The Misfits

Chapter 36 - Elias

Elias

Friday for Elias was a day that everyone was in the rec room, so he went around to make sure everyone was ready for the next night. They knew at midnight, or just a little before, Elias was going to deactivate the cameras, then open all the doors.

Since he knew the layout, he told all of them but Devon and Selim, to go to the end of the corridor and wait. Devon and Selim were in another area, down along his own corridor at the opposite end, but the security office was in between, so he told Devon to go out and left twice to get to Selim. Once he had Selim, go to the next corridor, and take another left to meet up with Elias and Ally, and whoever else was with him that night.

Elias didn’t tell Selim any of the plan except that the next night, Devon would come to get him and to listen to Devon – it was really important that he do that.

He didn’t have to tell the boy not to talk to Enya. Selim was a kind, intelligent boy, but he took a dislike to Enya without any urging from the others.

Having almost a week to recuperate, both Allyson and Elias were both getting around better, only mildly sore.

Peg had taken to having someone stay with Ally and Elias since both were not feeling well, having Joss, Halley, Bree, and even Enya stay throughout the week.

Enya limited him to what he could do, so he simply went to bed as soon as Ally did. She didn’t try anything and slept with Ally.

He wasn’t sure who he’d get that night and the next. Hopefully it wasn’t Enya again. If so, that could mess up his plans.

They went back to the room after rec was closed, Ally hanging on to him like the monkey he called her. He wasn’t able to give her piggyback rides since his shoulders were still sore from being shot.

After dinner, Halley came in and she took Ally into the shower, the two of them playing in there for a while.

Elias didn’t care, he was in no hurry. Once they finished and were out, he took his turn before a movie was picked.

The kids watched the movie - this one about a big red robot who befriended a boy – falling asleep shortly after it ended.

Elias went to the computer and accessed everything he could to make sure he still could. He never did find a way to access the elevator remotely. All he could do was hope there was a way to activate it from within, or that someone got his messages and was able to activate it from above.

If not, their escape would be very short lived.

Having done all that, he looped the cameras and opened his door and Jocelyn’s. He checked both the cameras and doors and found Enya’s camera off and her door open.

That meant she had her visitor and was getting what she wanted. She was very vocal in asking for it.

He went out his door and walked to the start of Enya’s room and peeked.

As usual, bodies were moving in her bed with the sounds he expected and he quickly passed, walking quickly to Joss’s room while keeping an eye out for others.

He saw no one and went into Joss’s room quietly, standing at the head of her bed., looking at her sleeping form.

Watching her for a minute, he turned to go when she said, “Don’t go.”

Turning back, he saw her eyes were open. “I don’t have long, Enya is being entertained, repeatedly, tonight,” he said.

She pulled the sheet to the side, showing him she had nothing on. “She shouldn’t be the only one to get lucky tonight then.”

“I don’t have a lot of time,” he said.

“Well, then you best stop arguing and be quick… But not too quick,” she said, reaching for him, pulling him into her bed.

Elias stopped, asking her if she was sure, and she said, “I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life,” before pulling him in.

He really didn’t want to get caught the night before they tried escaping, but he got caught up in the experience.

Losing track of time, both ended up sated.

“I really have to go,” he said, laying next to her.

“We’ll have plenty of time to do that over and over again once we’re out of here,” she said kissing him. “Go.”

Elias got dressed and left, passing Enya’s room just as they finished. He couldn’t believe his luck.

Once he was back in his room, he closed his and Jocelyn’s doors, and set the camera’s back to normal and laid down.

He never noticed that Halley was awake. She knew he snuck out at night, but never his long. Closing her eyes, she went to sleep knowing where he had been.
