Chapter A Magical Practice
“Madame, I’m here!” said Cyra, calling her mentor. “Cyra, there you are.” said Madame Leilani. “Sorry, I’m late. I think I might’ve overslept,” said Cyra. “I’m certainly sure you’re not that late,” said Leilani. “Oh ok, good,” said Cyra. “Cyra, be sure, you put on your uniform,” said Leilani. “Yes, ma’am,” said Cyra.
Cyra goes to the wardrobe room, where she wears her magician-like robe. Cyra takes off her heels and puts on the uniform boots. As she gets ready, she sees herself in the mirror. She fixes up her curls until she notices a mysterious woman with a white robe and a white mask in the mirror.
“Cyra…. You must stop the evil in the Gold Meadow.” said the mysterious woman. “Who are you?” asked Cyra. The woman in the mirror disappears, and Cyra’s reflection appears again. “Stop what kind of evil? What’s the Gold Meadow?” said Cyra, confused.
Cyra leaves the room, confused. “Are you alright, Cyra?” said Leilani. “There was that weird reflection in the mirror, telling me to stop the evil going on in the Gold Meadow. What’s the Gold Meadow? What does it mean to stop the evil, who is the evil person in Gold Meadow?” said Cyra. “Gold Meadow… What does the reflection look like?” said Leilani. “The woman… She was wearing a white mask, white robe, and white gloves. I didn’t even see what she looked like, her true face.” said Cyra. “That must be the Leo Guardians from the Gold Meadow, the Gold Meadow is a mysterious realm,” said Leilani. “A realm?” said Cyra. “Yes,” said Leilani.
Cyra didn’t know that the Gold Meadow is a realm until she realized this. But she wonders who the Leo Guardians are, the guardian in the mirror who convinced her.
In the magic room, Cyra practices her magic while Leilani watches as she mentors her. “Take it to the top,” said Leilani. Cyra raises her hands to develop her psychic powers: pyrokinesis. Cyra controls the fireball from the flame of the torch.
Cyra looks at the target, keeping an eye on it while creating a fireball for the target. Cyra shoots the fireball at the target but misses one time. “OK, I gotta try it again,” said Cyra, talking to herself. Cyra lights up the fireball with her powers again, looking closely at the target. Cyra shoots at the target with another fireball, hitting the blue spot of the target. Finally, with another fireball gaining in her hands, she shoots the fireball at the red door of the target.
“Good work, Cyra. I want you to know that you have to concentrate more on your pyrokinesis skills no matter what, you gotta keep doing your best at it. Leos like you have the best roar yet, they are prideful, they are generous, and they are protective. Once you become more professional at pyrokinesis, Leos should never give up hope.” said Leilani.
Cyra agrees with Leilani, remembering her words. After practicing… Cyra and Leilani head to the library to look for the book called “The Mysteries of the Gold Meadow”.
“This book is called The Mysteries of the Gold Meadow. One of my spiritual friends wrote this book 10 years ago,” said Leilani. “Your friend wrote this?” said Cyra. “Indeed, she wrote it for everyone to know the history of the Gold Meadow and what the place was. You must take it home and read it because this book is important to anyone else in the world, especially you,” said Madame Leilani. “Yes, ma’am,” said Cyra.
Back home from work… Cyra’s great-aunt Peony is cooking dinner and making lasagna. While Cyra is reading The Mysteries of the Gold Meadow, her friend Emily Mohammed calls her on the phone, and Cyra answers.
“Hey girl!” said Emily on the phone. “Hey, Emily. What’s up?” said Cyra. “Me and my sister Maddie are playing tennis, wanna come?” said Emily. “No, maybe next time. I got a book to read after I was working, the book is called “The Mysteries of the Gold Meadow”.” said Cyra. “What’s that?” said Emily. “It’s about the history of the Gold Meadow and my mentor tells me to read it because it’s important. She said that the Gold Meadow is a realm in history,” said Cyra. “For real?” said Emily. “Yeah,” said Cyra. “Hey, Cyra!” shouted Madison while playing tennis with Emily. “Hey, Madison,” said Cyra, while reading.
As she turns a page, she discovers the mysterious, handsome knight in the picture named Gabriel Cole. “Oh my god!” said Cyra, shocked with her eyes open wide. “Hey, what’s wrong? Why do you sound so shocked?” said Emily. “Well, when I read the page. I saw this man in the book… He’s so…. Handsome.” said Cyra. “Oooh, who’s the man in the book,” said Emily. “I think he’s… Gabriel Cole, the knight,” said Cyra. “Oooooh, Gabriel,” said Emily. “Oh, Emily. You think I’m into him, don’t you,” said Cyra. “I’m just saying, but I think he’s gonna be your knight,” said Emily. “Oh, shut up. I gotta go,” said Cyra. “OK, later,” said Emily, laughing. “Bye, Cyra!” said Madison. “Bye, y’all,” said Cyra.
