The Messenger of Death

Chapter 306: alexander the prisoner

The news of Alex's deed and his arrest had spread around the whole school. It even reached the ears of the principal.

In the Guest inn, Xiao En was seated in a café when the steward approached her and whispered in her ears. Her eyes opened wide in delight and a mischievous smile on her lips.

"That kid really went ahead and did it, hahaha! And grandpa said I was the most unreasonable person in the whole academy. He should be having a headache now, don't you think?" She said to the steward.

"It's just as you say Young Miss. He's too stubborn to use his authority to intervene, but he also knows that the Young master, Alexander is Miss Natalia's only disciple. He wouldn't want to make her angry, even I wouldn't want to do that… she's a very difficult woman to deal with." The steward replied.

"Alex would be safe either way." Xiao En chuckled and shook her head. "Maybe I should give him more idea of things to do, things might for once in this place, be fun."

"I would advise against that Young Miss, the Master asked me to minimize the trouble and problems you can cause for your grandfather." The steward reminded with a smile on his face.

Xiao En rolled her eyes at the steward, "The Master this, Master that. I swear if I see that so-called Father of mine…" She paused. "Leave me alone, old man." Xiao En pouted.

The steward bowed and walked away from her.

In the principal's office.

"What do you suggest we do Alexander, Headmaster?" Argus, stood in front of the principal's table as he spoke.

The headmaster remained silent as he began to think of a safe and possible solution for the problem Alex had caused.

"Argus?" The principal said lightly as he opened a bamboo flask and sipped its content. Whether it was tea, water, or wine was unknown to Argus.

Seeing the principal calm about the situation made Argus a lot more nervous than he already is.

"What do you think would happen if Nana came back and found out that her disciple has been killed?" The principal asked.

"She is likely to kill those that caused his death and destroy the academy," Argus answered.contemporary romance

"Most likely." The principal nodded, agreeing with Argus's reply. "And if we intend to avoid that, what do you think we should do?"

"To avoid that, we just have to make sure that her disciple survives…"

"Now go and make sure that he survives." The principal dismissed.

"But sir, if I intervene, that would be against the law of the academy. Unless you insist, I would not do such." Argue reminded.

"I am not asking you to intervene, I just said that you should make sure that he survives. If I go personally, it will destroy my image and make people think that I am giving him preferential treatment, which will make things worse. Make sure that he chooses to be turned into a puppet or go to the forest of prisoners.

If he chooses to become a puppet, bring him to me, and if he wants to go to the forest of prisoners, go with him and protect him. With your cultivation, there's anyone or any monster there that can cause you any problem." The principal finished. "Now go," He picked up the bamboo flask and took a mouthful of its content this time.

"As you wish Sir," Argus bowed before taking his leave.

"Like master, like disciple. Those two have mental issues and like to kill whenever they please regardless of the place or law. They are both headaches." He raised his bamboo flask and took another sip of its content.

"Ahh!! That kid Alexander is in the same team as my disciple." The principal felt the urge to facepalm himself when he remembered this. His plans had been to use Alex and Camron to show off the power of his academy. Realizing that he wouldn't be able to show off now pissed him off a bit.

"I guess I can take my mind off top 100 this time too." He muttered.

Knock, knock, knock!

The sound of wood being knocked upon filled the principal's office. Without asking, through sensing the person's familiar aura, the principal became aware of whom it was that is standing outside his door. "Come in," He permitted.

"Headmaster!" Camron ran into his office, looking worried and stressed.

"Calm yourself Camron." The principal urged.

"I'm sorry Sir, but I can't find the strength to be calm at this moment. Something bad happened." Camron spoke quickly.

"I know. It's about your teammate Alexander, isn't it?"

"Yes Sir. I know that he broke a rule of the academy, by can you please lessen his punishment to anything but death." Camron pleaded.

"It has already been done, I can't do much for him now. But don't worry, he won't die." The principal reassured.

Hearing this, Camron felt his blood rushing up to his face. He was delighted that nothing fatal was going to happen to Alex. Only at this point did Camron notice that he had been sweating on his back, and how much the inner part of his lips was bleeding.

He didn't even know that he had been biting his own lips and how hard each bit had been. Several parts of the inner part of his lower lips had teeth marks. "Uhh, please excuse me." He bowed before rushing out of the principal's office.

"Prepare well for the competition, I'm counting on you to bring some face for the academy." The principal said. His words reached Camron despite the fact that he had already gone far. "Perhaps we have hope for top 50, with how Camron has grown."

There was an indescribable power in Camron's gaze, different from what the principal could remember, he deemed it as Camron improving his mental strength.

Meanwhile, in the Hall where Alex's trial was being held…

A few minutes ago, Argus arrived and was listening to the 'Judge' explain the options to Alex.

"No thanks, to the forest please," Alex replied.

"Ungrateful child, do you think you will survive an hour there?" One of the 'Judges' questioned rhetorically.

"I don't see how that is part of your problem," Alex responded either way. "My life and death shouldn't bring any concern to your wrinkled brain."

"Let's just execute him!! His arrogance knows no bounds. Sending him to the forest is just a waste of our time when he's still going to die." The 'Judge' that Alex replied became angry.

"According to the law of the academy, he has the right to pick from amongst three options. Since he has already made a choice, you have no authority to reject it." For the first time since Argus arrived, he spoke.

['What is this stuck-up guy doing here?'] Al asked.

Everyone present could tell immediately that it was Argus that spoke. "Isn't that right, chief?"

The 'Judge' that explained the options was the one Argus referred to as chief.

"It is exactly as you. The young man chose to go to the forest of prisoners. I hereby sentence you, Alexander to a month in the forest of prisoners and this shall be effective immediately." The 'Judge' decided.

"Finally!" Alex blurted out.

'Huh, this kid must be eager to die.' Argus thought. 'Or he is aware that nothing fatal could be done to him.' Argus shook his head, wishing that he could discipline Alex properly.

The guards quickly approached and took him away. As soon as they left, Argus left the hall too, following them in the shadows. Vincent too was tailing Alex.

'What is he up to?' Argus wondered but decided not to do anything at the moment.

Moments later, after passing the snow-covered mountain, when they were close to the barrier of the forest of prisoners, Vincent showed himself.

"Brothers, let me take care of this from here. You can go back, I will escort the prisoner to the barrier for you." Vincent offered.

At first, the guards were hesitant, but then they figured out that Vincent was part of the people that processed Alex's trial, so there was nothing wrong with letting him complete their job for them.

"We'll leave the rest for you then. Thank you." One of the guards said. He removed the seal that restricted Alex's cultivation and gave Alex his storage ring back before leaving.

"So you came to finish what Duna couldn't start?" Alex asked with a smirk on his face.

"Hmph, let's see how long that will smirk will remain on your face before I rip your head off." Vincent walked forward, going closer to the barrier.

He placed a talisman on it. The talisman took a few seconds before it activated, opening just enough space on the barrier for the two of them to pass through.

Vincent walked in first and turned to look at Alex, "Aren't you coming in?" He questioned with a vicious smile on his face.

"Really? Hahaha!!" Alex laughed hard, clutching his stomach. "Alright shit face, let's play."

'Milo, get ready," Alex called out in his mind simultaneously bringing out the twilight twin swords in his storage ring.

'He has other plans huh? Should I intervene now, or wait till he has done a little harm to Alex first?' Argus pondered as he watched Alex approach Vincent, fearlessly…
