Chapter 246
Chapter 246
“Did they see it correctly?” Eder actually peeled the orange himself and even fed it
Is this gentleman in the video truly the cold and ruthless ruler of the Grant family?! Even Eric was stunned, momentarily
forgetting that he was supposed to be reporting the data.
Meanwhile, the man on the screen, who was under the watchful eyes of the entire conference room, remained completely
unaware of any impropriety.
As he fed the orange beyond the screen, a subtle glimmer of tenderness appeared in his typically icy black eyes. The sweet and
affectionate atmosphere filled the conference room unabated, permeating even through the digital display.
Noticing Eric’s sudden silence, Eder frowned disapprovingly, swiftly returning to his chilly demeanor. “Continue,” he commanded.
“Oh, yes!” Eric jolted back to reality, his eyes flicking back to the information booklet in his hands. But suddenly, he found himself
at a loss. The line he had just read had slipped from his memory! With a stern expression, Eder prompted him. “The profit–and–
loss ratio of the Rossi project.” “Oh, right, the profit–and–loss ratio Eric hastily flipped through the pages, finally locating the
relevant information and resuming his report.
Just as Eder was about to feed the seventh orange outside the screen, Grace shifted her face to the side, refusing to open her
mouth.
“I don’t want to eat anymore.” Unable to feed her, Eder naturally withdrew his hand, preparing to eat the orange himself.
A voice from beside stopped him, “You can’t, you’re not allowed to eat!” It wasn’t that Grace was being stingy, but someone who
was in the recovery period after surgery shouldn’t eat too many oranges. Eder had already eaten three today.
He had to control himself!
Eder stopped eating the oranges, then turned his head and glanced to the side. “No!”
Grace frowned, threatening him with her gaze, and then checked the time, speaking softly, “It’s time. Take your medicine!”
The stern president received a scolding, and everyone watched his face grow dark, signaling trouble ahead..
The room fell silent, anticipating a tantrum and the sound of a cup breaking, just like he had done to them in the past. But to their
surprise, Eder seemed like a child denied candy.
After a moment of annoyance, he promptly placed the orange down and grabbed a wet wipe, gracefully cleaning his hands,
Then he took the pill that Grace handed to him from outside the screen, mixed it with warm water, and effortlessly resumed the
meeting as if nothing had occurred.
“Incredible!” Is this what they mean by “one tames the other?
Their strict president turned out to be a man who listens to his wife?
If they hadn’t witnessed it themselves, they would never have believed that the man on the video
call, who obediently followed his wife’s instructions, was Ider!
Meanwhile, Eder himself had no idea that his series of actions in front of the camera would soon become known to the entire
senior managentent.
After the exhausting meeting, he closed his laptop, held the hands of a woman who was leisurely playing with her phone, and
pressed her down onto the sofa.
“Hey, what are you doing?” Looking at the innocent phone lying beside her, Grace struggled to free her wrist, but Eder held it
tightly.
Eder’s menacing presence slowly closed in on her, and his warm breath caressed her face.
He lightly brushed against her nose and accused her in a cold tone, “If you won’t let me eat oranges, then I’ll just eat you.”
Grace couldn’t resist Eder’s teasing and it made her feel ticklish and blush. She tried to regain control and said, “Your injuries
haven’t fully healed yet, so you should take it easy!‘
Eder felt frustrated, but he couldn’t argue back. If he said he was fully healed, Grace might leave tomorrow. He would face
limitations and be unable to do certain things if he confessed that he wasn’t healed.. Both options were painful.
After being annoyed for a while, he came up with a somewhat acceptable solution. “Then, I won’t hother you. My injuries have
gotten better. How about you sleep in my room tonight?”
Grace quickly shook her head. “No, I’m not used to sleeping with someone else.”
“You can get used to it. Just two nights, and you’ll adjust.”
“Don’t think I don’t know what you’re planning. It’s not going to happen!” Grace playfully stuck her tongue out, refusing to fall for
his trap.
Her teasing behavior successfully ignited the fire in Eder’s heart.
Eder swiftly held her by the waist, asserting his dominance, and supported her shoulders, preventing her from falling as she
struggled. He also secured her leg with his other hand
The corner of his mouth twitched, and he said, “Today, you were the one who provoked me first. There’s no escape; you have to
take responsibility for extinguishing the fire.”
“Eder! Put me down!” With her legs restrained, Grace could only wave her hands and show her frustration from behind.
However, she was concerned about his injuries and didn’t want to hurt him by hitting his back too
hard.
In the end, Grace focused her blows on his firm buttocks. She clenched her fists and struck him. vigorously! She continued to
complain, “You’re bullying me! I’ll beat you up! Let me go!” Being repeatedly beaten completely annoyed Eder.. He didn’t retaliate
physically, but instead shouted, ‘Grace Salen!”
It was the first time he called her by her full name.
The dramatic scene between the two of them came to an end when the phone rang. It was a call from Mr. Ethan Smith.
Eder had to put her down and let her answer the call.
Taking a breath to calm down, she asked, “Dad, what’s up?”
Chapter 215
“Darling, are Eder’s injuries getting better?”
“This is something your older brother did without much thought. Since he’s getting better, why don’t you take him back to the
Smiths Villa tonight for a family banquet?‘
After all, they were engaged, and Eder had never officially accompanied her to the Smith family. Mr. Smith hadn’t even seen him
much
Grace thought for a moment and felt that it was indeed not very appropriate.
“Okay, Dad, I understand. We will come for dinner on time tonight.”
“Good girl...”
Mr. Smith chatted with her for a bit before hanging up the phone.
The living room returned to silence.
Grace looked at her phone, her head hanging low, not even bothering to look up at the man standing in front of her.
Ider couldn’t see her expression and felt a little puzzled. He decided to squat down next to her feet and unexpectedly saw her
eyes reddened, with teardrops shimmering like fleeting meteors in the night sky.
The sight of those tears made Eder’s heart tremble. He couldn 1 bear to see her feeling wronged, so he softened his tone and
asked, “What’s wrong?”
Grace pouted, turned her face away, and didn’t even look at him. “You yelled at me.”
“I didn’t.”
Grace felt even more wronged. With today’s incident, she finally realized it.
Eder, deep down, was always a domineering and proud man. Moreover, his strength and skills surpassed hers.
Usually, Eder would accommodate her, but when they really argued, she couldn’t win against him physically. She didn’t even
know what he would do if he truly got angry, and that fear was unbearable for her.
She couldn’t let Eder suppress her spirit. She was unwilling to be forever his soft and gentle little darling!! She wanted to rise up
as the queen! She had to crush the idea of Eder controlling her completely!
It seemed that she needed to prepare a little surprise for Eder earlier than planned. She had to find an opportunity to challenge
his dominance and establish her authority!
