Chapter 21
~ Lucy and Hunter ~
“Whoever it was they are gone.”
“Um…Hunter,” Lucy squeaked as she looked down at his’s hand that was still tightly gripping her arm. “Your pressing against my wound.
“Oh sorry,” He said, swiftly pulling his’s hand away.
“It’s fine, so since it seems like we might have an intruder lurking on the castle grounds, I am guessing. We can start training early and I can help get Rose back now?” She suggested rubbing her arm.
“Yes and no if we are taking the fight to Raven you need to learn some basic, but helpful spells and fighting stances, no offense.”
“None taking, I am slowly learning I can’t always just use my fists in every battle.”
“Good, I must say I’m a little jealous of how much quicker you are picking up these lessons than I did.”
“Aw, don’t be jelly Hunter we all can’t be as awesome as I am,” She declared, sticking her tongue out as she enter the gym.
💖
“Ok usually royals don’t learn all three of these in one day, but we are working on a deadline, so today I need a focus, listening Lucy to learn teleporting, how to use your kingdom’s special spell, and how to summon nature to help you in battle.”
“Awesome, but why don’t we add a painful spell that will mark up the witches’ skin.”
“Stop, thinking like that, thoughts like that will mess with your focus,” Hunter demanded lightly shaking her, while her eyes flick back to normal.
“Sorry, I’m just turning my worry about Rose into anger.”
“I understand that but focus all that energy on learning these strategies to better help her.”
“Ok, I will.”
“Good so teleporting is the most helpful out of the spells so let’s start with that. With teleportation, you want to focus everything on where you want to appear so clear your mind and take your time,” He announced as he appeared across the room.
Lucy closes her eyes as she tries to get her thoughts to stop filling her with worry.
“I never heard you be this quiet, also good job,” He laughed while turning around, and feeling someone tapping him on the shoulder.
“I was focusing, you “jerk.”
He chuckled, “I know I am proud of you for doing that. The nice thing about teleportation as you probably notice while you did it, it is pretty easy if you got enough energy, is focusing on your destination.
“Ok, got it.” She said.
“Next, you shouldn’t do this right now because you should keep your transformation for the fight, but your kingdom’s special spell is Heart Attack. Just like Ella and I, you and Rose have the same special power that your’s gems allow you to unlock. Keep this in your mind that, when you both cast it at the same time it increased the time limit of the spell. For example, if Ella and I combined our special spell Shooting Stars we will be able to strike our opponent miles away instead of from the same area by ourselves.” Your spell Heart Attack allows you to knock out your opponent for at least two hours. To do the spell successfully you need to be transformed in your royal mode and have at least 50% of physical energy and of mana.”
“Got it, but how do you know the percent of each energy?”
“Your body naturally can tell or you can learn how to read your health levels.”
“Oh, cool!”
“Ok we are almost done; however, we do not have time for you to do every spell let’s hope you picked them up quickly, anyway this last one is very dangerous; since nature is unpredictable, so if you lose your focus you could injure yourself.”
“Wow, no pressure,” Lucy added.
“I know right, just like teleporting clear your head and focus on what element of nature you want to use and what you need it to do.”
She focuses on making vines sprout out from underneath the windows.
“Good, keep focusing until you feel whatever you are trying to summon form.”
Don’t screw this up, Lucy.
“Yeah, don’t lose your focus on summoning vines…you know what else includes vines, Roses—”
“Get out of my head!”
“When will you learn Lucy, I am always in your head you can try to get rid of me, but you never can I am created by your deepest emotions, anger, fear, and even love sometimes. About love I wonder how Rose is doing…she might be gone by now with how much time you are wasting learning these spells.” Dark Lucy mocked.
“How dare you! She is my family, not yours!”
“Shit!” Lucy yelled, getting out of her head as giants, thorny vines sprout right where her foot was.
“Whoa, watch out!” Hunter shouted, slicing the vine that was going after her.
“I’m fine, I can handle it!” She yelled out.
“Oh, “sure” you look like you were handling it “perfectly.”
“I know I screw up let me fix I—”
“Lucy!” He called out as a vine swatted at her, making her crash into the wall.
“Ugh!” I didn’t think vines would hurt so much.” Lucy groaned sliding down the wall.
“Well, usually they don’t, but by losing your focus you made them a tad too big and pointy.”
“I get it I mess up you can stop throwing it in my face,” She pointed out as her face twisted in pain.
“I wasn’t trying to you just, well you worry me,” He stated pulling up Lucy’s shirt workout shirt. “Ouch, you got multiple thorns in your wound.”
“That’s “great,” She said, clenching her teeth as he quickly pulled the thorns out.
💖
“I know I don’t say this enough but I appreciate you, and I hope fixing my mess didn’t drain you.”
“Hey, we are a team now and teammates help each other out, also I just need to get an energy potion, some fluids in me, and I would be good. You on the other hand need to rest, while we figure out our plan to get Rose back. We shouldn’t go into this blind.”
“I will rest right after I change out of these sweaty, ruin clothes.”
“Ok, be careful with your injury.”
