The Magic Drink

Chapter Poor Jamie

As they ran through the tunnel, the air pressure suddenly changed and mild winds blew.

“We are above the world! All I see is clouds!” Fraizer said.

“Do you see Jamie?” Eilish asked.

“There he is!” Fraizer announced and pointed to Jamie who was laying out in the middle of the clouds.

“Jamie?!” Eilish called.

“...don’t come closer...Eilish...” Jamie said.

Eilish was worried and asked, “What’ll happen if I come closer?”

“...just don’t get closer...my clothing...he ripped it...” Jamie said.

“So, you have no clothes on? Scotty is nasty!” Eilish said.

“...I’m injured...” Jamie said.

“How bad?” Eilish asked.

“...I’m bleeding...” Jamie said.

Eilish digs through her backpack, “Bandages? Got some! Here, Fraizer, use these on Jamie!” she handed a box of bandage strips to Fraizer.

Fraizer walked through the clouds to Jamie and said, “He’s going to need bandage wrap...”

Eilish removed her sweater and said, “Here, wrap him in this.”

“Thank you,” Fraizer said and used the sweater to wrap Jamie’s wounds.

“I’m calling the ambulance,” Eilish said.

“They can’t get up here, we are in the sky!” Fraizer said.

“Oh...” Eilish said.

“I’m not sure what to do; he has a large gash on his stomach!” Fraizer said.

“Wait! I know what to do!” Eilish said and pulled out her trumpet.

“How’s that going to help?” Fraizer asked.

“It can’t be much different from a piano,” Eilish said and played the same song Jamie used on her previously.

“Isn’t that the song that turns you into just a disk with a face on it?” Fraizer asked.

Eilish nodded her head.

“So why are you doing this?” Fraizer asked.

“It cured my sugar rush so maybe it will cure his tummy,” Eilish said.

“I see, but you remember how to reverse it right?” Fraizer asked.

Jamie transforms into a disk with a face on it.

“Yep!” Eilish said and played the song backwards.

Jamie transformed back into himself, a scar was left, but the cut was sealed.

“Thank you, Eilish!” Jamie cried out and tried to hug her.

“Jamie! You have no clothes on!” Eilish said, blushing.

Jamie backed up, wide-eyed and blushing from embarrassment.

“Don’t worry, it’s okay,” Eilish said.

“This is very embarrassing!” Jamie wailed and burst out crying.

“Would you feel better if I went out of the room?” Eilish asked.

“I’d feel better if my clothes weren’t shredded up and inside!” Jamie cried.

“I’m gonna get revenge...” Eilish said.

“What are you going to do?” Jamie asked.

Eilish thought for a minute and then said, “Um... I know! I’m 13! I’ll play endless pranks on Scotty until he has to go to jail!”

“...and then can I have a new outfit...?” Jamie asked.

“Let me go get you some clothes,” Eilish said and ran down the stairs, “Scotty!”

“He’s still unconscious,” Malcolm said.

“Do you know where his clean clothes are?” Eilish asked.

“Most likely in his bedroom,” Malcolm replied.

Malcolm’s kitten is scratching Scotty’s face up.

“Here, Malcolm, watch the kittens,” Eilish said and handed her backpack to Malcolm.

She ran into Scotty’s bedroom, and grabbed some clothes. Then she started running up the stairs.

“What are you doing with those clothes?” an obvious clone of Mungo asked.

“Giving them to my friend. Scotty shredded his clothes,” Eilish said and continued running.

“Alright, good luck!” Mungo Clone 1 said.

“Thank you!” Eilish said and ran faster up the stairs.

Eilish reached the tunnel.

“Finally! I’m back!” Eilish announced.

“Great,” Fraizer said.

Eilish showed him the clothes, “Look I got clothes!”

“Yay!” Jamie said from behind Fraizer.

Eilish set the clothes down and said, “I’m gonna be waiting downstairs with your surprises!”

She left and started running down the stairs. Jamie put on the clothing and went down the stairs with Fraizer. Eilish finally reached the bottom. Scotty’s face had a few scratches on it from Malcolm’s kitten.

“Malcolm? Have you decided what you’re gonna call your kitten?” Eilish asked.

“How does BlueBomb sound?” Malcolm asked.

“Awesome! May I please see my backpack?” Eilish asked.

Malcolm handed over the mewling bag of kittens. Eilish took out Jamie’s kitten and Fraizer’s kitten and her two kittens.

“Great,” she said and put the red collar on Jamie’s kitten and the green collar on Fraizer’s kitten, “Purrfect!” She laughed, “Get it? Purrfect!”

Jamie and Fraizer came down the stairs.

“Surprise!” Eilish said.

“Kitties!” Jamie said and smiled.

“Yep! Kitties!” Eilish said and smiled, “I got everyone kitties!”

“That’s very nice,” Fraizer said.

“Thank you, Eilish!” Jamie thanked her.

“What are you gonna call yours? Mine are Lupine and Ricky,” Eilish said.

“Is mine a boy or a girl?” Jamie asked.

Eilish checked the kitten and reported, “Boy.”

“Mine will be named Flammy,” Jamie said, “Because it rhymes with Jamie!”

“And what about mine?” Fraizer asked.

Eilish checked Fraizer’s kitten and reported, “Girl.”

“My cat’s name will be Willow,” Fraizer said.

“Great names!” Eilish said.

“What if Scotty wakes up and tries to hurt us?” Jamie asked.

“I’m calling the police,” Eilish said.

“Okay,” Jamie said nervously.

“I’m gonna drag him to the prison. Watch the kittens,” Eilish said and grabbed Scotty’s feet.

Jamie grabbed the kittens and said, “I’ll watch them.”

“I’ll be back. Thanks!” Eilish said and started dragging Scotty away, “Wow he’s heavy!”

The sun had already set and the moon and stars lit up the night.

Eilish sighed and said, “Great, it’s night. I hope I make it in time.”

The wind rustled the bushes and trees.

“I’m not scared. I’m not scared,” Eilish said.

She thought she saw two glowing red eyes in the bushes.

Eilish dragged Scotty faster and said, “I’m just seeing things.”

The bushes rustled louder.

Eilish started crying, “I’m scared.”

A dog burst out of the bushes.

The dog barked loudly, “Woof! Woof! Woof!”

Eilish smiled and said, “Hi, little doggie, you gave me quite a fright.”

The dog bit Scotty’s cape and tried to pull him away.

“No! That is mine! I need to put him in prison!” Eilish said.

The dog growled a bit.

Eilish was scared, she pulled on Scotty’s foot and said, “Give him back!”

The dog reluctantly released Scotty and barked, “Woof!”

“Good dog!” Eilish said and continued dragging Scotty.

The dog watched her leave.

“That could have been bad... Thank goodness it wasn’t!” Eilish said.
