Chapter 22 Hoard Liquor
"You are Conrad Porter, right?" The man asked directly.
"Yes, who are you?"
"I am the customer of Ms. Austin. She says you sell nice liquor?"
"What do you get?" The man asked in a domineering tone, making Conrad a bit annoyed.
Conrad browsed the liquor section on the app and ranked them from high to low price. Then he said, "I have all kinds of liquor and wine as much as you want."
"Do you have Chinese Maotai aged 50 years?"
"Sorry, no." Conrad denied.
"You don't even have aged Maotai with 50 years? What the hell?" The man seemed to be irritated.
"I don't have that cheap shit! I only sell Maotai aged 80 years at least. Besides, I have all kinds of limited-edition aged liquor worth tens of thousands. I would like to know if you can afford it." Conrad replied. "80 years?! Really!" The man was stunned. His arrogant voice seemed to soften immediately.
"Just come to the Apartment No. 101 of the Building No.5 located at the Jadeite Garden Community." Conrad then hung up the phone. He hated those customers who spoke in an aggressive tone. Since the aged liquor always gained favor in the market, he was sure he would attract a lot of customers.
Conrad drove back to the community and noticed that Amara had placed all the beddings and home appliances properly. And now she was cleaning the apartments on the first floor.
The sunlight fell on her from the window, who was still busy cleaning, looking like a virtuous housewife.
'Well, she does a good job. But she still needs to spruce herself. It seems that I have to buy her some nice suits tonight.' Conrad thought to himself.
"Oh, Mr. Porter, welcome back!" Amara immediately put down the broom and bowed to him with respect.
"Don't be so formal. Just relax." Conrad looked at the nice and clean apartment. He nodded with satisfaction, "You did a good job. Just take a rest if you are tired. Oh, by the way, I will take you to a place tonight."
"Okay." Amara nodded. Actually, she was a bit excited to where Conrad was going to take her to.
Conrad went to the Apartment 101 and decided to make it the office as it was convenient on the first floor. Since that man said he would come to get some liquor, Conrad started to browse the aged liquor on the app.
Maotai (Aged 80 years), Original Price: 67000, Discounted Price: 0.9! Wuliangye (Aged 60 years), Original Price: 29000, Discounted Price: 0.8! National Pits 1573 Caesar, Original Price: 21000, Discounted Price: 0.76! Wuliangye (Aged 50 years), Original Price: 13000, Discounted Price: 0.71! National Pits 1573 Windsor, Original Price: 18000, Discounted Price: 0.6! Swellfun 1916 Classic, Original Price: 20000, Discounted Price: 0.65!
All the aged liquors were wrapped in old-fashion covers and they all valued a lot. Conrad could tell he would sell them with nice price. So he bought 30 bottles for each kind of liquor and placed them in the bedroom.
However, Conrad was aware that those kinds of liquor could still be commonly seen in the market thought they were expensive. He still needed some of the best high-end aged liquor for collection in his office. So he tried to browse if he could get some on the app. As expected, he found some of them.
Wuliangye Commemorative Limited Edition (No. 0027), Original Price: 700,000, Discounted Price: 0.9!
Wuliangye Commemorative Limited Edition (No. 0029), Original Price: 700,000, Discounted Price: 0.9!
They were both rare aged liquor with unique number. And they were the only remaining stocks on the app. So Conrad bought them both.
These were the best aged liquor for those prestigious tycoons. If some of his customers wanted to buy them, Conrad would just sell them with the original price as he hated to be a profiteer.
Soon, he got a call. He was told by the guard that a rich guy driving Benz was coming to meet him.
"Alright, let him in." Conrad could tell that he must be the customer for liquor.
Then the doorbell rang. Conrad walked to open the door. It was a middle-aged man with old-fashion slicked back hair and classic pattern shirt, like a gentleman from the last century. "You are Conrad Porter?" The man asked.
"Yes, who's your name?" Conrad asked.
"My name is Kim Kirk." Kim walked in and looked around, "Where are the liquors? You just store all of them in your apartment?"
Commonly speaking, there should be a liquor shop on the street. Kim deemed it quite abnormal to sell aged liquor in an apartment. He was still worried if Conrad was selling the fake one. "Come in, I placed them in the bedroom and you can just see them yourself." Conrad led him into the bedroom and pointed at the aged liquors on the ground and bed.
"Shit! You do have some nice stash! Maotai, Wuliangye, National Pit 1573..."
Kim gasped. It seemed that those aged liquors had gone beyond his expectation. He then walked over to scrutinize some of them.
He knew something about the liquor so he deemed that they seemed to be authentic. However, the aged liquor had no anti-counterfeit label and there were too many fake ones in the market. So he still doubted.
"Do you have a license? How are you going to guarantee they are all authentic?" Kim asked.
"I haven't had time to get a license. If you want to know if they are authentic, you can just taste it." Conrad then took a bottle of liquor that Kim wanted to buy. And he opened it for him to test.
