The Missing Princess

I had always wonders what it would be like to have siblings, yeah I have no fucking idea what the hell I was thinking. I missed Dani and Ellie, but I knew I would see them. I of course thought I would see them every so often, but no, apparently my brothers either have way to much time on their hands or they are terrible kings. I have live within the pack for three weeks and they are here at least three times a fucking week. I understand why Dani and Ellie would come and visit since their families and friends are here, but my brothers have a fucking kingdom to run.

“Who actually runs the kingdom?” I asked.

“We do.” Vance replied.

“You do know in order to run a kingdom you must be present in that kingdom pretty much at all times. Yet the two of you are here more than there.” I pointed out.

“Yes, smart ass we know that. We came today because our grandparents would like to meet you. No we have not told them the truth yet. We wanted to talk with you about it first.” Rory told me.

“Beside, Dani and Ellie wanted to come back and help organise your Luna ceremony. They also want to go dress shopping with you.” Vance added.

My brain shut down when he said our grandparents want to meet me. I don’t even remember teleporting to the beach, but here I am. So much has changed in my life this last month and now this. I have the sudden urge to run far away and hide again.

“Forget it, you can’t run now. Not with that pretty mark on your neck.” Mauku says.

“Yeah, our alpha is already losing his shit when he was notified that you vanished.” Kekipi states.

Before I can say anything else a large black wolf comes tearing out of the forest and bounding across the beach. Mauku and Kekipi smile at me as the stand up, shift and leave. Chicken shits, I watch as Reign shifts and I have the sudden urge to lick every inch of that light golden brown skin. I roll my eyes when that smirk, that I both want to punch off his sexy face or kiss it off, appears. He drops down beside me as I lean my head on his shoulder. We sat there in silence watching the waves for a while.

“Want to talk about it?” I almost beat the shit out of dumb ass and dip shit when Ino told me you vanished.” Reign states.

“My grandparents want to see me.” I blurt out.

“And that constitutes a vanishing act?” He asked.

“I never knew my family, being raised by Uncle Randy. I have more or less raised myself, and I have been on my own since I was 12. Within the last month I have learned that the family I thougtht wanted nothing to do with me hid me to keep me safe. I learned that my parents died keeping me safe and that I have a pair of extremely annoying twin brothers, who apparently don’t get the concept that leading a kingdom means you need to be present in that kingdom not here in our pack. I am not sure I can handle anymore. I am terrified that they will want me to return to the kingdom and the castle and that is just not who I am. Maybe if I was raised in that shit it would have been different but I wasn’t.” I explained.

“My little copper flame, there is nothing to worry about. I already told dumb ass and dip shit that you want nothing to do with that life and they understand. I don’t think even if you would have been raised in that environment that you would want to stay there. You might be fey, but you are also dark fey and witch and they are famous for being wanderers. Beside I won’t let you leave.” Reign comments.

“As if you could stop me.” I hiss.

I dissolve into a laughing fit when the asshole grabs me before I can stand up and run and starts tickling me. I smack him on his chest which I doubt he fells since he is made from fucking rock. He finally stops tickling me as I sit there between his legs leaning back on his chest with his arms wrapped tightly around me. I swear this is the only place I feel safe and like nothing or no one could hurt me.

“I’ll be right beside you when you are ready to meet them. Dad will be there as well since he is the one that has to explain what happened and what they did. I am sure your grandparents will have a lot to say when they hear what their daughter and son-in-law did which honestly any parent would do. I would do anything to keep our kids, once we start having them, to keep them safe.” Reign told me.

“Ok, fair point. I just feel overwhelmed. I am scared to meet them and I know I have no reason to be.” I admit.

“Everything will be fine.” Reign added.

A loud howl is heard as I look at Reign. He lets me know that was his Dad and he wants us to come back. I guess my idiot brothers are frantic and terrified that they caused me to run. I am not sure how they fucking run the kingdom. I swear they don’t have any fucking common sense or street smarts. Poor Dani, looks like she is going to be babysitting the kings.

“Don’t worry. I told Rory and Vance to have your grandparents come to your Luna ceremony. We can have the talk the day after. I am sure they will figure it out when the see you. I know they always had a suspicion that their youngest grandchild was not a boy, but they never pushed the topic with your parents. Yes, I will explain everything to them.” Uncle Aaron says.

“Why wouldn’t they try to find out the truth?” I asked.

“They both knew the implications of having a female heiress. Your grandmother and mother while they were powerful still didn’t inherate what was expected. They knew the next female child born would.” Uncle Aaron points out.

“What about my dark fae family?” I asked.

“Unfortunately, I don’t know much about them. Your grandparents will know much more and that is something we can discuss when they come for the ceremony. I know you grew up with very little contact with others, but Kodi you have never and will never be alone. You have always had people on your side just certain circumstances caused a disturbance in that but it has now been rectified.” Uncle Aaron told me.

I throw my arms around Uncle Aaron as he laughs. I look over his shoulder to find Reign standing there looking at us. I can’t tell if he is amused, pissed or jealous. Uncle Aaron turns around and laughs at Reign as he stands up. I squeal and smack his back when I am thrown over his shoulder and removed from Uncle Aaron’s office. Stupid possessive jealous alpha.

Reign

With my arms crossed over my chest I stand here staring at my little copper flame. She has her arms crossed across her chest which is making being mad at her hard since her perfect handful tits are being pushed up. I can hear one of the assholes behind me snickering at us. Her pretty eyes are dancing around like the flames they resemble.

“They are in the fucking dungeon and secure. I don’t understand why you have your fucking panties in a twist.” Kodi growls.

“Excuse me, I was alerted to the fact that there are rogues on our land. Not only did I find the rogues but I found my Luna engaged in a fight with them. Oh sorry, she was fucking surrounded by six of them.” I hiss.

“Yes, and four out of six of them are dead. I had it under fucking control. That is not the first time I have taken on rogues or other assholes who think I am some fragile little girl made of glass.” She sneers.

I let out a huffing growl as I throw my hands up in the air. Fucking Blade is laughing in my head. Okay, she has a point. I know she is capable of taking care of herself, but that doesn’t mean I want her fighting and I sure as fuck don’t want to find her surrounded by rogues.

“What were you doing out there anyway?” I ask.

“There is a really nice pond and stream that is fed by a waterfall. It has the clearest and warmest water. I like to go there to think and escape everyday shit. I also caught a strange scent and was trying to figure out what or who it was. I happened across the rogues as I got closer to the waterfall. I didn’t even smell their trashy scent until I heard one of them growl which I found weird.” Kodi explained.

She isn’t wrong. Their scent didn’t hit me until we were damn near on top of them. I know exactly which pond she is talking about. I pull her into my arms and thankfully she doesn’t fight me on it.

“Reign I know you worry, but you don’t have to.” She mumbles.

“I know, but I can’t help it.” I replied.

I was surprised to hear her say that she caught a foreign scent. Ino asked what it smelled like, but when she tries to explain it we don’t know what would smell like that. I have Kekipi send Raef and Tayhill out to see if they could figure out what Kodi caught the scent of. She was adamant that it wasn’t a rogue, so then what the fuck is wondering around my land.

<Alpha the Luna was right. We were able to pick up a scent, but we don’t recognize it. Tayhill>

<What did it smell like? Me>

<Honestly I have no idea. It kind of reminds me of the Luna but not entirely. Who or what ever it was left our land. The scent leads to the North East of the island then disappears. Raef>

<Okay, come back. There is nothing else we can do until who or whatever it is returns. Me>

I walk towards the training area. I am not sure what to make of it when Raef said it reminded him of Kodi’s scent, but not fully. I find the guys ad Dad there. I smile as I watch Kodi facing off against one of the guys that Ranu is training to take his place. I spoke with Ranu and he agreed that Mandy needed to be dealt with. She had refused, even after her epic beat down, to accept Kodi as my Luna. She at least knew better than to challenge her again. This time would be to the death and I knew Kodi wouldn’t go easy, not that she did the last time. Ranu contacted his sister, who he holds responsible for Mandy’s behaviour and after speaking with her alpha they agreed to having Mandy transferred to that pack. As expected Mandy through a huge fucking tantrum, but in the end she went.

“Well what did Raef and Tayhill find?” Dad asked.

“They found a strange scent, which Raef said reminded him of Kodi’s scent, but not entirely.” I told him.

“What? That is all.” Ino comments.

“Dad what do dark fae smell like?” I asked.

“Damn, son it has been so long since I picked up the scent of a dark fae. We can head over there and see if I recognised it.” Dad admits.

I sat down beside Mauku to watch the face off. I can’t help but laugh when Daniel gulped. He was there when Mandy fought Kodi and when we raided the house where they had been held. He saw what she had done to those fuckers. Their little face off has been going on for about twenty minutes when Kodi stops dead in her tracks and whips around. A dark cloud engulf the training ground as four rogues snarl and growl as they stay suspended in the air. Where the fuck did these asshole come from. Kodi slams them to the ground as vines grow from the ground containing the rogues.

“WHERE DID YOU COME FROM AND WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU WORKING FOR? “ Kodi asked.

Holy fuck, her voice is low and deadly. Yeah they are in for it now if they don’t answer my little Luna.
