The Love From Vengeance ( Ariel )

Chapter 330

330: WEIGHT OF TRUTH

ARIEL’S POV

Laura made her way inside the restaurant, looking around. She was wearing a green.

dress, no makeup, just her actual countenance.

I waved my hands, and she treaded in my direction when her eyes caught me. Finally approaching my table, she sat down.

“Good evening, Laura. I’m glad you could make this possible.” I smiled at her.

“Okay, Ariel. Let’s get straight to the point. I have other things to do now. What is it

don’t to talk about?”

I didn’t put an end to my smiling face. “Well, I have two things to tell you.”

“Go ahead, then. You don’t have to keep me waiting,” Laura told me, her eyes scanning the restaurant like she was in a rush to go somewhere or something. Well,

she did mention that earlier.

“Calm down, Laura. We’ll take this slowly because the information I have for you is a heavy e.”

“you please stop wasting time?”

“Okay, miss. Your wish is my command,” I said, gently tapping the table repeatedly, but I didn’t take my eyes off Laura. “There are two things I have 1 ell you. One is a question. But I’ll go with that one first since the other might leave you broken.”

Laura heaved her brows in confusion. “Say what now?”

“There’s no need to stress yourself. There’s no need to worry about anything. However, my question goes like this:

”

I moved my face closer to hers, and in a whisper, I asked. “Did you kill Mason?”

“Did I kill Mason? What the hell is that, Ariel? “Is Mason dead?”

“Yes, he is,” I told her, leaning on my chair, feeling comfortable.

“Hold on. Are you for real? “The Mason that tried to kill you is dead.”

330: WEIGHT OF TRUTH

“Yeah. Don’t you know about that?”

“How am I supposed to know?”

I cautiously asked her, “So you didn’t kill him?”

“No, I didn’t. “Why would such a thought even come into your mind?”

“Because….

I paused, letting out a deep sigh. “Never mind.”

“I guess I’m done with that. You can go ahead with the second one. I have no time to

waste.”

“Okay, I’ll get this conversation done as soon as possible,” I said to her. After that, I took my phone out of my purse and went to the video of Bernardo and that woman.

I handed the phone to Laura. “Here you go.”

“What’s this?” She asked, taking the phone from my hand..

“See for yourself.” I smiled. But it was kind of a false expression. I didn’t think I was in the mood for any of those joyful expressions.

Laura gasped the moment she glanced at the phone’s screen. Not believing her eyes, she covered her mouth.

When she fixed her eyes back on me, she quizzed, “What is this?”

“It’s your husband sleeping with another woman. “And just so you know, this isn’t the first time I caught him getting involved in such an act.”

“What? This can’t be. Bernardo promised me he wouldn’t do such a thing. He loves me, Ariel. This cannot be true.

“You’re seeing it for yourself. The choice is left to you. Do what you have to do. That’s none of my business.” I stood up.

Laura slammed the table. “How long have you known this?”

“You

don’t have time to waste, remember?” I reminded her of her harsh words. “So, good night. All the best.” I smiled at her before walking away.

WUGHT OF TRUTH

As I walked along the dimly lit road, the weight of the conversation with Laura lingered in my mind. It was a heavy burden to bear knowing the truth about. Bernardo’s infidelity. I couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease that settled in my

chest.

But Laura did make me angry. Her rude tone made me feel like I didn’t want to spend

a second with her.

Lost in my thoughts, I didn’t notice the figure approaching until it was too late. When we collided unexpectedly, I stumbled backward, almost losing my balance.

“I’m sorry.” I apologized, but the moment I looked at the person who I had crashed

into, my face changed.

It was a familiar face and of course, one of the people I hated the most. Given that she was an animal, I should have despised her even more. She was an absolute

monster, and she didn’t deserve to be on this earth. Mason’s death should have

included her as well.

Harriet looked at me as well, and we could not get our eyes off each other. Only the glare was present in our faces, and the darkness unfolded.

“Ariel. What a nice thing to see you here!” Harriet smirked. “Why are you staring at me like that? Are you surprised that I escaped from that place you locked me in?”

“I wouldn’t care less, Harriet. You can go to hell. That’s none of my oddamn

business.”

“You killed Mason, didn’t you?” Harriet uttered.

“Oh, you know he’s dead? Who told you that?”

“That’s none of your business!” Harriet snapped. “I know you killed Mason.”

“I wish I was the one who did it. I would have been more happy than I am right now.”

“Enough with the lies.

“Just get out of my sight, Harriet!” I barked at her, closing my eyes. “Get out before 1. lose it.” *

330 WEIGHT OF TRUTH

After glaring at me for a moment, Harriet whispered, “I will leave you, but my presence will still be felt. Because I’m going to make your life a living hell.”

After that, she walked away, leaving me feeling uneasy. I should have just gripped her and strangled her neck. However, I had no idea what came over me or why I let her go. The problems were not over yet if that was the case.

“So, I’m curious to know how your nighttime adventure turned out. Care to share with me?” Luke offered me a cup of hot tea, settling down on the couch next to me in the

living room.

After drinking some tea, I sighed deeply, glanced at Luke, and replied, “It was bad.”

“How bad?”

“So bad that I want to rip someone’s brain out. Ughhh,” I answered, thinking about

how I crashed into Ariel.

“Okay, that’s bad.”

“Exactly! I mean, can you believe Laura? I wanted to help her. “I wanted to show her the true man her husband is, but she was being all rude to me.

I took another sip of my hot tea after that. “And I have to compliment you, Luke. This tea is delicious. I never knew you were good at this.”

“Thanks, my grandfather taught me.”

“Oh wow, Sir Reynold’s a great cook after all.”

“You have no idea.”

“Hmm, so that means you’re a great cook.” I smirked at Luke.

“Well, something like that.”

“I see. I’d like to taste your food then.” I slowly dropped the cup of tea on the table.

He chuckled. “You’re only going to make fun of me.

“No, I’m not. I’m not going to make fun of you,” I whispered, looking at him in an

entrancing manner.

Luke remained silent as his gaze shifted towards me. I shifted closer to him,

wrapping my hands around his neck, and I laggardly straddled him, giving him a

warm smile

“The both of you should stop that right now. It’s disgusting.”
