Chapter 3763
Jacob was in the car when he saw Hannah walking with Wendy.
His jaw almost dropped upon seeing Hannah. He blurted out in surprise, "My god, Elaine! Did you just jinx it? Why did Hannah suddenly appear as soon as you called for her?!"
Elaine was equally dumbfounded as well. At a loss, she muttered, "This can't be... I wasn't trying to jinx it..."
Jacob said awkwardly, "You're amazing... I thought I just saw a ghost."
Elaine stayed calm. "Didn't you see Hannah walking with Wendy? Maybe Wendy summoned her back."
Jacob nodded slightly and mumbled, "That's possible. They are mother and daughter, after all..."
At the same time, Christopher roared angrily on the balcony. Lady Wilson saw Christopher pointing somewhere and looked over. Then, she saw Hannah hide timidly behind Wendy with a nervous and scared face. Lady Wilson hated Hannah as much as Christopher did.
First of all, Hannah cheated on Christopher and got pregnant with another man's child. Not only that, she infected her son with transmittable diseases.
However, Lady Wilson despised Hannah mostly because of theft.
Hannah stole two hundred dollars from Lady Wilson. It was her hard-earned money!
Lady Wilson earned a hundred dollars from her work at the supermarket and received another hundred dollars as compensation after being slapped in the entrance hall of Thompson First.
Two hundred dollars was not a lot. However, Hannah's crime was detestable in Lady Wilson's eyes!
Lady Wilson could forgive Hannah for her extramarital affair, but not theft! She could steal anyone's money, but not her hard-earned money!
As a result, Lady Wilson became
furious. She pointed a t Hannah downstairs and raised her pitch, screaming at the tops of her lungs. "Hannah! How dare you return after stealing my money! You better leave and never come near us again!"
Hannah was troubled, unsure how to plead for herself. Finally, it was Wendy who spoke.
"Grandma, I'm the one who called Mom back!"
"Mom shouldn't have stolen your money in the first place, but she had her difficulties! I hope you can forgive her this time because she's my mother," Wendy pleaded. "Don't ever think about it!" Lady Wilson instantly yelled. "She can never come back as long as I'm still
alive!"
Lady Wilson immediately turned to
Christopher and ordered,
"Christopher! Call the police now! Tell them the thief who stole my hard-earned money is back! Let the police come over and take her away! She should go to jail!"
Wendy said hastily, "Grandma! If you must insist, my mom's not the only one at fault here! You're the one who kept bullying her all the time and starved her. Why would she have done that otherwise?"
