The Million-Dollar Heart

Chapter 887

Percival wrapped his arm around Vivienne's waist, trailing behind Sasha and Arthur. Watching the couple ahead share tender
moments, a pang of envy crept into Percival's heart.
As they walked, Percival's firm grip on Vivienne's waist halted her steps. She turned her head, her expression a mix of confusion
and warmth, and softly asked, "Mr. Wolf, why have we stopped?"
Percival drew her under a canopy of white jasmine, his handsome features illuminated by the moonlight, his voice husky, "Are
you staying at the Linklater estate tonight?"
Vivienne had been staying there for the past few days. Since their heartfelt reunion, she and Percival had been spending their
nights apart. Glancing at his striking figure, she teased, "Or perhaps I should visit your villa?"
Desire flickered in Percival's eyes as he pressed closer, pinning her against the garden's white fence, "That won't do. You're
under the watchful eyes of the Linklater estate."
He was well aware of Vivienne's boldness, especially since she was new to the estate. There were undoubtedly those amongst
them with less than pure intentions.
Vivienne narrowed her eyes, understanding his hint at Dracon, her gaze sharp yet playful, "Let them watch. It's more concerning
if they didn't."
Percival chuckled deeply, adoration in his laughter, "Always the strategist."
Vivienne arched an eyebrow, her eyes twinkling with mischief, "Me? I'm just a kindly soul."
Percival lightly grazed her nose with his finger, "Indeed, the kindest of all." With that, he pulled her into a deep, passionate kiss,
their breath mingling. After the kiss, their foreheads touched, Vivienne's cheeks flushed with a tender glow.
"Come for me tonight," she whispered to Percival.
He nodded, "I'll sneak you away."
After parting ways, Vivienne headed to her room alone.
Arthur, with a hesitant look, caught up to her, worry clouding his face. After a moment's hesitation, he followed her inside, closing
the door behind him.

Vivienne, guessing his concerns, invited him to sit, "Take a seat."
Arthur sat down, his voice cautious, "You and Percival, have you...?"
Memories of Percival flooded her mind, her thoughts wandering to his muscular physique until she choked on her drink. Clearing
her mind, she faced Arthur, "Everything has happened." "What?!" Arthur exclaimed, shocked by her candidness, his regret
palpable for not having met her sooner.
Vivienne glanced at him, "Any objections?"
Shaking his head, Arthur resigned, "What objections could I possibly have? Just... take care."
Vivienne assured him with a nod, her tone calm, "I know my body best."
That night, Vivienne prepared a relaxing bath, adding a special blend of oils for a beauty soak. As she relaxed, she anticipated
Percival's arrival. Soon, a soft knocking came from the window.
Vivienne, wrapping herself in a robe, approached and opened the window to reveal Percival. His entrance was swift, his
presence enveloping the room. Their greeting was a deep, longing kiss, after which Vivienne teased, "Mr. Wolf, where do you
plan to whisk me away to?"
Percival, overtaken by desire, his breath quickening, decided instead to wrap her in another layer of clothing.
Vivienne, playful and coy, suggested, "Might as well cover my face, so you won't be tempted."
Percival, helpless against her charm, embraced her from behind, his chin resting on her shoulder, "Or perhaps, Vivienne, you
could indulge me now."
Vivienne tilted her head back onto his shoulder, snuggling closer in an intimate embrace, reminiscent of two graceful black
swans entwining their necks. "Alright, as long as you're happy, I'm the lucky one, then. Are you still planning to sneak me out?"
Percival couldn't resist planting a kiss on her delicate neck, gently nipping at her skin, causing Vivienne to shiver slightly,
momentarily satisfying his craving.
"The noise here might draw attention; it's better if we head out. Go change into something warmer, it's chilly at night," Percival
advised.

Vivienne nodded, playfully scratching Percival's chin before she pulled out a purple dress from the wardrobe and slipped into it.
When Percival turned around, Vivienne's stunning beauty made the moon pale in comparison. He swept her into his arms and
they leaped out of the window.
The pair navigated through the dense branches of towering trees and over walls several feet high, escaping the Linklater estate.
Percival's car was parked under a blossoming tree.
Percival opened the car door, assisting Vivienne in with care, before following her into the driver's seat.
"Mr. Wolf, where are we headed?" Vivienne's hair, slightly damp, cascaded over her shoulders, soft and sleek.
Percival smiled, his voice warm and soothing, "Just wait, you'll see."
