The Leo Shifter

Chapter Leaving Gold Meadow

Back at the Gold Meadow Kingdom, everyone celebrates their victory and luck. Cyra, her family, Madame Leilani, and her friends share a toast with each other while talking. “Everyone… Dominic has been defeated, and our world is safe and sound, all thanks to Cyra and her companions,” said Queen Nalea, introducing the new heroes of the Gold Meadow.

Everyone applauded with joy, some of them took a bow at the heroes. “When we battle together with the Air Kingdom, Gold Meadow, and the Air are now compatible with one another. With fire and air, it is always to match,” said Queen Nalea.

Cyra and Gabriel hold hands with each other, looking into each other’s souls. Gold Meadow and the Air Kingdom are now companions with each other after the war. “Cyra, I rule you as the Master Leo, Fire Witch of the Gold Meadow Kingdom. Forever in our hearts, forever as one of us,” said Queen Nalea as she gave Cyra a very golden wand filled with fire magic in honor.

Cyra holds her first fire wand and uses it to perform pyrokinesis magic, amazing herself and the others. “Thank you, your highness,” said Cyra. “Congratulations, you have mastered the pyrokinesis, my student,” said Madame Leilani as she gives Cyra a hug. “Oh, mom,” said Melissa, now revealing that Madame Leilani is Melissa’s mother and Cyra and her siblings’ grandmother. “Mom? So that means… you’re my grandmother?!” said Cyra, shocked to realize that Madame Leilani is her grandmother.

“Yes, I’m your grandmother and your mentor,” said Madame Leilani. “Why didn’t you say anything about you being a grandma?” said Cyra, confused. “It only takes years for the truth to be shown, my dear,” said Madame Leilani. “Oh, grandma! Thank you,” said Cyra, happy to find out Madame Leilani is now revealed to her grandmother.

The door opens itself, revealing to be the departing portal. “There’s a portal! Does this mean that… we’re going home?” said Madison, happy but then sad. “Yes, it is a portal for you to head back home,” said Lenina. “Aww,” said Madison, saddened. “Does that mean we won’t be seeing each other again?” asked Cyra, talking to Gabriel. “I will always remember you, Cyra,” said Gabriel as his tear fell out of his eye, flowing down his cheek.

Cyra and Gabriel give each other one last hug and a last passionate kiss, Cyra cries that she won’t be seeing Gabriel. It is hard to say goodbye to her first love, but it is time for her and her loved ones to head home from Gold Meadow. They all hugged each other goodbyes before Cyra and the others headed to the portal to go back home. As they are, Cyra looks back at Gabriel with one last smile to each other. She runs back to him and gives him another last kiss. “I love you,” said Cyra. “I love you, Cyra,” said Gabriel.

“Cyra, come on!” said Emily, smiling as she saw her best friend give him another last kiss. “Coming,” said Cyra, talking to Emily. After Gabriel and Cyra give each other another last kiss, Cyra leaves to follow her loved ones to the portal, and they all leave Gold Meadow. Gabriel waves goodbye at her and the others as he watches them leave, tearfully. His companions: Duncan and Theodore comfort him and even King Zephyr comforts him with a pat on his shoulder.

As they went through the portal, Cyra and the others returned home from Gold Meadow. Back in Brooklyn, New York, they’re in the forest again.

“We’re back…” said Madison. “It’s OK, sis. Maybe someday, we’ll come back,” said Emily. “Yeah… I guess we’re just gonna continue our lives back in New York again,” said Cyra, agreeing with Emily’s words.

After they got home, Cyra and her grandmother Madame Leilani went to the library while the others headed back to their homes and Cyra’s parents and siblings headed to see Peony. Cyra is saddened over Gabriel, missing him with all of her heart. “Are you OK, my dear?” asked Madame Leilani. “Yes, I just… miss him,” said Cyra. “I know, my dear. We all miss Gold Meadow together, we will always remember them all. Thank you for saving me and our parents, I’m so proud of you,” said Madame Leilani, giving Cyra a comforting hug. “You’re welcome, grandma. Thanks for the hug,” said Cyra. “Always welcome, my dear. I’ll be right back, I’ll go get us cups of citrus tea, OK?” Said Madame Leilani. “OK,” said Cyra.

Cyra takes the Mysteries of the Gold Meadow book and the map out of her bag, clearing her bag. She places the map back into her grandmother’s office, and she then picks up the Mysteries of the Gold Meadow book in her hands. Before she puts it back on the shelf, she opens the book to see the picture page of Gabriel. “I’m gonna miss your blue eyes,” said Cyra as she took a look at the picture page of him.
