Chapter 350
350: STANDING UP TO POWER
ARIEL’S POV
After I left my car, I marched determinedly towards Simon’s house, my heart pounding with righteous anger. Every step I took was fueled by the burning desire to confront the ones responsible for tearing apart my family’s legacy.
I reached the imposing ga; I hesitated for a moment, steeling myself for what lay ahead. With a deep breath, I pushed the gate open and stepped onto the path leading to the front door.
My hand trembled slightly as I raised it to knock on the door. The sound echoed through
the silent neighborhood, a stark contrast to the turmoil raging within me. Seconds felt like an eternity as I waited for someone to answer, my impatience growing with each passing
moment.
Finally, the door swung open, and I found myself face–to–face with Simon’s mother. Her expression was one of surprise, quickly replaced by a haughty disdain as she regarded me with cold eyes.
“What do you want?” she asked, her voice dripping with condescension.
I squared my shoulders, refusing to be intimidated by her icy demeanor. “I’m here to speak. with Mr Kingston,” I replied, my voice steady despite the raging storm of emotions within me. “I have some questions that need answering.”
Simon’s mother’s lips curled into a disdainful smirk. “And why would he want to speak with you?”
I felt a surge of anger bubbling up inside me, but I pushed it aside, determined to keep my composure. “That’s none of your concern. I demand to see him.”
She scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest in a gesture of defiance. “I’m afraid my husband is not available at the moment. Perhaps you should come back another time.”
I clenched my fists, struggling to keep my temper in check. “I’m not leaving until I speak. with him. This concerns my family’s business, and I won’t rest until I get the answers I deserve.”
Simon’s mother’s eyes narrowed, a flicker of annoyance passing across her features. “Fine. Wait here.”
With that, she slammed the door shut in my face, leaving me standing alone on the doorstep, seething with frustration. But I refused to be deterred. I would wait as long as it

“How dare you lay a hand on my husband!” she spat, loaded with tons of venom. “You little wretch, who do you think you are?”
I met her gaze head–on, my own anger matching hers in intensity. “Your husband deserved every bit of that slap,” I retorted, my voice cold and unyielding. “He’s the one responsible for destroying my family’s business, and he needs to be held accountable.”

do it? You’re nothing but a spoiled little princess who’s never had to work a day in her life,”
Her words cut deep, but I refused to let her belittle me. “I may come from a wealthy family, but that doesn’t mean I won’t fight for what’s right,” I shot back, my voice laced with determination. “And unlike you, I won’t stand by and watch as my family’s legacy is torn apart by greed and deceit.”
Simon’s mother’s eyes flashed with indignation, her hands balling into fists at her sides.” You’re delusional if you think you can challenge us,” she spat, her voice dripping with contempt. “We have power and influence that you could only dream of.”
I refused to back down, my resolve unwavering in the face of her threats. “You may have power, but I have something far more powerful,” I declared, my voice ringing out with conviction. “I have the strength of my convictions and the unwavering support of my family. And together, we will fight until justice is served.”
Mr Kingston continued to seethe with rage, his face contorted with fury, he pointed a trembling finger at me.
“Get out of my house this instant, you insolent little brat!” he roared.
“your house?” I scoffed. “More like a den of thieves and liars.”
his eyes blazed with fury at my words; his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white. “How dare you speak to me like that!” he thundered, his voice booming with anger.
Still, I didn’t flinch; I was mad as hell. “How dare you destroy my family’s business and think you can get away with it?” I shot back, my voice rising with each word. “You’re nothing but a coward hiding behind your wealth and influence.”
Simon’s mother stepped forward, her eyes flashing with malice as she glared at me. “You think you’re so righteous, don’t you? Well guess what 1, you’re just a spoiled little girl who doesn’t know the first thing about real life.”
Her words stung, but I refused to let her tear me down. “At least I have the courage to fight for what’s right. Unlike you, who hides behind your husband’s wealth and power.”
Simon’s father’s face turned a deep shade of red as he struggled to contain his rage. “You have no idea who you’re dealing with,” he seethed, his voice low and dangerous.
“I know exactly who I’m dealing with,” I declared.“A pair of cowardly bullies who think they can trample over anyone who stands in their way. Well, I’m here to tell you that you’ve met your match.”
“What nonsense is this?” Simon’s voice came from behind, and I turned around to look at
him.
