Chapter 27
Felicity POV.
"But there is one condition," Alpha Zarek added, his voice turning grave.
"What condition?" I asked, my heart pounding in my chest.
"You must mate with me and bear me a strong heir," he stated, his eyes darkening with desire.
My hope dissipated as quickly as it had come, replaced by anger and disgust. I tried to get up from the bed, but his hand held me back.
"Alpha Zarek, I cannot do that. I'm not willing to bear a child for you, and besides, I'm pregnant" I said, my voice shaking with determination. What did they all have to want me to bear their heir?
He leaned closer, his face inches away from mine. "You don't have a choice, Victoria. You're in my territory now, and I have the power over you," he whispered, his breath hot against my skin.
I spat in his face before he could kiss me, furious with his arrogance. "I'll never mate with you, Alpha. You can kill me, but you'll never touch me," I hissed, struggling to free myself from his grasp. But he was stronger than I was, and he pulled me closer, his eyes blazing with fury. "You'll learn to obey me, Victoria. One way or another," he growled.
"I can't bear your heir, I'm pregnant," I repeated, trying to make him understand.
But instead, he let out a sinister chuckle and whispered, "Who said you're gonna carry my child now? You're going to give birth first, and then the two of us will pull out that bastard that's in your womb." My heart dropped as his words sank in. He planned to kill my baby, the innocent soul growing inside of me. I felt sick to my stomach and tears streamed down my face.
"How could you even think of doing such a thing?" I sobbed, trying to pull away from him once again.
But he only held me tighter, his expression cold and unmoving. "It's my right as the Alpha," he replied, his voice unyielding.
My heart sank at his words. Was he really suggesting that I terminate my pregnancy just so he could impregnate me with his child?
Tears filled my eyes as I realized the depth of his cruelty. How could he be so callous about the life growing within me?
Tears filled my eyes as I realized the depth of his cruelty. How could he be so callous about the life growing within me?
"You're a monster," I whispered, struggling to keep my composure despite the fear and anger coursing through me.
He merely shrugged, his expression cold and indifferent. "I'm an Alpha, Victoria. And I will ensure the survival of my pack, no matter the cost."
I wanted to scream at him, to fight back with every ounce of strength I possessed. But deep down I knew that he held all the power in this situation. I was trapped, a pawn in his twisted game of dominance.
As he released his grip on me, I stumbled backwards, my body trembling with anger and despair. It was clear that I had no choice but to bide my time, to wait for an opportunity to escape his clutches.
I couldn't believe this was happening to me. I never asked for this, never wanted this life. All I wanted was to find a place where I belonged, where I could raise my child in peace.
But now, I was trapped in his territory, at his mercy. And I feared for the safety of not only myself, but my unborn child as well.
But as I clasped my hands over my stomach, I knew that I would do everything in my power to protect the precious life growing inside of me. No matter what it took. "Take her to a cell," he ordered, his voice cold and calculating.
I looked up at him with a mixture of fear and hate. "Please, don't do this," I pleaded, my voice barely above a whisper.
But he just sneered at me, his eyes flickering with amusement. "You have no say in this. You belong to me now."
Tears welled up in my eyes as two guards approached me, their hands reaching out to grab me. I resisted, kicking and screaming, but they overpowered me easily.
"Let me go!" I screamed, struggling against their grip. "Please, I haven't done anything wrong!"
But no one was listening. They dragged me down a dark corridor, my heart pounding in my chest. I wondered what would become of me, of my child.
I was thrown into a cramped, cold, dark cell, the metallic walls closing in on me. The only light was a small, flickering bulb hanging from the ceiling.
The door creaked shut, and the Alpha stood before me, a twisted smile playing on his lips.
"Now, Victoria, you will stay in this cell until you fall in love with me," he said, his voice laced with malice.
My eyes widened in horror. How could he even suggest such a thing? I wanted to scream, to lash out at him with all my might, but I knew better than to provoke him. "What? That's ridiculous! I will never fall in love with you!" I protested, my voice cracking with fear.
He walked closer, his eyes darkening with anger. "You will, Victoria. You will because you have no other choice."
Tears streamed down my face as I pleaded with him to let me go, to show some mercy. But he merely laughed, his grip on me tightening.
"You can end this all, Victoria. All you have to do is convince me that you love me, that you want me. And then, I'll let you go," he said, his voice dripping with false kindness.
My heart sank at his words. I knew it was impossible for me to ever love him, to ever feel anything but disgust towards him. And yet, the safety of my child depended on me convincing him otherwise. "I'll try," I whispered, my voice shaking with despair.
He nodded, his eyes glimmering with triumph. "Good. Because if you fail, well, you know what will happen," he said, gesturing towards my stomach.
I shuddered at his words, my worst fears coming true. I prayed that I would find a way out of this nightmare, a way to protect my precious child from the cruelty of this person with manic depression Alpha. But as the door slammed shut, I knew that my fate lay in his hands. And that I would do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of my child, no matter how hard it may be.
I sank to the ground, feeling defeated and helpless.
