The Missing Princess

Five Years Later

“You two planned this didn’t you?” Estella asked.

“In a way yes and in a way no.” I admitted.

“Lorena showing back up was a slight curve ball, but our girl handled it perfectly. I should have let the damn council kill Lorena back then.” Randy commented.

“We had no idea she was going to pull this shit. I should have looked into her more than I did. I didn’t put two and two together about her and fucking Dobrita. I knew one of Lorena’s cousins had been killed but I never asked her name. I should have. I also knew something was wrong with Zenos, but I never said anything to mom or dad, and I should have.” Estella replied.

I pulled my sweet wife into my arms. Were we dead? Yes, in lesser terms, but in some ways no. Estella and I knew the minute Kodi was born that shit was going to go sideways. We knew from the first ultrasound that our third child was going to be extraordinarily powerful. We just didn’t know how powerful since the little brat wouldn’t let us see that she was a girl until she was born. She is also the reason that Estella couldn’t have any more kids after her. We were fine with that and when everything happened there were no more kids in our future. Estella and I have been watching over the kids since that night. Amelia, Aaron’s mate, is here with us. She is so happy and so damn proud of her kids. I had a feeling that Dani was Rory and Vance’s mate. She would always follow them around when they came around. I was beyond pissed when they went after Randy and my baby girl. Thankfully Kodi was able to escape even if it cost Randy his life.

“You were stupid that night.” I pointed out.

“It wasn’t my intention to injure myself that badly. I realised I fucked up when I made it to the pack. That is why I willed my powers to Kodi which I had planned to do if it ever came to that. I think it worked out in the end.” Randy grumbled.

I rolled my eyes as I turned my attention back to my kids. They were currently having a huge party for Aaron’s birthday. Haikili was now eight years old and a handful for his parents. Little Amelia and Travis were six and all over the place. Amelia was definitely Kodi’s mini-me. I think it drives Reign crazy. Travis is laid back and a tad on the mischievous side of life. Their youngest, who just turned four a few months ago is a sweet little girl named Randi Erin. Randy cried when he heard what they named her. She has her grandmothers pale golden blonde hair. Her eyes are a blueish silver which stand out against her dark olive skin tone. Little Randi got the native Hawaiian complexion. All four kids have Reign’s curly hair. Little Randi was their last one. Kodi was adamant about that. I laugh as Zhamaxin is assaulted by all his great grand kids. I do wish that Estella and I could be there in the physical sense to hold them but we watch over them all the time so there is that. Do we regret what happened? Yes, to an extent.

I regret that we weren’t able to stop Zenos and Dobrita so we could have been there right now with them, but this is how everything was meant to go. Our boys have their family too. Their two girls are going to drive them crazy when they hit their teen years. The boys are going to come crawling out of the wood work in order to gain their attention. Aaron was right. Their last one ended up being twin boys. Rory and Vance were so fucking relieved that they were both boys. I knew they loved their girls, but I also knew they wanted a boy.

“I am so glad that all the kids are close in age. I love the idea of them all growing up together.” Estella said.

“I know honey. I am do as well.” I told her.

“Do you think they know we watch over them?” Estella asked.

“I don’t think they do. Kodi might be able to sense us but that would be it. Our sons might be able to feel us to, but I don’t think they would realise what they are feeling.” I replied.

I love my boys, but they can be a little clueless at times. Those two are ridiculous. Dani has all my respect for dealing with those two. She does handle them very well. They have seemed to tone it down since the kids were born but just slightly.

“Your daughter might be about to kill your boys.” Randy pointed out.

I let out a huff as I watched Kodi let out a growl as she stormed over to where her brothers were. Who knows what they said or did now, but I am sure they deserved to an extent. I shook my head at them when Vance nudged Rory as the two took off running. Kodi screamed at them as she took off after them. The three of us laughed when she came walking calmly back while Rory and Vance were hanging upside down in midair wrapped in vines. They were screaming at her in fey language which meant they were cussing her out so the kids couldn’t understand what they were saying. Everyone was laughing their asses off. I love this girl so damn much. She dropped them still wrapped in vines at Dani’s feet while Zhamaxin and Elymyna shook their heads.

“We might have not planned it this way, but I guess you are right. Everything turned out how it was meant to.” Estella sighed.

The four of us, Amelia had joined us, sat back and watched as our friends and family continued to celebrate their lives. I watched as little Deanernay walk out with her baby bump while Kekipi carried their year old son in his hip. She thankfully turned out better than her brother who was still being held in the French fey kingdom. He would never leave their alive. We may have paid the ultimate price for trying to take down Zenos, he got what he deserved in the end and that is all that mattered.

Kodi

If Dani, the kids and the damn kingdom didn’t need them so damn badly I would make my annoying brothers disappear. The kids would be upset if their daddies didn’t come home. I leaned back against Reign as Rory and Vance worked their way free of their vines. They were on my last nerve. I glanced up to the sky and smiled. I had always felt that someone was watching over me, but that feeling had increased immensely since the night of the fire when our house burnt to the damn ground. I know Uncle Randy told me to come here, but I always felt a pull to be here and once I met Reign, I knew it was because of the bond we shared. It was confirmed that we were the reincarnation of that long ago fae/elf princess and her Lycan mate.

“Are you okay my little copper flame?” Reign asked.

“Yeah, I mean minus dip shit and dumb ass. I believe that my parents are watching over me. Please don’t think I am crazy.” I told him.

“I would never think you’re crazy. I bet they are. I also bet they had a huge part to play in all of this. I don’t mean the whole crazy ass Zenos shit or bat shit crazy Lorena popping up, but I bet they help guide everything else to happen as it did. I completely blame them for dip shit and dumb ass. Your mother should have swallowed them.” Reign replied.

“Shut the fuck up. I don’t want to think of my parents like that. You are however very right about that.” I admit.

I look up when a small pup lands in my lap. Amelia is smiling at us as she kneels in my lap. I can feel a chuckle working its way up in Reign’s chest. I can feel the vibrations.

“Is there a reason you jumped into our laps? “I asked.

“Gio was chasing me.” She giggled.

She hopped off my lap and took off running with a squeal. I was laughing as Gio chased her around. Gio was Ellie and Calder’s oldest. He is two years older than Amelia, but I am pretty sure they are going to be mates. He is already very protective of her much to her father’s and brothers dismay. Reign gets all growly and puffs up when I mention this. Uncle Aaron has little Randi in his arms. She is giggling as he tickles her.

“You sure you don’t want one more?” Reign asked.

“I think four is enough. I don’t think my body could handle anymore.” I told him.

Being pregnant with Randi was easy. Things went so damn well with her. It was her birth that was the issue. I was scheduled for a c-section, but Randi decided that she wanted to be born before the scheduled c-section. I went into labour, and everything was fine. Everything was going fine until it felt like my insides were being torn apart. I was rushed back for an emergency c-section. Reign wasn’t allowed back and that made him go damn near feral. It was probably a good thing that I was rushed in like that. My uterus was torn, not a big tare, but enough to cause a significant bleed. Randi’s cord was wrapped around her neck three times so trying to have her natural probably would have killed her. They got the bleeding under control and unwrapped her cord from her neck. Chiron told me they thought they were going to have to remove my uterus for a few minutes. Everything turned out fine, but I was told that the next pregnancy could kill me and possibly the pup so I decided that Randi would be our last. I have been on birth control since and will be until it is no longer needed. I was more than happy with our little family considering I never thought I would have any of this. Things are perfect the way they are now so why chance it? The shadows were quiet and have been for years now. I mean they still whisper to me when the kids are up to shit, but that is it. I look back up again, and mouth thank you and that I love and miss them all.

Randy

I always knew if it came down to it I would will my powers to Kodi. I hadn’t planned on the whole blood bond thing until Dytharlio mentioned it. I thought about it for months before I dug out my elven books and found the spell. I knew it was risky, but I also had all the faith that it would work. Kodi was always special, and I knew if anyone could make it through this it was her. I was right. She let out a slight cry but then fell asleep. It was like the spell didn’t do anything to her but bound us by blood. Lorena was told when her magic was taken that it was destroyed so I have no idea who put the idea in her head that I had hid it in that hole in the ground. The hole meant nothing. It was the seal that was the source of releasing Kodi’s elven powers. She wasn’t the only one that knew of my elven blood. Jasper and Estella knew too, but since they died, they took that knowledge to the grave. I am more than proud of the woman that Kodi has become. I know that there are others out there that are going to try shit, but I also know that this bunch are ready for everything. This is what the rest of the supernatural world should do. This pack can deal with anything that is thrown their way. It doesn’t matter. Jasper, Estella, Amelia and I will be here to watch over them and make sure that whoever tries to hurt our kids meets their maker.
