The Maiden and The Four Waters

Chapter Chapter Twenty- Two

“You talk of love as if it holds a meaning to your heart, sitting beside you is one who seems to be enthralled with your heart. You speak of breaking the pain of the past, yet you continue to follow in their footsteps. You seek justice for your silly little men while accusing my child of something.” The king mentioned.

Walla swallowed her silence.

Mariana stayed silent as she swished her attention to Walla, studying the young woman’s face.

“My love has made an offer that you’ve refused twice, if you don’t come here for love than what do you seek?”

Walla knew what she sought out to seek when she travelled down to the four waters, she sought out to seek her men, she sought out to seek the four waters and most importantly she set out to seek the truth.

Walla shifted her focus to Mariana’s eyes for just a second before moving her attention back to the king “I’ve spoken of what I wanted since the first day I came down here, I want to seek my men, but I know neither of you will give me what I want. I seek the wonder of curiosity; Just like Mariana I value the wonder of the world I’ve never seen, only just heard. I seek the truth of myths and truths to give my town.”

“You ask for truth, yet you accuse.” The king spoke.

“You seek protection, yet you lie.” Walla found bravery in her words.
