Well, that night went to shit real fast..the only redeeming factor had to be when I found out Mila punched Chloe in the face. I couldn’t f*****g believe it..Mila is a lover and not a fighter through and through..so hearing this..it turned me on like crazy. She didn’t tell me exactly what Chloe said because she didn’t want me to feel bad, but I can use my imagination.

“Don’t say that out loud..you know Bain would be tempted to test that theory.” I grumbled, feeling Bain’s tail wagging in approval as he imagined chasing Mila through the woods and hunting her like his delicious little prey..f*****g animal..

“He..he reminds me of someone. The feeling I get when I see him and even his smile. He reminds me of the rogue king.” She finally spat out and my jaw clenched. Memories of what that Rogue bastard said flashed through my mind…now that I looked back..it was almost like he knew who Mila was..the things he said and how badly he wanted her. Was it possible he told other people? That thought made my stomach drop..

Then the recent information my Dad and Elder Nicolas shared with me surfaced. The so-called Rogue King did have a brother..and no one knows where he is..no f*****g way..that can’t be it can it? What are the f*****g chances?

“What is it Rowan?” Mila asked, her eyes filled with worry and I realized I hadn’t spoken in a few minutes.

F**k, should I tell her about this? I promised not to keep things from her anymore..it might be best she knows to keep her safe. We promised not to keep each other in the dark..and I feel guilty enough knowing about who she really is without telling her. I just don’t want to keep adding to that shit.

“Mila, before we left on our trip I had that meeting with my dad and Elder Nicolas. There was more information recovered about that previous Rogue. There is a rumor that his brother is out for revenge. I didn’t want to worry you..” I trailed off, feeling wrong for keeping her out of the loop, but I know she has so much on her plate already lately.

“Do you think..could Alpha Ozzy be his brother?!” She gasped, searching my eyes as the idea hung between us.

F**k..I hope the hell not, because if he is..we essentially gave the enemy access to us willingly.

“There is one way we can check. If we get a DNA sample we can try to match it with the rogues.” I sighed, pulling Mila into me as she let out a sigh of her own.

“I don’t want you alone with that man Rowan. Promise me you never will be..” She blurted, her voice full of emotion as she latched onto me. I could feel her concern through our bond..she was scared..she was afraid what happened before could happen again.

“I won’t let anything happen to me..I swear baby..nothing can break us apart. I promise.” I kissed the side of her face, a desperation to have her as close as possible engulfed my very soul as I lifted her up and slid her bathing suit bottoms to the side.
