around the pack. He made his announcement of us being mates once we returned to the pack house. The whole pack erupted in excitement. Everyone cheered and numerous pack members howled in happiness.

“I wasn’t expecting to find so many none wolves within the pack.” I admit.

“I had a feeling that was the case. Reign wanted to show you that our pack is different than others.” Uncle Aaron says.

“I haven’t been on the main land in a while but the few times I did go there the packs I came across weren’t excepting of other species and more or less hated humans. I tended to stay clear of them, but they also seemed to be the ones that were obsessed with power and would buy or kidnap others that had power.” I told them.

“Yes, please explain how you even got caught up in that shit little sister.” Vance demands.

I shoot him a scathing look but explain how I ended up helping others that were trying to stop the trafficking of others, mostly women. I could tell they weren’t happy when I told them that I would more or less spy on the ones setting up or running the rings, but they kept their mouths shut.

“I used my magic to disguise me and I was never the same person twice. Then I would hand over all the information I gathered. I made sure to keep who I was anonymous so no one would know who it was helping them crack the rings. I am proud to say that I have helped take down more than a dozen rings. I just wish I could find and bring down the head asshole. I will never say that I am sorry I started helping. I know it is dangerous, but after witnessing that I felt I needed to do something.” I explained.

“Understandable, but please try to be careful. I would hope you wouldn’t continue to do this, but since our pack is one of them that helps with shit like this I am not going to tell you to stop, but please let us help you.” Uncle Aaron comments.

“Okay, that is doable.” I replied.

“Now, what the fuck is up with the two of you? I may have not known you long, but the two of you are acting fucking strange.” I demand.

“Yes, the two of you have been acting weird. Spill it now.” Reign added.

“Fine, we found our mate. As everyone is aware multiples always share a mate.” Rory admits.

“Okay, so what is the big fucking deal?” I asked.

“Oh shit, I think I know who it is, considering she has been acting just as weird as the two of you.” I state.

Dani walks in right then and when she sees the twins she stops dead in her tracks. I shouldn’t be surprised. Before Dani can turn and run Reign tells her to sit down. Rory and Vance stare at her like she is the most precious being they have ever seen. Uncle Aaron asked Dani if the twins are her mates and she admits they are.

“Why not annoucne it before?” I asked.

“When they walked in that day demanding Dad tell them what the fuck is going on waving that damn letter it was like they didn’t know I was there. I didn’t want to say anything since I figured mine was a one-sided bond. They never did approach me so I made the decision to act as if nothing was happening.” Dani explains.

I turn my eyes to my brothers whose eyes are fixed on Dani. I squint my eyes at them as the both jump in their chairs.

“That was fucking uncalled for.” Rory hisses.

"Well someone needed to do something to make the two of you get your asses in gear and make you two get your shit together." I sneered.

“Dani was are sorry we made you feel as if our bond was not there. When Laymina who used to be our nanny handed us that letter we were confused. When we read it we were still confused, but also pissed. I guess our emotions were so our of wack that we didn’t even realize our mate was sitting in the same room as us.” Rory explained.

“We caught your scent the following day, but the next time we saw you and you didn’t react to us we figured that you knew our mate and that her scent had rubbed off on you.” Vance added.

I swear men are fucking morons. I glance at Reign and roll my eyes when I see that stupid smirk on his handsome fucking face. I decide to leave the room knowing that Dani and my dipshit brothers need to talk. I am sure Uncle Aaron would like to discuss things with them as well. Damn, that means Dani is going to be queen of their kingdom. Not sure when my life turned into a fucking soap opera, but clearly it has.
