The Lycan’s Regret – Chasing his rejected Luna by MN. Kaur

Chapter 12

Chapter 12

“What..what do you mean by dying?” Xylia abruptly stood up and her accusing yet stuttering tone made Dr Regina sigh.

“Xylia, look..”

“My son is not dying…” She yelled and Dr Regina also got up before hurrying to her side.

“Xylia, Calm down please. Someone might hear you. We don’t want anyone to hear us, right?” She rubbed Xylia’s back, who gave her an accusing look. She was breathing fast and panicking in an ugly manner. Tears formed in her eyes as she thought about his little son

“Xylia, you have to calm down before listening to me. I want you to put yourself together, alright. You are the mother of the Lycan heir, Thunder lockheed and you hold the power to make him good. Listen to me well, Honey.”

Xylia swallowed hard as she clutched Dr Regina’s hand. “Is my son fine? What happened to him, Dr Regina? Please tell me. I would do anything and everything to save him. He is my only family. Please save him.” She

sobbed.

Dr Regina felt sympathy for the little girl and her fate. Since childhood she had been suffering from bad omens in her life. First, her parents who always used her and abandoned her at her worst and now when she has a new blessing, her own blood, the moon Goddess is twirling her life back to hard roads.

“Yes, that’s why I call you here. Wipe your tears, Xylia. I can’t discuss it until you listen to me with your sanity, not emotions.” Xylia inhaled a deep breath and nodded.

Dr Regina walked back to her seat and slid the report file to Xylia who sat on the chair and slowly grabbed it and opened it.

“Thunder had developed a lethal chronic disease which is very very rare in werewolves. It’s been years since I found this disease in anyone. Normally, human beings can’t tolerate it and they easily die when the infection attacks their blood in the first stage. But Thunder had been enduting it for more than three years. Because he has the powerful genes of his father. But it doesn’t mean it won’t affect him further.”

With every word Dr Regina was saying, Xylia’s heartbeat was slowing down. She fisted her hands tightly. How can her baby be infected with this killing disease? She couldn’t accept it.

“He is merely holding it as the minimum immunity in him has been fighting the infected blood. But if we don’t cure it anytime soon, then it might disable Thunder in some way soon.”

Xylia looked at her stunned. “What do you mean? It’s been only a few days that he has been showing symptoms like throwing up and sometimes fainting. How could he develop this disease for such a long time? And he will become disabled! Dr, Are you sure these reports are my son’s?” Xylia asked not believing any of the things she said

Dr Regina sighed and nodded. She turned the screen of her opened laptop towards Xylia and explained it to her. The full body scan on the screen was Thunder’s. “I’m not saying any physical disability but the interior one. Thunder is perfectly fine but his blood. It has a virus, Xylia.” Dr Regina showed her the overview of blood cells, pointing at the screen.

“Around seventy percent of his blood is infected by this disease. It has mixed up in his blood which is circulating his whole body, now you can see what it means. I couldn’t ascertain when and where he got it in his system but it seems like either he had it in your stomach when you were pregnant in the early stage or someone injected him with this lethal dose. And both of these possibilities are unfathomable to me. Supernatural seldom fights this kind of chronic disease for a long time but Thunder is brave.”

Xylia covered her mouth with her hand and squeezed her eyes crying silently.

“I.. I can’t believe he has been suffering from this. Who would want to hurt him, we have no enemies. Dr Regina, please do something. Is there any way we can cure this disease? I can’t lose Thunder.” Xylia implored her. She couldn’t decipher how this disease entered her child. Nobody would dare to do this evil to him.

Or someone from the Lunar guardian did that to her when she was there. Someone who conspired against her

and wanted to kill her unborn child?

Her mind again attracted her attention to her first trimester. Her pregnancy was very hard, which also changed. her body but she didn’t show the symptoms like Thunder’s. Hansley took good care of her and she loves her and Thunder like her own.

She couldn’t pinpoint what could cause this infection or it was genetic. Numerous pessimistic thoughts plagued her mind making her insane but Dr Regina’s voice pulled her out of her daze.

“That’s why I told you to tell Theodore about Thunder, Xylia. I know it would be very hard for you to do this, but nothing is more important than Thunder’s safety, right?” Dr Regina nodded at her.

“What does it have to do with Theodore? We can find the solution, I have my sources…”

“Xylia…” Dr Regina inhaled a deep breath, interrupting her. “Nothing and no one can do anything in this except his own father whose blood Thunder has!” She stated firmly. Xylia blinked her eyes as she looked at the Doctor with a thudding heart.

“What…what do you mean by this? Is this genetic or…?” She dared to ask.

“No! As far as I know, No Lockheed has any history of this infection.” Dr Regina shook her head.

“But what I’m trying to say to you is that Thunder needs Theodore’s blood if you want him to survive and possibly cure him. This will be our first step to start the healing process of Thunder, Xylia. After that, I need to study further and we need Theodore’s support in everything. There is no other way than this to save your child!”

Xylia openly gaped at her and shook her head frantically. “This.. is not possible. He.. He… how will I ask him for that? Why can’t I just give him my blood? He is my child too.” She cried out. Everything turned out complicated

for her.

Because you are human, not a powerful creature and Theodore Lockheed is not only his biological father but the Lycan king too, Xylia. Think about it.”

Xylia slumped her shoulders and closed her eyes. The fear of losing Thunder to her husband was not enough, now the raw fear of losing her child to death penetrated deep into her heart. She sniffed and wiped her tears. She needed to do something and soon too.

She nodded and blew a big sigh, not giving up on her son.

“How… How long can he stay up? I mean, how much time do I have..” she asked the question which burned her

tongue.

“A few days, like around a month or so. But I’m alerting you Xylia, this disease is slowly eating his strengths, it will consume Thunder fully if we don’t do anything. Don’t be late. I would suggest you

talk to your husband very

soon.”
