The Millionaire And His Billionaire Ex-Wife

Chapter 292

Chapter 292
“Don’t call me Patric, it’s disgusting! Sarah, if you dare to lay a finger on Abigail, I won’t spare you!” Patric shook off Sarah’s hand
and hurried downstairs.
Sarah watched his retreating figure, her features contorted with anger. In a fit of rage, she violently smashed a large blue and
white porcelain vase in the hallway. She knew all too well that if Abigail managed to escape tonight, Adrian’s reputation would be
irreversibly tarnished. The Grammar family would also face numerous challenges. But at that moment, none of it mattered to her
anymore. Even if she couldn’t ruin Grace, she was determined to destroy Abigail
Meanwhile, in Adrian’s room, Tao He was dealing with the media, while Euro rushed downstairs to manage the situation in the
garden. The extravagant banquet hadn’t even reached the point of introducing the towering cake before many of the guests,
unable to withstand the shocking scenes displayed on the big screen, decided to leave.
Unfazed by the guests’ departure, Sarah ran downstairs through an alternate route, driven by her madness to personally carry
out her plan against Abigail.
In the meantime, Abigail had just finished her performance and was sipping on some juice. backstage with her fellow group
members at Butterfly Girls. But within a few minutes, she began to feel an intense heat coursing through her body. Struggling to
endure the discomfort, she leaned against the wall as she made her way through the corridor, only to be forcefully abducted by a
rough-looking, unkempt man. He swiftly dragged her into the basement, slamming the door shut behind them.
Sarah arrived at the basement accompanied by five bodyguards, cameras at the ready, hoping to capture Abigail’s predicament.
However, upon opening the door, she was disappointed by the sight that greeted her. Abigail was huddled in a corner, her eyes
bloodshot, clutching a blood-stained steel rod. Though trembling, she displayed a resilient spirit. Despite her once-delicate
costume now in tatters, there was no trace of embarrassment in her unwavering gaze-only an unyielding determination.
Realizing that the plan hadn’t gone as expected, Sarah seethed with anger. She couldn’t help but wonder if she had fallen victim
to a string of unfortunate events. The man whose nose Abigail had bruised approached Sarah, his limp evident from her beating.
He nervously addressed her, “Miss, this woman is incredibly strong and resilient. I couldn’t defeat her!”
“Useless!” Sarah slapped him and turned her attention to Abigail, who remained defiant in the corner. “Get her! Each one of you
will be rewarded with a million dollars!”
Upon hearing her command, the bodyguards charged at Abigail, who pleaded desperately, “Stay away! Don’t come any closer!”
Abigail swung her club frantically, but overwhelmed by the strength of several bodyguards, her weapon was swiftly seized. Filled
with panic and despair, she contemplated biting her tongue as a last resort.
Just as the bodyguards closed in on her, Patric intervened, launching a series of powerful strikes that left the bodyguards
sprawled on the ground, howling in pain. Sarah, who had leaned against the door, was bewildered, unable to comprehend how
all the bodyguards had been effortlessly defeated. Patric crouched down, swiftly removing his suit jacket and using it to cover

Abigail’s torn clothes. With his large hand, he gently patted her face, urging her to open her mouth and preventing her from biting
her tongue.
“Abigail, it’s me! I’m sorry I’m late!” Patric’s deep voice resonated with familiarity, finally bringing a sense of relief to Abigail.
Overwhelmed with emotions, she collapsed into his arms, tears streaming down her face.
Chapter 292
Patric tenderly soothed her, patting her back to calm her racing heart. But inside him, a storm of rage brewed. His eyes grew
colder, and a chilling aura emanated from him.
Sarah, witnessing their closeness, lost all sense of reason. She rushed forward, attempting to pull Patric away, her expression
contorted in a grotesque manner.
“Why are you doing this to me? Why? I’ve loved you since we were children. I finally had the chance to become engaged to you,
but you’ve rejected me time and time again. You treat other women better than me, Patric! Why would you treat me like this?!
Her words grew more frenzied as she hammered at Patric’s arm in a fit of anger.
Patric remained motionless, his eyes growing even more sinister. Unable to bear it any longer, he struck her back with a
resounding slap.
The force behind the slap was immense. Sarah’s face turned red, and blood trickled from the corner of her mouth. Dazed and
stunned, she covered her face, remaining silent for a long moment. ‘You hit me? You actually hit me?”
In Patric’s pupils, a storm raged. He looked at Sarah with disgust, as if he had ingested a swarm of flies. “I’ve never laid a hand
on a woman, but you are worse than a beast!”
With those chilling words, he scooped up Abigail, who had fallen into a state of unconsciousness, into his arms and swiftly exited
the basement.
Sarah reached out, attempting to grab the hem of his trousers, but her actions were in vain. She screamed in a frenzy, her mind
unable to process the devastation of her meticulously planned scheme. Everything she had worked for over the past two weeks
had crumbled before her eyes, pushing her to the brink of collapse.
Patric emerged from the Grammar family mansion, carrying Abigail to the waiting car. He instructed the driver to look after her
before turning back towards the Grammar family residence.
The situation in the garden had somewhat stabilized. Euro, wearing a grim expression, stood before the remaining guests,
offering apologies and attempting to restore order. Yet, Patric’s words. reignited the chaos.
Stepping onto the stage, Patric picked up the microphone and addressed the guests gathered below. “I, Patric, hereby publicly
announce the termination of my engagement with Sarah. Furthermore, all companies under my name will sever ties with the
Grammar family indefinitely.”
“From this point forward, the Grammar family is on their own!”
Having vented his anger with those final words, Patric tossed the microphone aside and stormed away in anger.

The sound of the microphone crashing to the ground reverberated through the air, followed by a shrill feedback noise. The
atmosphere once again grew tense.
The guests, who had been momentarily pacified by Euro, erupted in commotion once more. Outside the gates of the Grammar
family residence, Eder stepped forward, holding Grace in her arms. As they prepared to enter the car, Patric’s solemn
declaration reached their ears.
Grace raised her thumb in admiration. “Wow, Patric is so fierce! Just as I expected from my brother!”
Eder smiled and carefully settled Grace into the back seat. Grace graciously made room for her, allowing her to join. As the car
door closed, the cacophony of noise from the Grammar family mansion faded away.
Like Eric, acting as the driver, started the engine, pressed on the accelerator, and drove them. towards Golden Castle
Residences. Grace couldn’t help but feel curious about the recent events. She turned her head and asked, “Eder, when you were
at Adrian’s room, why were you so.certain that the person inside wasn’t me?”
