The Magic Door

Chapter The Decision

The next two weeks went by and everyone liked Peter as who he was, not what he had done by killing the Crow but by his own personal self. Peter got some new clothes that fit his style more than just the red and brown pants. This time, he changed into newer clothes that look more royal than the other clothes. He was wearing a light blue shirt with a white vest and light brown pants with his black boots. Also, his sword is to be attached to the left side of his hip and his shield is on his back. During those two weeks, Peter learns more about the world of Zarlakarla and what creatures live there. He also learned that there are other places that haven’t been discovered like over the seas. He also learns some elf languages and dwarf as well. For Raine, she was resting up her wing as it was healing slowly from the crow attack. Today was the day that Queen Sofie and King Filly had a meeting about Peter and the door. Every elf was doing their own thing with the dwarves while the queen and king were talking. For Peter and Raine, they are in the same room, but sitting out of the conversation between Sofie and Filly.

“So you’re telling me that Peter here killed the Crow?” Filly asked, while Sofie nodded.

“Yes, he did. Now let’s get back to talking about Peter and the door.” Said Sofie as Filly huffed and slouched down in his chair with his arms crossed.

“Blimey! I want to hear about that fight between Peter and Crow.”

“You will later Filly now, Peter, and the door is more important!” Sofie’s voice booms in the room and Filly looks at her with some fear.

“Alright, but how can we find the door that is clearly gone and what about Peter? He is now a knight of Zarlakarla. What else do you think we should do for him, hmm?” Filly said with a huff, while Sofie hummed and looked over at Peter as Peter was sitting in his chair with eyes closed.

“Maybe we should ask her about Peter.” Sofie said softly, for only she and Filly could only hear.

“What?! You mean you want to ask the high queen of the skys for this? She might just roast that poor boy alive!” Said Filly with worry and fear, while Sofie kept on looking at Peter that still had his eyes closed.

“I know, but she knew the first man before any of this ever occurred to us. Now please Filly, I know how you like that boy, so do I. But if he is the one, he must meet her someday when the time comes. Plus, think about what Draken might do if he tried to go against Peter. That sword you gave to him chose him because I saw it glow blue and you know what that means.” Sofie told Filly as Filly’s eyes went wide.

“Did you say it glowed blue?” Asked Filly, while Sofie nodded. “Well, bless my beard! Maybe he should see her.”

“Now you see what I am trying to tell you. Now do we agree we sent him off when the time has come when the sky creatures come back from overseas from the nesting grounds?” Sofie asked while Filly smiled and nodded. “Then it’s settled then.”

“But that is about a whole year. What should Peter do then? Go on quests?” Filly asked as Raine was listening to the whole thing. She stood up and walked over while Peter still had his eyes closed.

“May I say something?” Raine asked as both Sofie and Filly looked at Raine and did a nod. “Maybe he could go on quests and adventures? I have seen something in Peter like you two have seen it as well in him. He might be the one, but let’s have our world see if he is the one or not. Also, this might weaken Draken’s power by Peter getting stronger on quests and going on adventures.”

“I have to agree with Raine here, but let’s see what Peter wants to do, remember we can not force him to do anything.” Sofie said while Raine smiled and nodded and Filly smirked and huffed. Peter was dreaming about his friends and family, wondering what they were doing or wondering if they found his house empty without him in there. He also dreamed about Zarlakarla, how there are elves and dwarves gathering and having fun. Plus some other creatures that he has seen, like Zimcat aka the Chinramons and the unicorn. Now thinking about the unicorn, he can sense the unicorn somewhere like it was calling to him. Before he could go deeper into his dream, someone shook him a little and he open his eyes a little than blinked once as he saw Raine stood in front of him with a smile.

“Oh, hi Raine. Is the meeting over?” Asked Peter while rubbing his eyes and did a little stretch.

“Yes, but they want to ask you a question, if you don’t mind.” Raine told Peter, while he nodded.Peter stood up from his chair and walked over to Sofie and Filly. Once he got there, both of them looked at Peter with smiles on their faces. Peter could tell they have something in their mind, so he stood there with his hands behind his back. Sofie steps forward with her hands clasped in front of her as she smiles softly at Peter.

“We talked and we don’t know how to get the door, but there are some opportunities for you here in Zarlakarla.” Said Sofie while Filly stood next to her.

“You can go on quests or adventures if you want to till the door comes back.” Filly told Peter.Peter was quiet for a little as he was thinking about what they were saying. There are two things that were going inside his head. One big dream is coming true going on adventures and going on quests, the second happens if the door will not come back and he is stuck here forever which he does not mind but he misses his family and friends. Taking a deep breath in and letting it out, then smiling and nodding.

“I will do it. So when do I get to start?” Peter asked, while both Filly and Sofie smiled at his answer.

“Tomorrow you will start.” Sofie told him.
