The Luna’s Hidden Destiny – Chapter 64
(Lottie)
I have been smelling the weirdest scent all day, basil and mint. The scent woke my a*s up with each breath I took. My wolf Nala was going insane..shit…I can’t deal with this right now. I just got back and I already knew he was here…I already knew I would meet my mate but I had to build up the courage to reject him. The mere thought wounded Nala, but I didn’t want this life…I didn’t want to be tied down to one man..to be forced to give him pups and be the doting mate. I had dreams, aspirations, and goals in life. I wanted to travel and see the world.
“Where’s Blake been? I haven’t seen him once.” I asked my mom, Blake and I had an interesting relationship. He was like my best friend slash brother. Considering he was Tristan’s best friend he was always there for me..even if he annoyed the shit out of me. But that was our friendship. I felt slightly disappointed when he wasn’t at the airport with Tristan came to pick us up. I had been anxious since the moment I got here but I knew once I saw him it would help.
Apparently, he and Mila are pretty close, I don’t know why, but the thought of it made me jealous. Thinking of him joking around with her and being protective. I won’t lie though, I can see why. That girl is something else, the complete opposite of what I thought she would be. She seems so timid and soft-spoken, I can tell she doesn’t have a single malicious bone in her body. Maybe that’s why Rowan is so protective…I honestly thought he would have chosen his mate so I was shocked to hear from Laura that he found his chosen mate from the moon goddess. His usual type was always the fake-a*s girls who pretended to be nice but were true bitches behind his back. They usually had caked-on makeup and were way too high maintenance. Mila was the complete opposite..she was a natural beauty. To be honest I was slightly blown away by her looks when I first saw her, those glowing eyes and luscious wavy brown hair…I need to ask what shampoo she uses.
We got along right away though, I think she needs a little Lottie in her life. Someone to show her how to get a backbone. Rowan controls everything she does..so far Laura has called me a few times, complaining about how he doesn’t even let the family see her.
Such a prick..typical Alpha male caveman mentality.
I was just cleaning off the counter when that scent hit me once more..this time closer..much much closer. Nala jumped up and down inside of me, her crazy a*s going wild as panic began to fill me..shit…
But then Blake stepped into the doorway..but..it wasn’t Blake..it wasn’t him at all..it was
‘Mate’
Nala shouted, startling me as Blake spoke right at the same time.
“Well, shit…MATE.” he growled and I slammed my hand over my mouth, fighting not to say the word out loud.
My mom said something and Laura did too..but all I could do was back up..why him..anyone but him..oh goddess.
Rowan took him out of the kitchen and I instantly slumped to the floor.
‘Mate, go to mate now!’
Nala growled at me and I shook my head softly.
“Lottie, are you okay? Say something, Lottie.” My mom said, shaking my shoulder as my wide eyes met her tearful ones.
“Why him Mom..anyone but him..” I whispered..because right at that moment I knew I was f****d..there was no way in hell I could reject Blake…
