The Lycan’s King Breeder

Chapter 63

Felicity

POV.

As we stood frozen in fear and uncertainty, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. Adrian and I looked at each other, unsure of what to do next.

Suddenly, Kyle and Ava burst into the room, followed by the other agents. They all looked just as scared and confused as we did.

"What's going on?" Ava asked, looking around the room.

"We don't know," I replied, my voice shaking with fear. "We heard an explosion, and we're not sure where it came from."

As we all huddled together, trying to figure out what was happening, we heard a voice over the intercom.

"L.O.J team, this is Agent Kim. There has been a chemical experiment gone wrong in the research lab. Please evacuate the area immediately."

A collective sigh of relief went through the group. It wasn't a danger. It was just a chemical experiment gone wrong.

Adrian turned to me. "Come on, Feli. Let's go back to the lab and try to figure this out. We can do this."

I hesitated for a moment, but then nodded in agreement. We had come too far to give up now.

As we walked back to the lab, we discussed different theories and ideas about how to decipher the book. I started to regain some of my confidence, thanks to Adrian's encouragement. Finally, we managed to decipher one of the diagrams, and Adrian turned to me with excitement in his eyes.

"Feli, look!" he said, pointing to the diagram on the page. "I think I've figured it out."

I leaned in to get a better look, and my eyes widened in amazement. "You're right!" I exclaimed. "That's amazing, Adrian."

We high-fived each other, our hands hitting each other's palms with force. It was an old tradition between us. In fact since we started to sympathize.

We were both grinning from ear to ear, feeling a sense of triumph and happiness. We had managed to decipher one of the diagrams in the book, and it was a huge accomplishment.

From there on, we worked tirelessly, deciphering some diagrams and theory with ease. It was like watching a puzzle fall into place. With each diagram, we grew more and more excited, seeing the story come to life before our very eyes.

As we worked together, Adrian would explain each diagram to me in detail, letting me in on his thought process and ideas. I felt like I was learning so much from him, not just about the book, but about how to approach problems and ideas. Together, we were a great team, and I felt grateful to have him by my side. As we finally decoded the last diagram, we looked at each other in amazement.

"We did it," Adrian said, holding up the book with excitement.

I couldn't help but feel proud of what we had accomplished. It was a true testament to our perseverance and determination.

As we closed the book, ready to share our accomplishment with the rest of the team, I knew that no matter what challenges we faced in the future, we could always count on each other.

"Okay, let's go through everything we found," I said to them, feeling a sense of urgency. "We need to piece together what we know and see if we can figure out who killed our parents."

Kyle nodded, his eyes focused on the book. "Right. So, we know that our parents' names were Lily and Jack Monroe. They were working on a big project."

I nodded, my mind racing with possibilities. "And we also know that something went wrong with the project, and our parents were killed to keep the information from getting out." "Exactly," Adrian said, flipping through the pages of the book. "But look at this diagram. It shows a connection between your parents and a man named Robert Jacobs." "Who's Robert Jacobs?" I asked, feeling a sense of unease.

Ava looked up at me, her expression serious. "He was one of the agents who worked on the project with your parents. But he disappeared shortly after they died. They were with us for about a year after your parents died, then he disappeared and we never heard from him again.."

My heart sank at the realization. Could Robert Jacobs be the one who killed our parents? And if so, why?

"We need to find out everything we can about Robert Jacobs," I said, my voice firm. "We need to know if he's still alive and if he had anything to do with our parents' deaths.

Adrian nodded in agreement. "I'll start digging into his background and see what I can find. In the meantime, we need to be careful. If someone killed your parents to keep the information from getting out, they might come after us next."

I felt a chill run down my spine at the thought. But I knew that we couldn't back down now. We had come too far to let fear stop us.

"Okay," I said, taking a deep breath. "Let's do this. Let's find out the truth about our parents' deaths."

Adrian smiled at me, his eyes shining with determination. "We will. We'll do this together."

And with that, we closed the book and set off on our quest to uncover the truth. It wouldn't be easy, but we were ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.

Despite everything, I was not satisfied, we had just made a little progress, and when I even said that, it was just to say if not we had found almost nothing, but, we should not give up.

Kyle called out to me" Feli! Take a look at this diagram and these words."

I approached, took the book and saw what it showed me, the diagram and the words explained that Alpha Zarek had an affair with a certain Alpha Melezo.

"Do you know him? I mean Alpha Melezo?" I asked to Kyle.

"No! I never heard of him." He answered.

I shook my head, feeling frustrated. It seemed like every lead we had only brought up more questions than answers.

"We need to think outside the box," Ava suggested. "Maybe we should try contacting other agents who worked with your parents. See if they know anything about Robert Jacobs, or if they can shed some light on the project they were working on." "That's a good idea," I agreed. "Kyle, can you start looking up the names of other agents who were on the project with our parents? We'll contact them and see if we can get any information."

Kyle nodded, his fingers already typing away on his laptop. Ava pulled out a notebook and began scribbling down ideas and information.

As we worked together, I couldn't help but feel grateful for their support. With their help, I was sure we would uncover the truth behind my parents' deaths and finally have some closure.

I watched as my baby tossed and turned in the treatment room, his little body wracked with illness. I felt helpless, like there was nothing I could do to help him. Everything we tried seemed to fail.

"He's not getting any better," I said, tears streaming down my face. "What are we going to do?"

Adrian placed a hand on my shoulder, trying to comfort me. "We'll find a way, Feli," he said. "We won't give up."

"Exactly," Adrian said, flipping through the pages of the book. "But look at this diagram. It shows a connection between your parents and a man named Robert Jacobs."

Kyle nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we'll do whatever it takes to get him better."

But as the night progressed, my baby's condition only worsened. By morning, we found rashes all over his body, and his tongue had become red and swollen. It was clear that this wasn't just a simple fever. It was something much more serious. Nobody had seen this kind of illness before, and we had no idea how to cure it.

As I walked into the treatment room, my heart sank at the sight of my baby lying on the bed, covered in rashes. His tongue was red and swollen, his feet and hands were swollen, and he looked so helpless. I could feel tears welling up in my eyes as I was told that my little one was suffering from a rare disease, which only affected those born in bad weather conditions.

I moved closer to my baby and gently stroked his head. "My poor angel," I whispered, "Mommy is here and she's not going anywhere."

The girl in the treatment room, who was probably in her late twenties, approached me Molly, "I'm sorry to say this, but your baby's condition is serious. He only has one day left to live."

I was stunned, and my heart broke into a million pieces. "No, that can't be true," I said, choking on my tears. "Please tell me there's something you can do."

The girl shook her head and said, "I'm sorry. We've done everything we can, but this disease is rare, and unfortunately, we don't have a cure for it."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. All hope seemed lost, and I felt like my world was falling apart. "Please, there must be something you can do," I pleaded.

The girl looked at me with sympathy and said, "I do not think so."

I was inconsolable Molly, Kyle, Adrian and Ava tried to comfort me. I couldn't believe that my baby was going to die, and the guilt of knowing that my life as a fugitive had caused his illness was overwhelming.

"We need to find a cure," I said, desperation creeping into my voice.

Adrian, Kyle, and I huddled together, discussing what we could do. That's when we heard about a rare flower that could cure the disease. Silvershield Aurora Despo, it was called.

I seen the picture, It was a beautiful flower, with petals as silver as the moonlight. And Kim told us that the scent was sweet and intoxicating.

"It only exists in a rare forest in an unknown, dangerous territory," Adrian said, looking at me with worry in his eyes. "But we have no choice. We have to try!"

I nodded, my heart heavy with worry. "We have to do whatever it takes to save him."

As we gathered our things, ready to leave, other agents began to gather around us. They knew what was happening and came to cheer us on, offering their support and encouragement. "You can do this, guys," Agent Brown said, clapping Kyle on the back. "We all believe in you."

Agent Kim placed a hand on my shoulder. "Take care, and be safe out there. We're counting on you."

Ava looked at me, her expression filled with worry. "Feli, are you sure you're up for this?"

I nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over me. "I have to do this for my baby," I said, my eyes filled with tears. "I have to save him."

With that, we left, my baby burning in my arms, I just hoped I could save him, I prayed to the moon goddess to help us.

I swore to myself that if I were to lose Phoenix, I would never forgive Maximus. Never.
