Chapter Chapter Thirty- Three
Walla stopped in the water; the water felt heated around her knees.
Crowe, Exel and Melana stood on the river’s edge, waiting for the next move.
Neither of the four knew what was going to happen next.
The three on the river’s edge watched as Walla reached down, she swayed her hand gently as the water stopped swaying.
Walla kept her eyes on the water as she waited, as everyone listened to the sounds of the nature.
The sun beamed down on all four of them, glistening on the water as they waited.
Exel called out “Mariana.”
Walla quickly rose her hand to hush him, Exel quickly silenced himself.
Something wasn’t right and they could sense it.
Walla knew Mariana would never make her wait; it was as if the invisible connection the two woman had was now gone.
She faced the ones on the river’s edge, Melana splashed her way into the water before wrapping her arms around Walla.
Walla allowed herself to cry into Melana’s arms.
