The Messenger of Death

Chapter 308: lex vs vincent

-Switch.

Alex switched with Lex.

"Hahaha," Lex laughed silently as soon he took over, ignoring the pain and blood that was in his mouth. It was as if he liked the current state that he was in.

Vincent felt the hair on his neck stand.

Milo reappeared beside Lex. ['Throw a few punches, Milo, aim at any direction, I have a plan.'] Lex directed.

['Milo's body should be strong enough not to break apart under spatial force, right.'] Lex asked wanting to confirm before proceeding with his plan.

['Most likely, even the weapons that we got from the Dragnels could hardly put a dent on him.'] Xander replied.

['Great,'] Lex uttered with excitement.

Just as Lex directed, Milo threw random but strong punches at the air. Lex had already activated his spatial bloodline ability, creating a spatial domain where he could basically see and feel everything within the domain.

Vincent was oblivious to this and still Went after Lex just as he had been doing. He saw Milo throwing random punches at the air and started wondering if Milo was broken.

-Thum!

Suddenly, a blow struck Vincent on his chin. Lex had opened a spatial hole in front of one of the random punches that Milo had been throwing. Vincent crashed on the ground and rolled a few times before stopping.

He was still in shock, trying to process how he got struck. He didn't even know what had hit him…

Even Argus that had been overseeing their fight from the shadows couldn't see the blow. It was as if something invisible had hit Vincent.

'How is this possible!?' The astonished Argus wondered with shock evident on his face. Although Argus couldn't see the attack, he knew that it came from Milo.

'Where did this kid get this puppet thing from?' Argus asked himself before concluding that he probably got it from Nana.

Lex did the same thing again, opening a spatial hole in front of two of Milo's random punches.

-Pop!

-Crack!

One of the blows had hit Vincent on his eyes, temporarily blinding him and the other hit his shoulder, breaking his shoulder blades.

Vincent was pushed back by the attack, he created a ditch as his body dragged along the ground after being hit.

This time Vincent could see what had hit him, he saw a black metal-like fist before it hit his eyes and he was sure that the attack came from Milo.

"Fuck this! Clap of Gale!" Vincent roared and clapped his hands as hard he could. As a wind attribute user, he could utilize the wind.

-Whoop!contemporary romance

His clap created two gales of wind that was so strong it uprooted the trees around before it closed in on Lex. Vincent couldn't help but make a muffled sound as the pain from his broken shoulder blade was almost unbearable to him.

Lex only smirked and teleported to a place that was outside the range of Vincent's attack.

When Argus saw it, his jaw almost fell to the ground. He couldn't comprehend how Lex had instantaneously moved from one spot to another so fast that his eyes couldn't keep up with it, nor could he guess the trajectory. He could only vaguely sense where he went to.

This was the same for Vincent. "Y-You m-must be a demon from hell!!" Vincent cried out. What Lex did was basically impossible in Vincent's mind and it broke him a bit. He started losing it bit by bit.

"A demon? Hahaha!" Lex laughed out jovially with blood falling from his lips and his pouring from his nose. This only made Vincent believe that Lex was really a demon.

"Let's play," Lex suddenly stopped laughing and said. Suddenly killing intent gushed out of him and fell upon Vincent.

Vincent couldn't help but shiver in fear when this happened. Killing intent wasn't something that anyone can achieve just from cultivating, it is a mental ability, a mental realm that only a few are able to achieve. Moreover, the killing intent that steemed from Lex wasn't a weak one.

Its pressure began affecting the reality around Vincent. He felt the ground sinking and Lex's figure getting bigger.

Vincent felt as if his heart was about to burst out of his chest. His mental strength wasn't able to resist the influence of Lex's killing intent…

"What sort of mental pressure is this?" Argus whispered, whipping the sweat that had formed on his forehead. He too was affected by the killing intent, but his mental strength was strong enough to resist most of the pressure that was coming from the killing intent, so he didn't see Lex the same way Vincent was seeing him.

"How did someone this young achieve something like this? I refuse to believe that Nana helped him get this strong. He contained all of this intent in his mind with releasing an ounce in his previous attacks, wasn't he planning on killing Vincent from the beginning?" Argus muttered to himself.

The reason why Alex hadn't released his killing intent when attacking Vincent before was because he wanted to use the element of surprise to kill Vincent, and revealing his intent would have given out his intention before his attack could even come close enough to hurt Vincent.

Alex had already reached the realm where he could mask his killing intent until the last second before releasing it. His attack, to others, will look as if he had no intention to kill his opponent right until the last second. But before he could even release a bit of his killing intent, Vincent had countered and dodged his attacks.

And the only reason Vincent is affected this much by the killing intent is because, his mind was slightly affected after seeing Lex teleport, and without being given much time to comprehend what he saw, the pressure from the killing intent broke his mind further…

Lex took a step forward and Vincent felt the world shake. "Stay away from you me you vile demon!!" He screamed out like a madman and got up to run.

As he ran he looked back at Lex slowly approaching Lex and screamed some more. "Stay away!!" What frightened Vincent the more is the fact that Lex was still closing in on him, even as he was running and Lex walking.

In reality, Vincent wasn't running per se. It was as if he moving in slow motion, but his mind told him that he was running. This is how much his mind had broken at this point.

Lex was quite surprised to see this happen.

Vincent turned and attempted to use Clap of Gale once again. Surprisingly, his movement wasn't slow, if anything, it was even faster than the previous one that he did, albeit careless. Nonetheless, it was as if he had broken out his slow-motion moment.

Lex saw this coming and he opened two spatial holes in-between Vincent's wrist before they could connect.

-Pat! Pat!

Two mangled bloody hands with a few of the fingers missing passed through spatial holes and hit Vincent's cheeks. Shook his head and looked at the hands that him. They looked familiar to him, up until this point, Vincent was oblivious to the reality that his hand, from his wrist down, was missing. All he knew was that his Clap of Gale didn't work.

"Kiiyyaahhh!!" Vincent cried out in agony.

At that moment Argus started wondering if he should intervene.

"What do I do!? Let me live!" Vincent rambled, desperately. In desperation, Vincent remembered that they were inside a barrier. As long as he could make it out of the barrier Lex wouldn't be able to go after him. After all, the barrier recognized that he wasn't meant to be kept inside.

Quickly, Vincent took his first step and was about to bolt towards the barrier. Upon taking the second step, he felt his leg sink into the ground. However, it wasn't the ground that his leg was sinking into, it was a spatial hole.

-Thud!

Vincent saw a mangled blood-covered leg fall in front of him. The pain from having his leg severed stunned his brain. "Ahhh!!" As he screamed saliva flew out his mouth.

Lex opened another spatial hole in front of Vincent's stomach, but the hole was only big enough for a fist to pass through. Vincent felt a part of his stomach getting stuck, before he could do anything that part of his stomach had vanished.

Now he was missing his wrists, a leg, and a part of his stomach.

Blood gushed out of his stomach and a little part of his intestine threatened to fall out. Vincent was losing a lot of blood thus making his complexion pale. He knelt on the ground unable to move much.

Lex slowly walked to him and when he was close enough to touch him, he squatted until he look right into Vincent's eye.

"How does it feel?" Lex chuckled. He seemed to be having fun doing this.

"Stay away from-"

-Blergh!

He vomited blood.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. I'm being generous like this you know." Lex pouted. He then looked at the hole on Vincent's stomach and an innocent smile found its way to his bloody lips.

Lex placed his hand in front of the hole and slowly sent his hand inside Vincent's stomach.

"Gahhh!!" Vincent was unable to mask his agony, screaming was the only thing that gave some kind of relief.

"Hmm, your lungs or your heart?" Lex asked as his hand traveled through Vincent's organs slowly.

"Ahhh!!" Tears rolled down Vincent's face.

"No, no, no, shhh, don't cry. It's all a game." With all seriousness, Lex comforted with a soothing tone and used his other hand to wipe the tears on Vincent's face.

His other hand then grazed past Vincent's heart. "It was fun while it lasted… say hello to Hinata for me in hell." Lex's tone switched from playful, soothing, and sad then finally his tone turned cold.

-Puff!!

He grab Vincent's heart squeezed hard, crushing it to bits. Blood flowed out of all his pores after his heart was crushed. The light in his eyes dimmed as his soul left his body.

['Ewww, I think this is what they call 'Fisted to death' Hahaha!!'] Al mocked happily, trying to make sexual innuendo out of Vincent's final moments.
